if you watch the video closely, the rod did not have enough flex to deal with the jewfish. likely to be cropped too short. frankly its hard to have any fun with such a rod, that does not have enough length to taper.

Once a friend was doing some under water welding on an offshore rig when a Goliath tried to suck him in head first, It managed to get his hood and a chunk of his wet suit. Luckily his spotter jabbed it with an oxy-lance to chase it away. He said it was big enough to take half his body in one gulp, he's 6'2" and 230 lbs.
