No band has ever connected with me like Fishbone. Any time they are within 200 miles, I have to go. I have only broken that rule once since 1993. I wll be seeing them at Skatopia in Rutland,OH later this month
One of the things that just makes me happy is to watch Fishbone and specially Angelo Moore as a frontman, in such a great form, if you know what i mean, this song is about 20 years old, and you can see Angelo nowdays doing the same movements from 2 decades ago.
obviously that is the product of not being on hard drugs, in comparison with many other musicians unfortunately.
I was at this concert in Pecs, Hungary. It was one of my oddest concert experiences. Yeah...old people getting seated for the event during sound check. Than young people started to gather in front of the stage, but security kept us in a distance and made us sit down. For the first couple of songs people remained seated on the ground...like it was some symphony orchestra concert.
But then at one point (maybe it was Sunless Saturday) the crowd could not be held back by the bulldogs. People jumped up as the band bursted into the song (maybe after the acoustic intro to Sunless) and chaos started...the security guys were washed away.
absolutely loved that...makes me want to fly to cali now, get wit my fuckn' band and jam like no tomorrow, whoever uploaded this just made my day thanx. :)
I like this updated version of "Sunless Saturday". I think the new version of Fishbone will bring new songs and new energy to the group. I like the new CD "Stll Stuck In Your Throat".
