  • 0:25 - 0:32 I hope Jose hears that in his sleep every night.

  • had to rewind. i thought he said two hundred and twenty pounds

  • i knew this man when i was a kid my aunt and uncul owned who cares resta bar across from sportum in dallas tx he was a great great man to bad he got kill by a dirty low down good for nothing dog

  • @texasrebel1994 Thats cool as fuck you knew Brody

  • WOW! NOW I'M SCUUURRRD! He truly had the eyes of a madman, almost demonic and Satan-like. I'll probably see those eyes when I go to sleep tonight. RIP Brody

  • He was the best. One of a kind. RIP

  • HUSS HUSS HUSS

  • uh blank much? lol Bruiser Brody, one of the craziest wrestlers on the mic, there was.

  • Ah yes! I'm from Shreveport, Louisiana. I was 6 yrs old when this was done, so I never got to go to the matches. How awesome, thanx for posting this :)

  • ahh Joe Blanchard ! Love ya Joe

    RIP Bruiser Brody!

  • he's crazy as hell. He and Hansen made a bad ass team, espeically in Japan. Two guys I wouldn't square off against.

  • @Jarsfan1997 Those two in Japan made the original ECW look tame.

  • Didn't he get stabbed to death in a locker room?...can u tell me when

  • July 1988. He was stabbed in a locker room in Puerto Rico by Jose Huerta Gonzales, aka the Invader. He died a few hours later in a Puerto Rican Hospital.

  • Of course Joe Blanchard was the promoter for Southwest Championship Wrestling, one of the most underated promotions ever & he was the father of Tully Blanchard of the 4 Horsemen.

  • I like it when he goes "I done heard the call" and pulls the hair away from his ear. Great Promo.

  • Stan & Brody were the best friends. Both of them are from the football team of WTSU and broke into wrestling business in 1973. Actually, even coaches of WTSU were afraid of the two back then.lol Stan once said, "Frank (Brody) is the only friend to talk with not only about business but about anything else including families, life, and philosophy." Barbara Goodish, the widow of Frank, also once said some time after the murder, " It is only Stan that still gets in touch with us."

  • R.I.P BRODY

    YOU ARE THE BEST

  • that guy could be sean connerys brother

  • He should be inthe hall of fame. Thanks for posting!

  • That is one sweet suit. I wonder where I can get one of them

  • John nord did a great verson of him as the berzerker. The berzerkers character is nuts!!

  • rip brody

  • tully's daddy in polyester

  • wow dig that Polyester blue suit!

  • Brody is one of my favorite promos next to Cactus Jack.

  • Thanks for posting this. WWF/e(whatever)& Mcmahon couldn't have handled Bruiser & Stan Hansen! I cannot believe pro wrestling has died so tragically. Mcmahon & cronies have destroyed the regional promotions..I've been to a few of the independent shows-& they seem to have the same sex references & goals to be as sadistic and twisted as possible. I just want to see a good old fashioned wrestling match-like Von Erich's vs Freebirds; Bruiser vs Abdullah.

  • WXW Extreme is excellent--underrated.

Vince is evil; evil always wins.

Please come back--King Kong Brody. "Hus, hus, hus, hus........"

  • If only he could raise from the dead.

  • Yeah, because no one can do what Brody did.

    "Hus, hus, hus, hus....."

  • Actually it was Vince's dad & the WWF that mmade Stan Hansen a star in the first place.

  • @Lfdjake91: Yes, when Hansen supposedly broke Bruno's neck with the Lariat.

  • @vonerichfan I'd love to see that too. Its a shame that the independents think they have to lower themselves to Vince's standards to make it. Dixie isn't much better.

  • Im 31 ,and you bet these are the times that I miss,I miss 80's wrestling,I miss the territories

  • I agree 100%

  • damn in sheveport, that makes me feel so old, im only 27 i remember interviews like this from the 1980s

  • Bruiser Brody, what a great character he was in wrestling. My all-time favorite especially when he was in Dallas with the Von Erichs.

  • Stan Hansen is a gentleman?

  • Mick Foley always says Stan Hansen really is a true gentleman away from the ring.

  • Most accounts of Hansen, (not from American promoters but from wrestlers,) say he was one of the nicest and most generous people they ever met. Unfortunately his stiff style was a result of the fact that the man cannot see without big coke bottle glasses.

  • tony atlas is the only one who seen bruiser have the knife to his neck

  • @bamer45: Tony Atlas and Doug Furnas were both in that locker room in Puerto Rico on July 17, 1988 but were too scared to testify.

@sjmcollins: Duggan and Foley both took a lot from Brody. Pre-Acolyte/APA/JBL Bradshaw was a direct knockoff of Hansen.

@SteveGaines: Bill Alfonso, who was the ref for the Brody-Luger cage match, has said in a shoot interview that the lesson was that you don't tell a veteran how to work a match.

  • great to see Tully's Dad Joe!

  • Hacksaw Jim Duggan has said before that much of his persona was based on Brody, and you can catch a lot of the mannerisms here.

  • Brody was truly an Original!!! Charismatic, Menacing, Expressive, Wild & Tough!!!

  • I have the Luger/Brody match... Brody JUST QUITS SELLING FOR LUGER....Luger is lost as hell....Brody puts the boots to Luger a few times...They tie up... Luger pushs the ref down and climbs over the top of the cage...

  • does anyone have the brody vs luger shoot?

  • I would love if someone had the tape of the legendary Battle of Bruisers — Bruiser Brody vs. Dick the Bruiser from Indiana in the 70s

  • alot of people dont mention that brody, along with being legitly tough, he was a good promo man too

  • Does he blink?

  • He blinks at 1 min 26 secs.

  • Wow, just once

  • also at 1:20

  • Yeah, he did do it, pretty quick; well i'll be damned! Thanks for pointing that out bitchslap666.

  • At first I thought that was Boris Melenko, not Blanchard....AAAHHH, those were the days, RIP Pro Wrestling

  • I would like very much to see this vid of Brody taking

on Bill Watts at the Dome in NO,LA spring'77.Frankly,

all the other matches on that same show.

  • nice

  • That was great stuff. Thanks for posting. R.I.P. Brody.

  • Awesome...Classic!

  • I may not have seen or know anything else surrounding this feud, thus obviously not realising the whole context completely etc., but that is one of the single greatest wrestling interviews I've ever fucking seen! Madness, intensity, psyhcosis etc....it's all in the eyes - where true believeability always lies.

  • You watch this stuff and then wonder just what the hell happened to professional wrestling. This is GREAT STUFF that unfortunately can never be duplicated by todays shitty standards. RIP

  • Nice promo. Thanks for posting this clip.

  • That may be the longest promo I've ever seen from Brody. Fun promo too.

  • Man this was when wrestling was great,I remmeber as a kid,I saw Brody,at memorial hall in kck,he scared the shit out of me! Wrestling was so much better when it was territoral, anyone have the match between Brody and Watts? thanks for the post.

  • Tremendous stuff. Much thanks for upping this one.

  • Brody was awesome! RIP big man. Thanks for posting!

  • That is Joe Blanchard. He owned the Southwest Championship Wrestling promotion and is the father of Tully Blanchard.

  • Who is the fashion plate announcer?

Best I've ever seen of Brody on the stick. More! More!

    Please.

  • WOW! AWESOME! THANKS!
