I saw him perform this song at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The whole show was beautiful; he did a double encore! Love Ray, he's one of the best singer/songwriters of our time.

I can't tell you how much I LOVE this song. I saw it at the show Boston and have been obsessed with it ever since. Thank you for posting it! It is the only way I can hear it. I was pretty sad to learn that it is not on his latest album :(

Me too!! I purchased the album yesterday and disappointed that "Roses & Cigarettes" wasnt on it. I saw him live in Indianapolis and fell in love w/ this song. So, I found it on iTunes and purchased a whole other copy. LOL He is so worth it!!

nothing againts ray , cause i love him , But the arrangment would not be rays idea, it would be ethan johns his producer. Ray gets the basic mood and lyrics and ethan adds his touch on it to what you are hearing now.
