WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH U LARRY KING..IF U DONT LIKE GAY PEOPLE, WHY THE HELL U WOULD INVITE THEM--..!!!!! AND OFCOURSE U FUCKING DONT HAVE ANY RIGHTS TALK ABOUT SOMEONE'S SEXUAL ORIENTAITION..!!!!
Larry is constantly asking 'is it difficult to kiss a man' etc., because I'm sure it has always been a tough experience for the women who had to kiss his face. It must be fascinating. I am sure both Thea and Michelle, being straight, would still prefer to kiss each other over kissing his fossilized face.
Larry King is just a Mis-informed homophobia dinosaur who stills lives in BC and cant or wont accept the fact that there are Gay people are like straight people. He's a terrible interviewer, doesn't listen and should be put down!
I'm in love with robert's eyes and smile ! he's great and it must be difficult for him to answer those question since he wasn't out yet...
And Larry is more interested in their sexual orientation than anything about that show (assuming you haven't kiss a woman ..considering you're straight)
Thank you for writing the best show ever!!!! changed my life. And for you rude larry- I'm a straight maried woman, mother of 3 boys, who cares if they turn out to be staright or gay???
Oh, thank God times are changing, people are learning about us and gay marriage is being allowed in more and more countries around the world every year. 1 month ago they finally allowed the gay marriage for good here in Brazil.
The least one can do prior to conducting an interview is do his or her homework. Learn the guests names, the character's names, and the content of the show. Basic journalistic skills. Jeez.
It's just unbelievable how rude King is in this, he dismisses and even interrupts mid-sentence all the male actors but as soon as he gets to Thea and Michelle he goes on and on like "oh and how did it FEEL like to kiss a woman" and suddenly becomes SO very appreciative of the show. Strange he didn't ask that to the others. Old pig.
i love how robert tries to stop himself from laughing out loud whenever larry asks him his views thinking he's straight. And he didn't lie at all, or act like he was straight. he just answered in a way that reflected both gay and straight point of view.
I can see how people are upset with Larry having them state their sexual orientation but I'm going to look at the glass half full so to speak. I think Larry did this to show that there are straight people out there who have NO problem playing gay characters. That not everyone has to BE gay to play one in Hollywood without a stigma. It's acting. Bless Gale Harold for his intelligent comments and straight forward answer to if regretting the part he took on. This is what I saw with the question.
About these producers... so talented and open-minded... the two gentlemen are inspiring in so many ways more than one. "personal and professional partners for 30 years"... I wish I could say the same for myself and my gf 30 years later ;D
Ugh, it is so annoying how he keeps talking about "how does it feel different kissing a girl or a guy if you're not gay" seriously? THEY ARE ACTORS. THATS WHAT THEY DO! and personally, if i had to kiss someone on screen I would rather kiss another girl than a guy, even though I'm straight, just because I feel less awkward around other girls. And its not like kissing someone of an opposite gender for a t-v show means you love them or anything? Gosh, i wish he would ask more relevent questions!
Okay,is it just me,or is that butthead Larry asking the same thing troughout the whole interview?"What was it like, wasn't it hard, you as a gay man,how do you think" ....I mean, common,he is sooo obvious, doesn't even try to hide it....
Does he normally mention the sexual orientation of their guests or just here with the Qas cast? He should have introduced himself at the beginning of the show saying "i'm larry king and i'm straight"
All I'm going to say is, LK has to ask these questions, because these represent the questions people are asking, for sure. People don't get some things and I understand that. They don't understand that it's homophobic to say this and that, they just don't know any better.
larry always seems to be aiming at, is it difficult to play....., but the actors really upstages him, they were articulate and well spoken, i think its no wonder that there is such a huge cross over audience (as they put it) the storys and acting is brillant, the british edition was good, but not as well developed as the us version, the us version is far more superior.
the actors seem really frustrated with the questions larry's asking. it's as if he's trying to get them to say that they're uncomfortable with the roles or something. gosh
Yeah I noticed the same thing. He kept asking "do you have a problem with..." "are there any conflicts..." etc. Larry needs to get over it and realise the cast don't have a problem with homosexuality.
What pisses me off is thet he concentrates on the sexual orientation of the characters. and the whole show is about how versatile and compelex these people are. In addition, These characters are very, very real. I know a boy who is staright but is just like Brian- he acts and talks like him and is so much likaed as Brian. Believe it or not he is studing PR. And I see myself in Michael (love life, work, simgle mother, the whole package)- even though I am a straight woman.
Just like HedonisticPisces said, Larry King acts like he had never seen the show before. He should at least watch it if he's going to interview the stars who create it!
The thing is that Robert at this poing had not come out yet, so Larry keep's asking him questions assuming he is strait when he's not, so Robert is thinking "Jesus man, I AM gay! My perspective is the same!"
Actually in an interview he talked specificaly about this interview with Larry King, and how he couldn't tell him he was gay because he hadn't come out/wasn't ready yet.
Larry King is older then dirt and was a teenager when fire was first started, LOL Larry lives in a different time and that is why he is coming off like dim wit. I guess he's trying to spice up the interview but doing damn fuck up job at. He could have not wanted to do this at all so you got to give him some credit for giving it a go. Be kind to the old fart people or you'll die with your tits crossed Smooches babies
Larry is old and stupid homiphobic prick... He shows his attitude towards gay people, QAsF and actors so evidently. I hate the way he talks to people and what's more he confuses everything^ facts, names...
What are you talking about? He is asking the bare bone questions that many straight people want to ask because they don't know gay people. He's not homophobic, I think he's very open.
but he keeps repeating the same questions, just using different words. he's trying to get a rise of the actors, and the characters they portray because their gay.

i admit it. larry was sort of a douche bag during this interview. i mean, why did he feel it necessary to ask randy if the writers were gay. really...
but in all honsety, he's asking questions that a lot of us want to know. it might not sound too politically correct, but hey! i DID wonder what it was like for them being straight to play gay characters. especially as the show is so sexually charged. stuff like that. and really, QAF explored the characters more in the later seasons not the 1st.
Watching Robert answer makes me laugh, seeing how he dodges the questions. =) The first break they take here, the hospital scene was great! Justin's so adorable and Brian is jsut in awe! 'I guess he must be mine then' Then they show, of course, Brian and Justin's very hot makeout scene (with other scenes mixed in)! It's shown like, every break! I love the scene to death and I think it's hotter than hell but it's like they can't end with a sweet scene! 4:00 sweet to sex again! Brian and Justin =)
the end of season 5 comes with a bonus disk with a cast reunion and michelle has long hair now and when I saw her on there I was also very surprised as well at how pretty she is, and she actually looks even better on the cast reunion then she does in this interview.
yes, in the segment before this, part 5, when larry says robert is straight, he says "the jury is out on that one actually" meanning, he wasnt sure. plus you cna tell that he never gives a direct yes or no answer to questions like, is it hard to portray a gay man. and yes he did offcially come out later on.
You've got to love how Larry keeps asking Robert Gant questions about being a straight actor when he's actually gay. I wish he'd actually correct the guy.
