Give me platforms that are cleaned 4 times a day, a station where people can get rest in clean dormitories (even if sleeping on floor), porters that don't over-charge and lecher on women and one official who is sympathetic enough to listen. This is not a "renovated" station let alone "World Class"... This is a very substandard shit... Go and see railway stations in other nations... :-\ Plus, for an economy the size of India's, this only highlights the level of corruption... For an average Indian this may be a little more comfort than he/she usually experiences, but, I'm a Indian too and I am unable to defend why India's main city have such shitty station built w/ money alotted for the World Class building but only built shit.......

I live in the US, but I can tell that India is improving its stations and airports and other facilities. Also, New Delhi has a nice looking renovated railway station. So you think twice before you act. Stupid cunt freak!! >:)

If somone interested in looking upon what it will eventually look after modernisation look for it on Wikipedia (images) , Terry farrels website and search google.

However due to many having Stay Orders against it resulted in its delay due to which railways have to temporarily content with its renowation coz of 2010 Delhi CWGs Games. Since modernisation work will restore soon (after CWGs10), the railways do not wanted to spent too much on what is to be demolished in near future. But I must say whatever has been done is though a remarkable job. Now anytime you can be to this station & can easily see it counting on DMRCs footprints (a.k.a cleanliness).

If somone basks about the New Delhi Railway Station renovation being world class or not. I would like to tell everybody that the new delhi railway station has been renovated upto its full approach and the reason of it being not a 'World Class' station is that the bid to modernise it into a world class has been awarded to Terry Farrell and Partners.
