I work with Catia V5 R16 (version 5, release 16)

And V5 exists (in VW Golf V5 2.3L for example) however looking at this engine its not a V5 !!!

@JsRacingTeamAU I don't know who I was talking to, being that the comment is 7 months old, but yes VW does have V5 engines. Was probably referring to a specific car.

P.S. If you're referring to especially the 2.3L V5 (found in a number of their cars, including golfs etc, they aren't true V engines. They are staggard. All cylinders share the same bank.

@sh1znack I am referring to the 2.3 V5 yes. The W8, W12 and W16 all work on a similar concept effectively having two banks of the "inline" V setups.

There is such thing as V5 engine!!!

I didn`t beleve it either. Acctualy it`s not classical v5 - it`s VR5 and I don`t gavemixed it up with VR6.

V5 engine is used in VW Golf Mk4, bora and maybe in passat. As far as ikonow it`s used in some Audi cars too. Check wikipedia yourself!

It does not have one cylinder bank with 2 cylinders and one with 3; rather, it has all 5 cylinders sharing a single bank. 3DS is awesome for games, movies and special effects but Catia is WAY better for CAD and CAM because it has features like production and design analysis. When you want to build and manufacture a car or a plane from the inside out you will use this.

Your stroke is too long cause the big end throws are spinning by their counter weights.

Move the counter weights away from the crank main axis. The stroke should be slightly less than the bore
