Its true. To beat your child fills them with fear, in the beginning, but fear turns into Respect as they get older. A loving parent knows the difference between discipline and abuse. Now I know there's always the exception which some of you will try to argue, but the vast majority of parents know the difference. For me personally I don't think beating the hell out of your kids will discipline a damn thing. All my female friends got they ass beat on a regular all of them have babies, I never got a whupping no kids and I have never been pregnant. I've always done good in school, I've never smoked drunk none of that. It's easy to beat your kids instead of getting more involved in their life. To beat is not discipline. To beat is to instill fear in your child.What do you do when they stop being afraid?

My point was is that most parents that I see hit their children because they are to lazy to get more involved in their child's life. Sometimes beating works to keep their image clean, but there's no telling ho many personal issues they could've gave that child with the abuse. And as for my friend I think her having sex had something to with her getting molested, her mother had men always running in the house, lack of self esteem.The list could go on and on.

I would say you are wrong most parents who beat there child are involved in all parts of the childs life. My mom beat me and she wasnt lazy. My grandmother beat my mother and uncles and she certanly wasnt lazy. I feel like you just cant tell the difference between punishment and abuse. All my friends were beaten all my cousins we were all beaten. So I guess to understand it you would have to have gone threw it.
