Great video mate. I think canon 60d is one of the best cameras to use nowadays, by the way, can you tell me the name of the song that you used in your video? Thanks.
i saw you have a 18-135 lens. can you please make a video of the canon 60d using this lens zooming from 18 all the way to 135. i have the camera but was looking for this lens
Well this has swung me. I was just going to go for the D5100 but I've always preferred Canon. I like your video mate. I'll spend the extra few hundred on the 60D because of it :D
I played with the contrast a bit and tried to adjust the exposure some to make it look better, this was my first day with the camera so I was fairly new to it as well. I am still using it and it is still a great camera!
@StiansNorskeNyheter Unless your an amateur, no one uses automatic focus for video. Not even bargain basement DV production uses auto. You might as well get a point and shoot if you're going to leave it in auto.
@emirsia I got it the day it came out from best buy, I bought some extra cards and a bag as well so it came out to around $1400 with all of that, I forget how much it was for camera and kit lens.
@kmoo2 Not sure what he means by computer either. But the 18-135 kit lens that came with it does have manual and AF options. I have not used AF for video mode though just photos.
@xseeit If you are looking for great quality, this is the one! I like this camera for videos because of the rotating screen. Though shooting video with this is different than your every day hand held camera, if you want nice still shots I recommend shooting on a tripod or any other equipment you can find, steadicam etc. If you have basic camera knowledge, because for video it is all maunaul, and take time to get used to it, you will love it!
@xseeit I am not positive, but I think it is 12 minutes for constant recording? But I am not sure how long it takes to cool down before you can start recording again.
@JRayFilms u can start as soon as it stops. not overheating when it cuts off. just a limitation imposed on the camera by the designers as to distinguish it from a true camcorder.
@saamisbbeast I have not seen anything like face detection on the camera, the kit lens has auto focus, but I dont think it works when recording video.
@ChipValleyNewspapers The Aliasing and Moire kind of bother me. Still great quality though. Missing alot of features that your standard video camera would have, as well as no XLR Inputs.
@thirsokewl Deffinently worth the money. I got it last night from Best Buy for $1400 with the lens. I was shooting video on a Sony FX1 for this year then bought this, it is a major quality upgrade and I recommend it for you if it will be your first DSLR as well.

I'm new at dslr's so pardon my stupid question :) This is the raw footage?
It looks beautiful. I'm on the fence between the t3i and 60d. I've been checking out film tests here and there on youtube for a few months.

@keicydillah It depends, you can buy the 60D body only, or there are a few kits offered with a lens.
