lol this video makes me feel terrible for those poor gun shop owners who have to deal with this type of thing. I wish I could see a customer interaction like this.
G22 running Buffalo Bore .40 +P, 10,000+ ball rounds through this unsupported chamber in live fire tactical scenarios. G21 running Speer Gold Dot 200gr .45+P, no issues either. G29 running Cor-Bon 10mm...no explosions. Glock problems generally are attributed to poor reloading skills and gun modification, inadvertently disabling internal safeties. The douchebag factor here is that the G21 has a compensator. I pity the fool that grabs my girlfriend's ass. 200 lumen bullet magnet. Bwahahaha
lawl, when i ask for a new gun i always say "im after a new gat"... i like glocks tho, i got a glock17a on laybuy ATM... iv got a Tauras 1911 in a 38super too...lol...
Glock 40s can blow up...and there are a lot of departments have turned in their glocks because of this, its not bullshit, its been published in several newspapers. I build guns for living. Glocks are good guns, but i buy SIG Sauers
@DaytonaRoadster thanks for your input..I'll bet every manufacturer makes guns that will blow up when you double charge, bad reloads, barrel blockage...etc.....we have seen it all. I think with 65% of the police market undisputed...there are more Glocks than all other namebrands added together in police holsters today right????? So funny how we here the most about the gun that is everywhere.. My comedy is about life in retail...dont take life too serious...I'll carry a Glock, you dont have to
A newspaper isn't a reliable source of any kind of technical information, especially concerning firearm incidents. Give a single reputable and recent source supporting the claim that Glocks are more predisposed to "blowing up" than any other .40 caliber handgun firing quality ammunition. I'd seriously like to see it.
@DaytonaRoadster again, operator error. If glock was at fault, the lawsuits would be piling in and recalls would have been issued. I have never had a problem with any of mine. Maybe you should actually shoot one instead of relying on other peoples ill informed broadcasts.
Is this kind of people really coming and asking that kind a questions? Im amazed like what the fuck haha... Last thing you want to mention is Call of Duty. And just if you dont know about the guns, listen to the store manager and let him clear things out, im sure he does know them well.
You know, some people just don't like Glock's grip angle. Believe it or not it isn't the only weapon in the universe.
Some people also like .45 ACP because tax stamps + big subsonic rounds = fun. Or because we came from another .45 like a 1911, and don't feel like getting a new chambering to have to reload for... no matter how many cops use .40 SW.
I suppose if you were more concerned with giving your customer what he wanted, instead of pushing what you prefer, he might learn for himself.
I got a Glock 17 just to experience shooting something different. I'm still trying to get used to it. The trigger pull is much harder to get used to than the Beretta, but I really love how it's light as a feather even with a full mag!
@luckydog9 Much thanks. I watched the entire demo. I hated taking holding pins out from an M16 but the guy showed that it was foolproof.
The trigger pull always gets me because I feel like I have to put some "elbow grease" into firing the gun. Like the guy said, it does affect my sight picture. It's not like the relatively smooth hair triggers on metal frames. I'll consider buying the connector in the future.
I run a gunshop...you have deffinately worked in one to!!! LOL...funny and true...that is one reason we don't sell hi-points! Idoot and gold-tooth gangsta magnets...and we don't sell garbage...just guns...I love it when they rattle off the wrong specs as listed in the video games...AK47...308 caliber!!
Ok, i live in a part of the world where handguns, especially glocks, are frowned upon. What are the three safeties on a glock hes referring to? I guess one is between your ears and behind your eyes, but what are the other two? Someone help a new guy out plz...
@QCprepper Trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety. The safeties are there to prevent the gun from firing until the trigger is pulled. Check the wikipedia article "glock pistol", "safety" section.
I love the last minute crack at Hi-Point...too funny! I have one and actually kinda like it. Goes BANG everytime, though not as sexy as a 1911 or the hammerless GLOCK.
@calltipv2 But what if you decided you didn't want .45cal after you miss? What if you wisely changed your mind after missing & decided you'd rather have had a more practical caliber with better control like 9mm with 125gr HP's?
I have fired 3 different Glocks and experienced FTF/FTE on all 3 with commercial ammo.....I wasn't "limp wristing it" btw, LOL. Those were all first gens and I haven't given 'em a chance since. This is just my own opinion. I still think that Glocks are great for others....just not me. I have always liked Sigs..... 1911s are really nice, but I would rather just carry my Sig. I carry on, and off duty and never had a failure. BTW I wouldn't last 2 seconds talking to those morons. Great vid!
ha i love my 1911 but this is a funny show, and the only reason i like my 1911 more than glocks and other guns like it, are because i shoot the 1911 better, something about the double stack on most modern pistols. But i do practice with an XdM along with my 1911, just the 1911's groups are always better.
HEY PEOPLE. REALISE that everybody has handled different guns- at different times- and different modles- for different amount of times- etc. Why doesn't everybody (including the creator of this video) shut up and realise nobody is trying to fucking lie to another person? Everybody HAS experienced a more positive outcome from X pistol over Y pistol.
So while a model may be superior to another- other have experienced varied results.
The only person that can say what handgun is perfect for you is your self. I shoot just about every style of hand gun before I got my first one, and even then it took me about a year to decide on witch kind of gun fits me best. My first was a XD9 and I wish I never sold it, but S&W M&P's are sweet. Sorry I don't like Glocks but thats a personal thing.
I will say my two carry guns are a Kimber Ultra Carry II and a Sig P238, both are well used and have operated flawlessly.
I love this video, because as a gun owner, I HATE these CoD fanboys who think they can fire a real gun. That being said, I love the M1911. I don't know why exactly. Just something about it, but I also own a Glock and can't say I don't like that one either.
The 1911 (especially the original 1911 and original 1911a1) are some of the best pistols that have been made. However, most of the copies have some sort of issues; and you may end up dropping $800+ on a good 1911.
A glock is around $400-500 and has cheap, easily replaceable parts, and has a huge variety of holsters and accesories available for it. It's lighter and it holds more; whether it's 45, 40, or 9mm.
Every gun lover probably has a 1911 but a glock is more suitable for carry nowadays.
God some people are retards lol. I've had the misfortune of having a glock 40 malfunction but it was only a trigger catch problem so it just lost a small piece of plastic and prevented the firing pin from being engaged. I've fired 9mm and 1911 model handguns before and honestly I don't like the 40 as much as the 45 however, the 9mm was the most accurate and comfortable to fire because of low recoil and cheap ammo.
I have heard the worst info and instruction at "Gun Shops" as well as the stupidity that comes out of the informed. There are the ignorant/uninformed and the stupid.
A good instructor can tell the difference and educate the ignorant, but stupid tends to be forever. Good luck guys, and if your ever in Northern KY, look us up.
of you who don't have the real experience to make the judgements, I have read here.
Do you need all the accreditation, no, the Military or LE experience?, no, having killed a man, no! However you do need an open mind, and at least thousands of rounds of different ammo, out or each weapon, in several different conditions to even begin to make performance judgments on either of the weapons argued here. This video is a parody of gun shop owners and customer interactions, not a Glock/1911 contest
well and will shoot any ammo you put in them. People will always tend to push what they like on to those around them, especially A type personalities, who gun are mostly. I sell the people what they need if I can, and what they want when I cant. I tell them all the pro's and con's, clear up any myths, and share my experience with a particular gun, if I have it, before they buy. I personally carry a G19 for my own reasons, but it's not because it's better than any 1911! I feel sorry for any
my head at them as they spew forth their tv trained ignorance at me. I was an Army armorer when the 1911 was used. They due indeed have the problems described above. Most were due to ammo or magazine failures, and of course if dropped, could possibly fire. However, I carried used them then, and I would now. I am now a Glock armorer, factory trained. They are definatley safeer than the 1911 in several ways, however, they are not super guns as touted to be in the video. They do function
This is definatley the age old argument, revolver or automatic, Glock or 1911, inside the pants holster and outside the pants Holster, better taste, less filling, etc.etc.... The dualism of man allows there to always be a for or against based on personal likes and dislikes. I am an Army Combat Veteran, gun store owner, CCDW permit instructor(OH/KY) and tactical pistol instructor. I deal with this battle everyday, and this cartoon is dead on! These type of idiots come in every day, and I shake
I have to admit, this is a funny ass video! LoL I can only imagine the frustration of having to talk to knuckle heads who stroke you by asking to finger fuck everything in the case and then render their expert advice to you as they are doing it, knowing all the while that they are most likely broke and live in their Moms basement. LoL
I agree, most people just imagine themselves saving the world with the perfect gun and heat seeking bullet combination instead of actually working everyday with a gun on their hip, they criticize anyone who doesn't share their particular fantasy. Most ppl with never be in a gunfight and if they are, many will simply piss themselves. Sorry to anyone with hurt feelings but it's the truth. Train hard and keep your opinion about other guys hardware to yourself.
Sounds like this guy has an unwarranted hate for the 1911. Holy shit, people prefer different things. If you like your Glock, I won't question your taste at all. I would expect the same in return for my taste in 1911's. There's no one correct or best firearm to use, it all depends on what works for you.
Too many ppl want to ask the age old question, "What's the best gun/bullet?" I hear it a lot. It's so arbitrary and anyone who asks this question shows ignorance. The gun, caliber, even the bullet it's self make little difference. The shooter is where the rubber meets the road. Fight, Flight or Freeze. What will you do? Not your gun. Until you know the answer to that question, the rest is all a waste of time. Put in your time at the range, not video game.
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. I carry a Springfield 1911 on duty, 8yrs Military, 12 yrs LE, LE firearems instructor and yes, I'm one of the few ppl who will post on here that have actually killed someone in a gunfight. I've seen Glocks fail and I've seen 1911's fail. I love my 1911 but If I had to arm 800 officers, I'd do it with $357 Glocks. They both work but you have to put in the time with what ever you carry. There is no "best gun" just warriors and arm chair warriors.
Man this is not my experience.I have heard some of the most idiot comments coming from behind the counter.I love glocks, but shoot 1911s as well.however as a glock owner i know that the days of Glock supremecy in the market are over. Now there are lots of Glock pattern pistols everywhere including leo belts. The last comment was from a Kimber master dealer telling me "Colt no longer makes pistols, only military carbines".I love my g17 for what its worth. But love the point and shoot feel of 1911.
You folks do realize that this is an old old joke, dating back to the early days of the .40 Glocks, and perpetuated by a small group of folks in the internet, right?

I don't really thing this guy is being cocky, it is a very real thing you deal with when you sell guns and deal with the general public.. Whether they are experienced shooters or just buying their first gun. I own both Glocks and 1911's and compare them as apples to oranges to new shooters. The only reason I will recommend Glocks is because they are maintained easily and they function very well.. Some customers are just hard to deal with. Anyone in customer service knows this.
Isn't it funny how real life examples are considered cocky? Enjoy your choice of firearms you bought online. Enjoy your comments and maybe someday you will have a gunstore too I can run down without ever visiting. We all enjoy having a variety and I enjoy dealing with locals face to face instead of the chat room ninjas. Have a great day!
Cocky gun store owners like this guy would be the reason why I prefer to buy online. Not only do I save money, I dont have to put up with their stupidity
I have a lot of people say that who have guns transfered into our store.. I just kind of laugh because they still have to come in and do the paper work.. So it sort of defeats the purpose..
@warplanecrazy I'm a 1911 guy but some of my close friends/co-workers are Glock guys. They run down 1911's but when it comes time to qualify, I smoke them in both speed and accuracy. Truth be told, I like Glocks too. Great bang for the buck and if I was arming a large agency, I'd be looking hard at the Glock. I just like my Springfield 1911 and seem to shoot it pretty good. Since I'm an LE firearms inst. I can carry what I want, just have to buy it and qual with it.
@roaddog1m I just find it amazing how nasty some of these people get over the discussion of a firearm. To personally attack someones character, integrity and intelligence over what amounts to nothing more than an expensive chunk of metal (relax, I'm refering to guns in general, not 1911's specifically) is ridiculous! We're all gun guys! We're not supposed to be arguing with each other! We're supposed to be united against the assualt on our constitutional right to be gun guys!
Respond to this video... Bullet placement is the key factor, nothing else matters but getting a hole in the Central Nervous System. It's the one true way to stop a subject instantly. I'd have no problem taking a 1911 and 230gr hardball in to a gunfight. Being able to respond to a threat without pissing your pants in a lot more important than having a custom 1911 or a Glock or what ever you were told by someone on the internet is best. Don't be a douche bag wanna be.
I don't believe, young man, that I said I was the ONLY one with experience in anything and I never said anywhere in either of my posts that I doubted YOUR experience of seeing...selling...touching 20,000 guns. What I DID say was in my 44+ years of being around 1911s, I NEVER EVER saw ANY of the malfunctions you listed and In ALL the countries I worked and trained in, NO ONE EVER chose a Glock over a 1911 or a High-Power. American police carry Glocks, for the most part, because they must do so.
@Crowbrother7 Actually, a friend of mine's father is New Jersey State Police officer, they just switched to the SIG P228....aka, the U.S. Army's M11...and several officers where I live carry their own sidearms. Those uninterested in guns don't complain about the Glocks, the shooters however do.
You know, now that I watch this video again, it seems to be a big advertisement for GLOCK. They must really pay people big money to support them, it's like touting your Corolla as the "best car ever".
@zchris87v I'm very interested in guns and I've never complained about the Glocks I own. Although I have complained from time to time about the 1911's I used to own...
Furthermore, I have NEVER experienced or seen, in 44 years of being around 1911s, any of the alleged failures mentioned by cvogunteacher. It is a poor workman who blames the tools. I have seen people who could not shoot the 1911 and said it was junk. You like the Glock...great, then carry it. You can't handle or understand how to operate the 1911...then leave it alone.
@Crowbrother7 If you serverd all those years for us hats off to you and thanks!!!! Furthermore I can never understand how people can think they are they only one with experience? Do you doubt my experience of seeing....selling ..touching 20000 plus firearms??? I deal with classes each week and see people on the range daily. Proven by my classes. My federally reported #'s of firearms recorded by ATF.... ED Brown? Good 1911 Choice of "professionals"??? Rock River 1911's???

Well, let me through my 2 cents into this. I'm 62 years old and have carried and used 1911s since I was 18, when I joined the Army. 17 years in Army Special Forces as a Weapons Specialist (18B) and have lived and worked in over 14 countries. Everywhere...EVERYWHERE I have been/worked the #1 choice of all professional operators has been the (1)1911, (2) Browning High-Powers, (3) CZ 75s.
Not a Glock to be found...nor wanted. It may be a 100 year old design, but it still works and works well.

@Crowbrother7 ....DO we use these in the military becasue?????they have an exposed hammer and meet our old standards??? Operators use FMJ too....is that the best? 62 grain FMJ...is that the best? It is merely what they get to use offered within the old standards.....I am a law enforcement sub distributor for Blue Label Glocks which get sold to LEO and Military only....and I sell hundreds to military personel...and I'm only one of hundreds of these dealers...I guess those warriors chose unwisely?
@cvogunteacher i agree it is the best 450 dollar gun on the market, and easier to use for a novice. every ones got theyre own opinion about pistols. I carry a m&p .40 because i can afford to beat that gun up and it shoots fairly well, if I had more money I would be more to carry a 2011 sti in 9mm, and a surefire light in my pocket but thats only if my power ball ticket hits.
I hate the guys who push Glocks. I would rather have an M1911. I like a thumb safety. Glocks are fine in my book but I would unstall one of those after market Glock thumb safety. A stock gun tough I would take a RIA M1911 over a Glock 17 any day. Also saving ammo? How do you think that when a standard M1911 mag holds seven rounds when a Glock holds 15+?
I feel sorry for the guys who came in intersted in an tried and true M1911 and had a Glock pushed on them.
@rebelraider5 Yeah, Glock fanboys get on my nerves a bit. Nothing wrong with liking a gun or owning it, but when I'm at the range and someone saying "Nice gun, but it's not a GLOCK". I'm not bashing them, they're good guns, but I personally dislike several things about them - the grip angle, the feel, the trigger, and the look.
And as for the person who was swindled into buying a Glock over a 1911...SMH. No respect for 100 years of proven technology.
why do you have to talk shit about the 1911's? mine is good, never has jammed on me. and i have a glock as my duty weapon but would rather have my 1911.
@OEFvet1986 I am glad your's works well. It only has to make you happy. Not me. I'm glad to hear your duty gun is a Glock. Mine too. Keep on crushing crime and thanks for your input.
We all have opinions...I understand.. I only have the experience of selling 20000 plus guns personally, being a cop, shooting schools, teaching permit classes for 6 counties and IDPA shooting watching 1911s choke, fail and be picky about ammo. It's scary some think a gun with no physical on/off switch is less safe than a 1911....which has "accidental" discharges.. I have seen a $2700 Ed Brown have the hammer follow the slide home discharging (mechanical failure) never seen a Glock safety fail.
Yes, well, I'm pretty content with my neat WWI 1911 that, after all the rounds it has fired, has never had an "accidental" discharge in me and my father's decades of owning it and even feeds all types of ammunition perfectly.
I think Glocks are fantastic guns, but people like you make me want to take a Glock and shove down Gaston's throat for making such an annoying breed of fanboys.
@Cozmolyne I feel the same way about smarmy 1911 owners. "Look at me. Look. Are you looking? ......I've got a 1911, just like the ones they use in the video games! *smug grin." I own a gun that protects my home, family, and friends. It doesn't matter which one it is so long as I can properly operate it and it reliably works to my specifications.
I'm not saying 1911's don't have annoying fanboys, but Glock fanboys are more annoying IMO. "Glocks are awesome, everyone should have a Glock; every other gun should be banned so the only gun people can get are Glocks! The 1911 have only fought in 5 major wars and numerous small conflicts, that proves it's outdated!"
I have no problem with you liking Glocks. Like I said, they're amazing pistols, I'm just tired of the fanboys.
These vids are great, but it's easy to recognize the overzealous Glock dealer. I love my Glocks, but would NEVER recommend one for an inexperienced shooter. Those 3 safeties do nothing more than prevent an accidental discharge when dropped. Besides the nickel plate reference (lol!), why the hate for the 1911? Along with training, I would always recommend a 1911 with external safeties over a Glock for a person with little experience. The customer portrayed could be another Plaxico Burress.
@jackblister Is a revolver a good gun for an inexperienced shooter? They go bang when you pull the trigger....they dont if you have your finger off the trigger. I am proud to sell hundreds of Glocks a year..yes. I also sell 1911's so guys who want a 100 year old design can have it. I have no hate for 1911's. they are an object....no emotion involved in my choice of a carry gun. just facts. Enjoy yours, have fun and shoot straight. CVOGUNS
I acknowledge your firearms experience and respect your opinion. Because human error is more likely to cause accidents than mechanical failure, I believe novices need a “buffer” to govern their trigger finger. Manual safeties serve this purpose. So do DA revolvers, because of their heavy trigger pull. Even a few LEA's require their officers to carry Glocks with triggers that are heavier than the public issue. This is extreme, but it's a legitimate concern and a novice is prone for mistakes.
@madcapHPS When I have to deal with all the 3" 1911's and Uber cool guns that choke all the time and dont work....I dont take" easy sales"...because we offer people their money back if their gun doesnt work. Not many stores do that. So I like to sell the guns that I never have to worry about working...........
These guys DO make me want to "Ventilate my cranium" .. This was PERFECT!
What a perfect description and dialog exchange of most of the kids i have seen and heard. This is absolutely perfect. My husband sent this, And i just love it! :)
I work at a rifle range and have been to sniper school, so people ask me all the time what they should purchase. No matter what you tell them they never listen and end up getting something they see on T.V. We joke about this all the time. This video captures the frustration perfectly. I wish I had a dollar for every high end rifle I've had to repair or clear because the user did not bother to read the manual. I'd be rich.
I recommend guns to a lot of people because of my profession and hobbies. Once I get all the bullshit out of their heads so they can see what the real world is like, then and only then do we go to the gun store. I like the Punisher, but we know things wouldn't be near that easy or cool unless you're in Hollywood.
hahaha, this is exactly how I feel when I talked to my call of duty buddies who's only gun knowledge and gun experience comes from those video games...this video is awesome!
lol this video makes me feel terrible for those poor gun shop owners who have to deal with this type of thing. I wish I could see a customer interaction like this.

Ok, i live in a part of the world where handguns, especially glocks, are frowned upon. What are the three safeties on a glock hes referring to? I guess one is between your ears and behind your eyes, but what are the other two? Someone help a new guy out plz...
QCprepper 5 months ago
@QCprepper Trigger safety, firing pin safety and drop safety. The safeties are there to prevent the gun from firing until the trigger is pulled. Check the wikipedia article "glock pistol", "safety" section.

So shut up everyone.
Great video by the way, hilarious!

Just something about it, but I also own a Glock and can't say I don't like that one either.
thenutintheushanka18 10 months ago
The 1911 (especially the original 1911 and original 1911a1) are some of the best pistols that have been made. However, most of the copies have some sort of issues; and you may end up dropping $800+ on a good 1911.
A glock is around $400-500 and has cheap, easily replaceable parts, and has a huge variety of holsters and accesories available for it. It's lighter and it holds more; whether it's 45, 40, or 9mm.
Every gun lover probably has a 1911 but a glock is more suitable for carry nowadays.

MrTrailltrader 10 months ago
God some people are retards lol. I've had the misfortune of having a glock 40 malfunction but it was only a trigger catch problem so it just lost a small piece of plastic and prevented the firing pin from being engaged. I've fired 9mm and 1911 model handguns before and honestly I don't like the 40 as much as the 45 however, the 9mm was the most accurate and comfortable to fire because of low recoil and cheap ammo.

of you who don't have the real experience to make the judgements, I have read here.
Do you need all the accreditation, no, the Military or LE experience?, no, having killed a man, no! However you do need an open mind, and at least thousands of rounds of different ammo, out or each weapon, in several different conditions to even begin to make performance judgments on either of the weapons argued here. This video is a parody of gun shop owners and customer interactions, not a Glock/1911 contest
gunslnga 11 months ago
well and will shoot any ammo you put in them. I feel sorry for any
gunslnga 11 months ago
my head at them as they spew forth their tv trained ignorance at me. They do function
gunslnga 11 months ago
This is definatley the age old argument, revolver or automatic, Glock or 1911, inside the pants holster and outside the pants Holster, better taste, less filling, etc.etc.... The dualism of man allows there to always be a for or against based on personal likes and dislikes. I am an Army Combat Veteran, gun store owner, CCDW permit instructor(OH/KY) and tactical pistol instructor. I deal with this battle everyday, and this cartoon is dead on! LoL
roaddog1m 11 months ago
I agree, most people just imagine themselves saving the world with the perfect gun and heat seeking bullet combination instead of actually working everyday with a gun on their hip, they criticize anyone who doesn't share their particular fantasy. Most ppl with never be in a gunfight and if they are, many will simply piss themselves. Sorry to anyone with hurt feelings but it's the truth. Train hard and keep your opinion about other guys hardware to yourself.
roaddog1m 11 months ago
Sounds like this guy has an unwarranted hate for the 1911. Holy shit, people prefer different things. If you like your Glock, I won't question your taste at all. I would expect the same in return for my taste in 1911's. There's no one correct or best firearm to use, it all depends on what works for you.
mandaloin 11 months ago 2
Too many ppl want to ask the age old question, "What's the best gun/bullet?" I hear it a lot. It's so arbitrary and anyone who asks this question shows ignorance. The gun, caliber, even the bullet it's self make little difference. The shooter is where the rubber meets the road. Fight, Flight or Freeze. What will you do? Not your gun. Until you know the answer to that question, the rest is all a waste of time. Put in your time at the range, not video game.
roaddog1m 11 months ago
The truth lies somewhere in the middle. I carry a Springfield 1911 on duty, 8yrs Military, 12 yrs LE, LE firearems instructor and yes, I'm one of the few ppl who will post on here that have actually killed someone in a gunfight. I've seen Glocks fail and I've seen 1911's fail. I love my 1911 but If I had to arm 800 officers, I'd do it with $357 Glocks. They both work but you have to put in the time with what ever you carry. There is no "best gun" just warriors and arm chair warriors.

Crowbrother7 1 year ago
@Crowbrother7 Actually, a friend of mine's father is New Jersey State Police officer, they just switched to the SIG P228....aka, the U.S. Army's M11...and several officers where I live carry their own sidearms. Those uninterested in guns don't complain about the Glocks, the shooters however do.
You know, now that I watch this video again, it seems to be a big advertisement for GLOCK. They must really pay people big money to support them, it's like touting your Corolla as the "best car ever".

It may be a 100 year old design, but it still works and works well.

cvogunteacher 1 year ago
@cvogunteacher i agree it is the best 450 dollar gun on the market, and easier to use for a novice. every ones got theyre own opinion about pistols. I carry a m&p .40 because i can afford to beat that gun up and it shoots fairly well, if I had more money I would be more to carry a 2011 sti in 9mm, and a surefire light in my pocket but thats only if my power ball ticket hits.
southern8127 10 months ago
I hate the guys who push Glocks. I would rather have an M1911. I like a thumb safety. Glocks are fine in my book but I would unstall one of those after market Glock thumb safety. A stock gun tough I would take a RIA M1911 over a Glock 17 any day. Also saving ammo? How do you think that when a standard M1911 mag holds seven rounds when a Glock holds 15+?
I feel sorry for the guys who came in intersted in an tried and true M1911 and had a Glock pushed on them.
rebelraider5 1 year ago
@rebelraider5 Yeah, Glock fanboys get on my nerves a bit. Nothing wrong with liking a gun or owning it, but when I'm at the range and someone saying "Nice gun, but it's not a GLOCK". I'm not bashing them, they're good guns, but I personally dislike several things about them - the grip angle, the feel, the trigger, and the look.
And as for the person who was swindled into buying a Glock over a 1911...SMH. No respect for 100 years of proven technology.

I have seen a $2700 Ed Brown have the hammer follow the slide home discharging (mechanical failure) never seen a Glock safety fail.
cvogunteacher 1 year ago
@cvogunteacher
Cozmolyne 3 months ago
@Cozmolyne I feel the same way about smarmy 1911 owners. "Look at me. Look. Are you looking? ......I've got a 1911, just like the ones they use in the video games! *smug grin." I own a gun that protects my home, family, and friends. It doesn't matter which one it is so long as I can properly operate it and it reliably works to my specifications.
luckydog9 3 months ago
@luckydog9
Cozmolyne 3 months ago
These vids are great, but it's easy to recognize the overzealous Glock dealer. I love my Glocks, but would NEVER recommend one for an inexperienced shooter. Those 3 safeties do nothing more than prevent an accidental discharge when dropped. Besides the nickel plate reference (lol!), why the hate for the 1911? Along with training, I would always recommend a 1911 with external safeties over a Glock for a person with little experience. The customer portrayed could be another Plaxico Burress.
jackblister 1 year ago
@jackblister Is a revolver a good gun for an inexperienced shooter? They go bang when you pull the trigger....they dont if you have your finger off the trigger. I am proud to sell hundreds of Glocks a year..yes. I also sell 1911's so guys who want a 100 year old design can have it. I have no hate for 1911's. they are an object....no emotion involved in my choice of a carry gun. just facts. Enjoy yours, have fun and shoot straight. CVOGUNS
cvogunteacher 1 year ago
I acknowledge your firearms experience and respect your opinion. Because human error is more likely to cause accidents than mechanical failure, I believe novices need a “buffer” to govern their trigger finger. Manual safeties serve this purpose. So do DA revolvers, because of their heavy trigger pull. Even a few LEA's require their officers to carry Glocks with triggers that are heavier than the public issue. This is extreme, but it's a legitimate concern and a novice is prone for mistakes.
