@LIJOMLOYID Actually, all you need to write it is the following two steps:
First write the "ra" (र) character in Hindi.
Next, draw a horizontal line through the upper part of that character.
That's it.
It is much simpler and easier to write than the English character for pounds. But somebody should make a video to show how to write it, for non-Hindi speaking people.
Now to get it into the world's most popular operating systems: Windows-7, Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Ubuntu, OpenGL and Logitech & Microsoft keyboards, not to mention Symbian, Android, Maemo, Blackberry, Windows Mobile and J2ME and why even that pretender:iOS.
