  • this guy says ok alot in this vid.lol good teacher very inportent info i didnot know this stuff.

  • you have explained the basic outline of fok sau quite well, however my only critique is that the position and shape of your hand could use a re-adjustment, the most effective fuk sao is NOT with the side of the palm being parallel to the ground(as displayed in this video) thats actually incorrect

  • you can definitely FUK SAUmbody out!!! woooooowatata!!!!

  • thank you Jin for your teaching and dedication. I was taught before using Pak Sau to defend a high straight punch ( to the face), but I feel that Pak Sau may miss a fast punch, using Fuk Sau ,not only save energy, but also has a better chance to catch the punch. thanks.

  • @ TheSrx1 stupidity is not the worst, arrogance and ignorance are the worst, and you get both.

  • we gonna look at wing chun.. OK how to fuk sau OK now OK were gonna train OK so do this OK and its good OK so just practise OK and youll get better OK. OKAY.MMMK.

  • why isnt this man a world pound 4 pound boxing champ earning 10 mill a fight instaed taking a class of 30 or 40 fools earning $200 a night cos he full of it go fight a thai boxer he will beat u to the ground blocking with one hand hah wing chung is for people who never want to get into a fight or fight but fell good thinking they can defend them self it does not work you do not start doing stick hands in a fight

  • @TheSrx1 Before u talk make a research!!U r not doing stick hands in a fight. That is just a way to build your sense where your opponent power goes.Anyway we use it but it cant be seen but be sensed. Is like u grapple and u feel where the other push u.

  • @TheSrx1 Except for the fact that Jin teaches privately for his friends and people he know at a health club after work. He's stated that he doesn't charge for his training, and the only money he gets from doing this is from donations in his website (in which you don't even need to go to). Learn to make a point from something other than ignorance.

  • @TheSrx1 do you realize the difference between thai/western boxers, and wing chun guys? do you realize that wing chun people are usually just practitioners and that boxers are trained FIGHTERS? theres a difference between practitioners and fighters. boxing and muay thai is made for the ring, and its a sport fight by heart. wing chun isnt. youre talking too much stupid shit

  • 100 % wrong use of the Fuk Sau

  • wow,really good demo. and explination.exxcellent work.thanx for this

  • thanks for lesson.. brilliant explanations of what you show.. :)

  • Dude your cool gloed vids done wing Chun for 2.5 years ps i have the Same ringetone i tought my phone whent when i was watching

  • BULLSHITT even Bruce fucking LEE say that's only fucking training.

Man guys 100% you will get knocked out with that.

  • Very good stuff! Keep up the good work! Are you at all familiar with Pan Nam lineage or Master Wong lineage? If so what do you think? Really respect your opinion. Thanks!

  • Another great lesson. Thank you JIN. This really helped out. Practicing it plenty.

  • thanks as always. fuk and tang are new to me. sweet

  • Okay

  • How can you pull enemys punch with fuk and then make tan?If he also hit with chain punch you will catch the first with fuk and the other will hit you if there are fast

  • Do you mean jam sau? That may stop a punch..Fuk no way!

  • Can you explain how that stops the punch? I tried fuk sau with my friend and it seems to do almost nothing.

  • I love your videos, I learned a lot about the concept of the Wing Chun how to use it and as well the Tan Sau, Pak Sau, Chi Sau, Chain Punching, but I would like to see by a video if possible, how the Wing Chun will be efficient against a boxer, real life fight etc.

    Thank You :)

    Continue your great work!

  • fuk sau drill (basics im better

  • Very well explained. Thank you Jin and Michael

  • have you watch ip man 2?

  • I have to say that you're one of the best guy sharing this wonderful art (wing chun)on youtube .Keep it up

    Bow.

  • you're good at explaining

  • Good

  • NICE video, like always, also nice beard!!! (go asian beard!)

  • fuk sau is indeed is a good way to catch a strong punch.. and this technique could be quite useful for ladies who do not have as much energy as guys.. but in a real fight.. i feel that fuk sau may not always work especially against fighters.

  • My friend, I have practice kung fu for some time, but am still ignorant of such subtle details. You often enlighten me greatly, perhaps you can help me understand properly. In sil lim tao the fuk moves forward and puts me in mind of forward jamming and intent, but in other's sLT they reverse the pak and fuk and it draws inward as you show here. for me 'tis like mantis hook and can pull and strike with back of wrist, but frankly my brothers will push forward if I pull this way and drill me.

  • fook/fuk sao is best used in defending a round punch on the outside with the elbow in and the wrist out with the fingers facing diagonally outward (used simultaneously with a punch)....punches on the inside should be re-directed or stopped with a pak or a jum if you miss the pak....this is very traditional (misguided) techniques IMO and usually only works in a choreographed kung fu movie :P

  • Good explanation. In Jook Lum Southern Mantis the Fuk is called Sik (Eat) hand. Eat the same side, biu the eyes. If you sik the opposite side, you saat or pai (slice) the throat. Kudos to you China Boxer.

  • FUK

  • I've reached the stage now .... I believe, where sparring is the only way I will see what works for me and what doesn't. After all Wing Chun is a fighting Art not just for debating. Like for what you said about the elbow being in? Others will say keep the line from chamber to target; or your punch will be off? I personally agree with elbow In as you do, used correctly opponents attacks can also be trapped. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. regards Paul.

  • I like your concepts ... there are too many Wing Chun hardliner .... If it works then why not ... I was always taught 'Pak Sau' for this defence but then I've got the frame to take the advantage on most.

  • true that i think Fuk Sau is better than Pak Sau in defending, from my expeience as a female student of WC

  • Hi Jin,

I am not completely in agreement about this fuk sau drill.

By "playing catchup" you expose yourself to the punch. Fuk sau in my experience should always have forward directional force. By projecting the fuk sau forward the attacking arm will be re-directed away from the body by sliding the fuk sau along the attacking arm, or if the attacking arm comes forward, it will be re-directed.

This technique is dependent on you being faster than your opponent. Too risky by bringing chi into u

  • Just a quick question, who did you learn Wing Chun from?

  • another GREAT lesson! thanks Jin!

  • no problemo, peace!

  • @chinaboxer Can you please do a session on combinations?

  • If I don't have a friend that could help me practicing this techniques,is there another way to learn them?

  • you can practice on anything with a straight limb, obviously a wooden dummy would be ideal, but be creative and see what you can come up with.

  • yes, you are a female amster! -_o

  • my pox is so powerful and so well trained that I could pax someones arm out of there socket by hitting there wrist...is this kind of power normal after years of wing chung development? I'm on year 4 now.

  • But before the hand turns into a fook sao, it is already in the wu sao guarding hand position. So, it's actually a fook sao/wu sao technique. Very cool.

  • nice observation!

  • hey jin, would you cover JUT SAO? one of complex movement of wing chun but also effective and has many use. i think it will be great. because i'm a bit confused by it. keep up the good work. peace

  • yes, jut sau is on my "to do list". slowly but surely!

  • What you do not know is that in siu nin tao, fook sao has the role of energy storage by, for fook are as defense takes another form, wing chun is not the official transliteration, as yip man has changed the way to know that toilet is short the place to do personal hygiene, I was a student of moy yat ending the system and with whom you trained? who taught you not over the system! Search and will know the truth!

  • saw your video on your channel and i must say, you are obviously a female master. thanks for enlightening me. peace!

  • Nice drill, but I don't believe that fak sao can catch a realistic punch.

  • that's a drill dude if you use fuksau for real switch your body away from the fire line simultaniously.

My English sucks I hope you get what I'm trying to say...

  • It really depends on the skill/conditioning of the puncher.

Fuk sau isn't a unique Wing Chun invention, its Shaolin, and as such fuksau isn't a one-trick pony.

    Its a multi-headed hydra.

  • whether you catch the punch with a fuk or not is not important, it's about "defending your center" which is the real value of fuk sau.

because you are right, some boxers are very fast and retreat the hand quickly. so never try focusing on their hands, focus on adhering to the concepts and principles that make wing chun work.

  • @chinaboxer Absolutely agree with you, Jin. "Defending your center" really works and fuk sao makes so much sense in terms of biomechanics.

I've only had a few weeks of Wing Chun (my background is Judo, Karate, TKD, Tai Chi, Western boxing) and was struggling even with the basic movements. I wasn't getting the results I was looking for.

Your videos have really helped and enlightened me. Keep up the great work!

  • @chinaboxer What would be the best Wing Chun Technique vs. a jab? I read somewhere that Bruce Lee used some kind of technique called Po Pai Jeung vs. a Boxer?

  • @WhirlwindWerewolf

As I understand it, Po Pai is quite an advanced 'techinique'. I would recomend working on developing your basics such as paak sau & fuk sau and make sure your footwork is well developed too, ideally get someone who is a boxer to do some training with. (train with them tho, dont just fight/spar them)

  • @chinaboxer I`ve watched a few of your films Great understanding!Do you have any man sao drills to close the gap, or pac da , tan da ,lon sau, die bong drills for reinforced blocking and deflection for over commited attacks thank you vey much!

  • @chinaboxer I think something missing here.It is or it is not important the fuk sau.U can defend the center without fuk sau, so what is for?

  • are you crazy , are bringing the punch to your body?you are crazy ando not kwon ving tsun , this form of fuk sao is to use in siu nin tao , never to combat!

  • Eh...no. There isn't a single movement within Siu nim tao that doesn't have practical value or can't be translated into practical fighting. This is what most schools or traditions teaches, so I really don't see where you're coming from with that comment.

And this is not Ving Tsun, this is Wing Chun. Tip: don't call Jin crazy and imply he doesn't know Wing Chun...noone will take you seriously after that statement.

  • I couldn't agree more. My sifu just showed me last night how true that is. After the double side block to back then frontthen the raising of the arms, you do it at an angle up to your body, not just straight up. It blew my mind how easy it was to movce a 200+ pound man back on his heels. Still have alot to learn, and Jin's teachings as well as my sifu's remind me of that every day. Train Hard.

  • das koo das koo

  • another really great lesson

  • thanks!

  • haha, good drill.

i sometimes do this while playing pak sao and my sidai are like 'huh?'

  • nice =D

  • This helped a lot. Thank you so much! I think you guys are doing a really really good job making these videos. I've never really understood the fuk sau before, but this was very helpful to me. Again thank you.

  • glad it's helped you, peace!

  • your application of fuk sau shows the user receive the force into himself. Why in the first form doe fuk sau project out ?

  • To follow the opponent's hand as he attempts to withdraw his fist after the strike.

  • hanselang is correct. don't forget that there are many different ways to utilize the fuk sau movement. this video is just one example of many uses.

  • thanks !

  • 9:20-9:49 MATRIX STATUS...

nice stuff jin and the gang. thanks a lot!

  • lol..i'm Neo! =D

    glad you enjoyed it, peace!

  • Shifu Jin, Thanks a lot. U kinda look like Manny 'Pacman' Pacquiao with the beard and mustach. ;p

  • if only i had his skill too! -_o he's an amazing boxer.

  • THANK YOU GREAT STUFF

  • no problemo, peace!

  • Oh hey, I am glad to see you got better! Thanks for doing all of this, I find it really helpful!

  • almost 100% thanks!

  • Thanks for posting! I appreciate it!

  • glad you enjoyed it, keep practicing!
