Saw a performance by Enrico Rava in HK a few years ago. Wonderful player with a beautiful tone ... He played some things that were truly inspiring ... plays from the heart. I think he's no longer a young man, yet his playing was full of power / fire / and endurance. All that is apparent in this clip.

This recording has all the ingredients to capture those feelings.

Not true! Galliano has been playing bandoneon on several occasions, including the last time he appeared at North Sea jazz, in the Hague, Holland. It's just that he likes his button accordeon better.
