Right, I still have the record of this. I remember I had curved serpico on metal plates twice in junior high and both got first prizes. I worship the way he lived. He is still my hero. Frank Serpico. Thanks for this upload. I wish I can discuss the movie with you!
@dmkwils Turkey has not enough power to do this. You're pussies after all.You couldn't even fight back Israel. And don't forget about 15milion christians in turkey :)
Anyway , soon you'll get what you deserve. Not from us , because we don't want war.Just study a little bit geopolitics and you'll figure out how you'll get off the map.
I was just transferring my old, crackly cassette tape version of this, taken directly from the TV about 30 years ago to my PC. I needn't have bothered. Thanks very much for uploading. This is just so beautiful and poignant.
Simply beautiful, i saw this movie when it came out. It moved me then as it does now. Frank Serpico is a man with integrity. Al Pacino's best role in my opinion. Thank you for posting this soundtrack!
I've searched for this music ever since i saw the movie...BEAUTIFULL SONG AT THE END..hope we cover it with our band as soon as possible..now that we have found it again !! THANKS SO MUCH!
change from diatonic to chromatic scale thus permit to change the quality of hearing[i judge this change masterpiece] and i comment accordingly.........
thank you so much for this. Some of the most beautiful music ever and in tribute to a guy who refused to compromise his ideals, his honor and yes, his humanity.
Music by Bob James. Didn't he compose the "Taxi" TV show theme, too?

This is just so beautiful, so sad and yet so inspiring.
Why does music do this to us?
Its beyond me.

@lukesixtynineuk I totally agree! My mom used to say "real good music reaches beyond my soul"...
I saw Serpico for only a couple of weeks ago, it touches my heart, still after so many years, Happy new year!

translated original greek lyrics Old streets, which I loved and hated endlessly,
let me walk under the shadows of the houses,
the nights of coming back, unavoidable, and the city, dead. My insignificant presence, I discover [it] in every corner.
Let me meet you someday, lost spectre of my Desire, me too,
walking, forgotten and rebellious,
holding a trembling spark in my damp palms.
And I kept on walking in the night without recognizing anyone
And no one, either, recognizing me.
