Hey I'm bipolar and I use to take celexa...it didn't do so well on me, no sleep at night, random crazy thoughts, always in a bad mood bla bla bla....my doctor change me to cymbalta and now I have a better outcome about life. I think you should talk to your doctor about it!!! please do that Ok.
Get lots of rest, drink water, stay away from caffeine. But my biggest issue is, aren't you a bit young for Celexa ? I mean in all of the stuff I've read, it's not the best Med for young people.
@amandabanana1 Well, I certainly understand having gone through the same thing myself except my depression started when I turned 55. Odd how things like that just turn on you when your not expecting it. Anyway, do well, feel better and take care of yourself, I'll do the same.
I was recently placed on celexa so your video interested me.... I am curious about the with drawls at well that way when the time comes I will know what to exspect.... I am experiencing numerous side effects such as worsening depression, continueing head ache, innability to concentrate, and slow reflex i told my physcitrist but it pushhed it off as cold season... i am very curious to hear your story if you dont min d
@amandabanana1 i see, you look scared in the video... I have been prescribed celexa after bunch of crazy stuff happened involving school and family, first when i was in school i was presribed Straterra which made me SUPER sick, every day on the floor for at least 4 hours, nausea fever, all sorts of no fun. I am incredibly reluctant to try celexa after having a medication that was an antidepressant do as much damage as it did, both psychologically and physically
@NivekYnmiz thanks for the comments. i was really scared to go off of it , but i figured i had to get off it sometime. it was a good decision. the withdrawal wasnt bad at all. i went through crying spells, but its all over now. so how is celexa going for u?
@amandabanana1 I have still yet to try it, my depression gets bad at times, like really scary kinda bad. But that straterra stuff really sent me for a scare as well. i have the bottle just sitting on my desk, i often think if i should try it but always apprehensive
@amandabanana1 you appear about as scared as i feel. i dont know what else i can do, but im not sure i wanna risk my well being on a medication that was prescribed to me without me even asking, especially since i went to doctor to see if the nausea ive been getting lately was related to the damage the other one did. That stuff was the worst experience of my life, and i've had an out of body experience watching myself die in the third person while experiencing it in the first on mushrooms
Respond to this video... oddly enough, the first day i took the strattera, within the first hour i was on the ground, wishing i was dead or the pain would stop, i called my friend and told him i dont know whats wrong with me and that i may need to get to hospital. he comes over with some weed, i decide to smoke some because of how bad it felt, this way id at least be high even if it made it worse. Before i even blew out the smoke all negative symptoms of liver damage were gone
@Happycheeks93 of course it will! i havent experience that with celexa , but when i was coming off lexapro i had it BAD. the zaps they went away within a week. try to keep yourself busy , exercise , clean , do yoga..all these things help ur withdrawal (: (trust me , i sucessfully came off celexa )
@MrDoobious well i'm pretty sure i'm fine...this video was a while ago..so no complaints since. just a couple of days thats it...anxiety was really bad coming off tho.
i'm going through it too. i'm feeling for you. please, please withdraw s-l-o-w-l-y. i've read that you might be able to switch to prozac to wean off of - it has a longer half life (stays in your system longer so you don't feel such bad withdrawal symptoms). just know that you are not alone. surround yourself with supportive people. get therapy if possible. meditate. distract yourself with laughter. try to get at the underlying problem that caused you to take celexa in the first place. peace.
well im on celexa and when you go through a withdrawl you can get angry sometimes or cant think streight and maybe a few headaches now and again but nothing to serious

@amandabanana1 'Brain zaps' can cause permanant or long-term brain damage. Be careful about going cold-turkey.
