Then remove or replace the original creeper_hiss.avi

Then just find an uploaded (easiest way is the piratebay) 1.7.3 minecraft version.

@ReflexSight Find Minecraft.exe - 1.7.3, go to your => run => %appdata% => .minecraft folder ! Replace your current minecraft.exe with 1.7.3exe, don`t delete your 1.8.1, just rename it, when you`ll finish to play maps just rename it back. :)

hey etho i dont know if you have already seen it but vechs actually released a video of him building a map in mc edit. its not an adventure map just a survival island thing but it is still a vechs map in video form + it shows some cool mc edit tools to use when making maps which might be helpful considering you are making an adventure map =)

Ok, So I am working on an adventure map. Do you think a map that is roughly 12 areas, each area consisting of 12 zones (each area is roughly 128 x 128). Do you think that is too big? My first zone consists of a small mountain range of about 4 mountains around a valley.

I figure it will take some time to finish, considering I spent roughly 24hrs on it this weekend and I am not even close to completing the first level... Takes a long time to build structures even using Mcedit for mass cleanouts and fills.

@EthosLab Somehow, these videos are more entertaining when they are "live" i.e. recorded the same day.

Now that I know you still have lots of the map left to play, I will strongly recommend that you switch to 1.8. The new improved combat works really well on these maps. It sucks having to fill half your inventory with bread and stuff your face constantly. Vechs seems to feel the same way. There are parts of the map that were designed in anticipation of bug fixes that came in 1.8.

Very elegant solution for the castle. I also played the map recently but on 1.8.1 and so even with all the lava and glowstone with the new lighting you only see a few blocks far as it is all the way down at "bedrock level". I died many times trying to figure out where to go and how to get there ... Oh and by the way the sand at the entrance is really a trap, just not the first row, where you placed the tourch :)
