  • School's out... a song that never would fly post 9/11.

    I miss those times...

  • @AngelusDlion lol why is that?

  • @RagnaroekChaos "School is blown to pieces"

Play that song in school now you're likely to be expelled for some bullshit zero tolerance offense. Sorry for the slow reply, not on YouTube as much as I used to be.

  • @AngelusDlion no worries. Yeah we have something similar about violent video games in Germany.

  • Thank you for posting this, good memories.

  • Hey I'm 13 years old and I love this show. I really think Disney Channel should bring it back. This is one of my favorite episodes.

  • "you should see his sister, James Fenemore"... Awesome!

  • COOPER COOPER COOPER COOPER

  • I miss this show! I used to love it as a kid. That and Snaggle Rock. Damn kids these days are missing out.

  • @rednogo Manson is not a big time star anymore, if anyone that is freaky would be on the show its Gaga...

  • They sure don't make shows as they use to wish this show was still on

  • I photographed ALice in 75 and 77. To see the shots go to 70srockphotos (.com)

  • This is the first muppets episode I have ever seen...I couldn't stop laughing!

  • I miss this show so much! I loved watching it as a kid.

  • I heard Alice was brought on to prove that it wasn't strictly a kids' show.

  • @SithianHawk No, not strictly for kids, but it was a family show.

  • Interesting that Kermit sings the Rainbow Connection & in this Robin sings Over the Rainbow.

  • who is james pennamore?

  • @MichaelHansenFUN (I copied this from Wikipedia) James Fenimore Cooper (September 15, 1789 – September 14, 1851) was a prolific and popular American writer of the early 19th century.

  • @MichaelHansenFUN James Fenimore Cooper. He wrote the Last of the Mohicans. But that's not the joke.

  • "This is the voice of Doom!!"

    Sounds like Gonzo..

    LOL

  • Loving the tale Alice

  • Alice looks so small compared to those giant puppets! XD Love him and love Henson :)

  • Pyramide Head is a Muppet! 4:00

  • This was realy fun !

Thank You for posting it here.

One of the greatest shows at all !

  • best kids show ever! too awesome

  • awwwww!!! :D!!

Alice was kinda hawt at that time....

  • Aww man this was definitely such an awesome episode, I certainly enjoyed it! It's already epic with Alice Cooper in the picture ^_^

Kermit: Is that the contract with the devil?

Gonzo: No it's worse then that! It's the bill from special effects!

    LOL!! XD

  • 3:38

Alice Cooper can really bring the house down.

    ;)

  • It's not a kids' show. It was aimed at the family as a whole. Puppets for kids, now and then a bit of mature humor for the adults, and songs everyone could enjoy. Right?

  • Statler: So thats was Alice Cooper!

Waldorf: You should see his sister, James Fenimore!

    LOL

  • they need to do this again to introduce alot of artists and me and my brother he would go woth the saxaphone guy i dunno who i would go great with but watch my mahnahmahnah thing and maybe seeing me with a puppet ya can tell me which muppet i would do great with.

  • what a great Combination Back Then, the creative forces of Jim Henson and The Muppets, and added The creative Rock showman Alice Cooper. I love this Episode, Thank You for Posting It SoulMs.:o)

  • Thank you very much for the 3 parts of this Muppet Show video!!! I enjoyed it very much! :D Greetings, from Hungary :)

  • Alice Cooper's cool, but personally, I prefer "Hurra, hurra, die Schule brennt!" by German 80s cult band Extrabreit.

I recommend checking that one out.

  • @TechnoEstate Thanks for the recommendation. They're pretty cool. I still prefer Cooper though. He's the granddaddy.

  • the joke at the very end james ... who is that?

  • @darkmarkrammstein james fenimore cooper, look it up on wikipedia

  • @Rhonion : He wrote sea-novels.

  • Hahahaha... 3:46 :)

    Thanks for sharing!

  • OMFG, this made me smile so much! Thanks for posting :-)

  • I think as a kid my biggest nightmare was being eaten by one of those larger Muppet Monsters.

  • @madcapromanian which is funny, there's a muppet monster dedicated to Eating things

  • Thanks SO much for posting :D This is awesome!

  • that was a good one to watch with halloween coming around the corner

  • On the Muppet show nothing was ever not made a joke of.

  • I LOVE the Muppet show! <3

  • i love this !

  • this is the bill for special effects!

that was one of the best parts of the show!

  • The 70s were such an amazing era of television and music.

Everything about that era was creative, fun and entertaining. Added to the multitudes of brlliant musicians and song writers. I will never forgett hat decade as it was my childhood and the funnest and most influental time of my life.

Thanks a ton for posting these :)

  • I wish this show was still around - it was so clever!!

  • I remember watching this as a repeat about 20 years ago, not seen it since, THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING!

  • Can you imagine if the muppet show were still around today? I can just see Marilyn Manson hanging out with gonzo!

  • Or Rob Zombie hanging out with Animal.

  • Manson would neve go on the show.

I think Rob Zombie would love to perform Boogieman on the muppet show.

  • @bongobingoaz Oh wow! that would be the 2nd best episode after this!

  • @bongobingoaz that would be the best thing ever, but more likely they'll get Lady Gaga. Still good but not as good

  • Influenza H1N1 (gripe porcina)

  • =D that was awesome!

  • Betcha Alice had a ball on this...if he were sober!

  • He was sober, this was recorded on March 28-29-30, 1978. 3 months after he was released from the hospital for his alcoholism

  • "You should see his sister, James Fenimore!" xD What kids show now references classic literature in its jokes? Absolutely wonderful!

  • ya this is good days!

  • Ahh, they don't make shows like this anymore! Stuff that was funny for the kids as well as the adults who watched. They had this on every night at the military base where my hubby grew up. They threatened to take off the show, but all the soldiers protested!! X3

  • LOVE THIS SONG. these were deff the good old days....

  • "Family show" is far to often an synonym for a kids show.

  • Why didn't david bowie ever appear on the muppet show!!!!

  • you rock alice cooper i love schools out for the summer

  • man i wish i was a kid when this show was around

  • HeeYeah! Man, we could use a lot more tv like this. Thank you so much for posting this SoulMS. I loved the Muppets and I love Alice Cooper. Does anybody know when this originally aired?

  • It aired on November 2 1978, the best episode ever! Alice is the best!!

  • Thanks, bowiefan1993. Geez that seems such a long time ago.

  • Everyone who worked on this show was a genius. Kissy-kissy to them all.

  • Only Alice could go on a "kids" show and leave it even more of a show rocker.

  • It was a family show. It was one of the variety shows that would air at night time (which was a time that was intended for an older audience). My mother remembers watching it with her friends when she was in high school.

  • I watched it myself when I was a kid.

(I still think it was very well put together)

  • Is that the contract with the devil? No it's worse than that, it's the bill from special effects. LOL

  • @notasasukefangirl the comments from the guys in balcony always make me laugh, need to memorize some so I can use them.

  • Best Muppet Show episode ever.

  • @FluffMyGarfield If you think this is good, watch the Star Wars episode on season 4.

  • @FluffMyGarfield Not for me. I think the best episode is the one where the muppets are all turning into chickens.

  • i agree! it's the only muppet show i remember!

  • This was one of my absolute favorite episodes of The Muppet Show when I was a kid. I remember watching it when I was around 4-5 years old. Thanks so much for posting it!

  • the monsters haven't been this exited over a guest since Vincent Price

  • love them all 3 rock my sox!!!
