@Tehmultifish Well, the beat he has in the beginning is a dubstep beat. I personally am not one for this kind of dubstep... it's monotonous and boring. I mean, I love house techno, but dubstep to me should be beefy and crunchy, not delicate and light... I commend him for the work, I know how long it takes to create the dubstep sounds, but there's simply not enough for me... Sorriez. :3

I sampled for the first time in Sonic Rainboom, and I spent a lot of time just learning/listening to wubstep for this song. I need to know what works, what doesn't, and hopefully, in a year, I might be able to do some of those beefy, crunchy dubstep you're talking about. Anyways, thanks for the advice!

It's still a nice song, but I think it would have been BETTER without the dubstep elements. You've a beautiful backing track, very circusy and discordant (reminds me of a Banjo Tooie map) with some suitable Discord quotes inter-cutting the rhythm. Dubstep's fine, but doesn't fit with the song.

@PhoenixUnity07 I disagree, sure he was silly the whole time but he posed a very serious threat to the characters and came dangerously close to winning. I guarantee many a small child shuddered while watching that episode.
@DoctorLazers Not really - it was only a difference in their defeats' nature. While Nightmare Moon could only be defeated by teamwork, rather than a single pony's effort, Discord required a single unbroken spirit that would, in turn, "re-activate" the other Elements - the exact opposite.
Let's also mention the fact that Nightmare Moon essentially wanted to destroy all life in Equestria, and could've done so fairly efficiently unless interrupted, while Discord only wanted to bring mere chaos.
@MareInTheMoon No she just wanted to bring eternal night, that's not even that bad. Discord wanted to turn everything into a batshit crazy hell hole and for a time he actually succeeded.
@MareInTheMoon This is a world of magic so normal rules don't apply. It was never stated that such a thing would happen so we are to assume it wouldn't. Occam's Razor my friend. We are to assume that the answer which relies on the fewest new assumptions is the correct one. Nightmare was simply a far less capable villain than Discord.
The way I see it Nightmare Moon/Luna and Celestia are of equal power. They needed to work together to defeat Discord so by that logic Discord is more powerful.
@DoctorLazers We can safely assume Nightmare Moon is by far more powerful than Celestia as the Princess was not able to hinder her mutated sister's progress, furthermore, while it is indeed a world of magic it should seem natural to any world that in European and European-like climate the night is indeed colder than the day, independent from the season. Such climate, however, is given in most parts of Equestria as far as we've seen.
@MareInTheMoon She was however powerful enough to banish her to the moon in the first place. The y are equal so if Celestia challenged her it could have gone either way and if Celestia were to win then Luna would be destroyed. She instead came up with a plan to have Twilight and her friends utilize the Elements of Harmony and revert her transformation.

Other than that, in both cases the hero - be it Celestia, the two sisters or the mane cast - required the might of the Elements to defeat evil, which would imply both Discord and Nightmare Moon were too powerful to be defeated without them.
