  • To everyone who believes that if something doesn't last forever, it's worthless...

I will gladly take your worthless bank accounts and life savings.

  • hehe, I love your final decision - "I'm not buying into it, IM NOT GOING TO DRINK THE KOOL-AID!!!"

  • This is a fabulous video and so well delivered. BRAVO! I'm glad to have found your channel and to have subscribed.

  • Great video and great accent ( I know you get that a lot )

  • I don't normally like religious debates, but I could listen to you talk for hours. Your voice is so relaxing~

  • Despite the high cost of living, it still remains very popular.

  • if you live only for the hope that there is a afterlife why dont you just hurry up and die to find out?

  • hello...

  • Just wanted to say *Love* your accent it sounds really cool :D

  • you have a nice belly, and a nice voice.

  • Brilliant piano analogy! I wish I had heard that one (and all the others) before I was 17 and forced to live abroad among brainwashing evangelist fanatics. Might've saved me a lot of therapy bills and heartache. Don't ever think you are invulnerable to their wicked ideas, even as an intelligent educated adult. It's their speciality. Some are really good at it. They lure you in slowly. It's especially easy for them when you are already in an emotionally vulnerable situation. Sorry for randomness.

  • I thought that you'd put these two probably common comments, "You're hot", and "Are you really blind?". ...I think I'll comment that now. You have a great body, but you're also the kind of woman that people can stay married to because you're brilliant :) Stupid people make terrible spouses.

  • An atheist movement is needed in every way! When the face of ill logic and idiocracy take away scientific research, such as cloning and stem cell research, logic and reasoning need to stand up and put madness back into its chair. Religion can go to its own hell, I'm going to study.

  • @RickyKristal

i dont think you understand... the general population is stupid. even if there would be an atheist movement it would be so embarrassing and damaging to atheists who are actually free thinkers.

  • What an excellent video. Great logic.

  • Atheistblindchick, once again you are awesome! My comment here applies to both this segment and your "3 Answers from an "Evolutionist" response. Your postings are clear, precise and utterly indisputable. Additionally, I am moved by the beauty and grace of your presentations. Thank you!

  • Just scrolled through my subscription list... and I can't believe I used to watch this.. I mean, I'm an atheist, ok, but I don't see the need to whore this around really... An atheist movement isn't really necessary in any way..

  • First you see the channel's subject, then you subscribe, then you watch any video at random, then you send friend request, then you clear your schedule!

  • I would more liken the piano analogy to somebody warning you that 2000 years ago it was predicted that a piano might fall on you if you are bad. When infact, logic tells you that the probability of it actualy happening is very low. Provided you are careful when browsing in music shops.

  • stop pushing, there is no goddamn piano. :)

  • Wow, was passed to your channel via TheraminTrees. I knew I would like your videos, but I didn't realize how cute you are. I didn't even see your face through this video and you look super hot. I just wanted you to know that. Keep up the good work on the videos and that rockin body.

  • It is some value, obviously, but a shorter period of time has LESS value:

Which cost more: Shorter hospital stay or longer?

10 hours of labour or 400?

    Etc. and etc.

I'd prefer my loved ones could live, happily, forever.

    It isn't true, however.

A better reply to the first Christian would have been...

"Yeah. Bites, but there you go."

  • ABC, do you ever tire of just debating religion all the time? I know you have "atheist" in the name, but even amazing got off the whole religion thing, he still visits it from time to time but... why not try your hand at politics? or philosophy? or science? or another area of your expertise? (like anime?) a single-cause tuber is only so entertaining, and is rather a waste of a channel, if i ever start making vids i know id mix it up a bit. not a demand just a suggestion. - your fan, Paradoxical.

  • Get a shake on there woman!

We require more videos from you... Heh heh.

  • Hell is in Michigan and Satan gave up deviltry to play pro hockey in Pittsburgh, PA. Everybody knows northern Michigan is NO raving hell in the middle of winter, so why not just give up the silly delusions and lay off ABC here...you go girl!! [Tee hee!]

  • i love your accent, so cute hahaha

  • this vid was recommended to me, your logic is sound. use your hands more to make a point and youll be fine. if you dont feel like responding to a comment, remove it. one cannot have youtube and eat it. then again, i respond too.

    liked your message

  • April 26, 2010, Boobquake (Facebook)

  • How bout a looksy at yer face. I love listening to you talk.

  • @smyf7 cannot do, something about her being endangered is she does so, id rather her be safe, personally.

  • Hey you're back. Glad to hear your voice again.

  • I see how these might be frequent comments, but these aren't strong points to start with. Not saying you aren't making a good argument, just that you often do better. --- Peace

  • lol one more cup of cool ad ...... thanks love this video.

  • About believing in the police... if you believed in the police the way I believe in the police you could commit crimes and just tell them you're really really sorry and walk away.

  • i like your analysis.

  • The guilt part of Christianity is a bitch, isn't it? I would get tired of trying to set folks right, but you seem to enjoy it...

  • If you could press a button to make everyone suddenly realize that your perspective is the correct one (understanding why as well or better than you do) would you press it?

I don't think you would. I don't think many atheists would. But I believe every honest theist would admit that they wouldn't really have a choice.

  • I love this video... you made my day. Thank you *smiley face*

  • You're told you're bad, then you're told that bad people go to hell, THEN you're told some guy died so we don't have to go to hell, and if we just believe in him we'll avoid this fate. It's the worst scam I've ever heard of. It's not even a bait and switch; there's no bait to be switched out. It's just a bundle of absurd assertions based on the superstitions of a bunch of desert roaming goat herders, followed by a wonky pitch. It would be funny if so many people weren't hooked by this scam.

  • How can anyone down rate this video!?

  • Comment removed

  • 1 of 2:

Great analogies - the refusal of the last piece of cake, "denying" the existence of the police in order to rob banks, etc.

Speaking of comments, I got a channel comment a few days ago from a Christian YouTuber who has brilliantly figured out the only possible reason I could have for being skeptical of Christianity's claims ...

  • 2 of 2:

    From the Christian YouTuber FredsTime:

"The reason you dislike Christianity has to do with your sexual orientation. You do not have to go through this act of trying to act intelligent, so as to try to make others believe that is through your brillance [sic] that you have come to your conclusion. Just say you are gay, and God does not endorse your lifestyle. Just try to be what most atheists are not, which is the following: Honest."

  • Great video, smart and eloquent.

  • oh, great video, definitely a favorite. Too bad it has mixed subjects because the arguments are really good to point out in some isolated situations, but that doesn't take away the greatness of the entire video as a whole. very good

  • @Atheistblindchick: Thank you for your videos! On this one, I really like the analogy with the piano! So true!

    Cheers!

  • You have a very sexy tummy.

  • @madeye0 and a sexy accent

  • Busted! You put your hands behind your back to read the braille notes on them. You're the blind Sarah Palin.

  • @EvolutionMachine I too have religious friends. They aren't at all narrow-minded as some of those here on YT...

  • You are so witty and precise with your words.

  • I absolutely adore your videos.

  • GREAT video! Theists just can't answer one question that I have. If there is a "god", why would he/she/it "create" innocent babies, and then allow them to die, or suffer pain before they ever had a chance to live? And if there is a god, why do so many things on earth appear to be completely random? BTW, what is the TTS voice you use in the video to read the questions?

  • And, I agree none of those things you listed should be considered sins if they are meaningful to a person's life.

Honestly, it's the one thing that I don't like about the christian religion is the whole sin part. I think that as long as people have self respect in life, and are kind to others, the belief of sin shouldn't even enter the picture.

  • @HaleyMary Sin is the cornerstone of Christianity. Jesus died for it. You have to keep in mind that in order for his sacrifice to make sense, your sins, no matter how insignificant in your eyes, are deserving of the death penalty. You are so evil that you deserve the death penalty and the only reason you don't have to die is because someone else did in your stead...

  • @Atheistblindchick Answer me this. If god decided to intervene, after leaving the human race alone to fear earthquakes, die horrible deaths usually from their teeth, rape and kill eachother for atleast 90,000 years. And his idea of intervention was sending his son in form of a man to be tortured and killed for our sins. Who was he trying to impress? He is the almighty judge and ruler. If he wanted to forgive us he could have just forgiven us.

  • @Atheistblindchick Also, why did he chose to send his son to the most savage and remote part of the Mediterranean? Why not china where they could read. It doesn't take long to realise that something doesn't add up...

  • on the first question, it makes me wonder if the person who asked it has any meaning in their own life. I mean, since no-one can really know when they are going to die, regardless of their faith or non faith, they should live life to the fullest and appreciate as much time with family and friends as they possibly can.

  • @HaleyMary That comment just made me sad before it made me upset.... It's really sad that there are people out there wasting their lives, the one that they know for sure they have, for something that probably isn't there. Sad...

  • I love your videos. I like that you don't show us your face. I just wish people would stop whining about it. We get more than you do. It just goes to show how difficult it is to not be able to see. You have all of my respect, oh what you lost in sight you make up for in logic and speaking. You Rock!

  • Some of these questions leave me wondering if the people who ask them have really thought deeply about this stuff. Curious thing... Cheers.

  • @NLPNVC I don't think they have. They seem to be regurgitating stuff they heard their whole life and have unthinkingly accepted as truth.

  • We wanna see your face, ABC. Show us!

  • I'm curious as well ,but I'm more concerned about her safety that comes with keeping her identity hidden than the temporary satisfaction of seeing her face for the ten minute video. However, ABC, you should probably tip the camera up slightly so that the whole peace sign is visible at the end of the video.

  • @jadekite22 Ah, thanks. Wasn't aware that it was out of frame.

  • She wouldn't be any more in danger than all the other Youtube vloggers who show their faces.

  • Perfectly said/done Atheistblindchick... ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • You are a champion. You shine forth.

  • 5:07 Its more like saying that everyone lives their entire lives under a piano that will eventually crush their soul if they don't get out of the way. Anyone who honestly believed that should be willing to kill you if they believed it would save your soul. It's clearly a very dangerous idea because it suggests that physical force is warranted to address a metaphysical threat.

6:39 Another dangerous idea because it suggests we should seek to avoid taking responsibility for our actions.

  • 0:28 is a pernicious meme--the afterlife concept. The question wouldn't exist in people's minds if their mythology didn't put it there.

  • Great work, as always.

Y'know, for a blind girl, your videos sure look pretty good. Better than mine, in fact. (I would ask you watch them, but they're text only...!)

  • and it's not even good kool aid, there's no sugar in it.

  • I didn't realize that The Hegelian principle had a name I discuss it in my video on brainwashing which is principally used there. If you want to understand how this type of brainwashing can occur check out my series "Why do intelligent people still believe in religion?" It analyzes the naturally evolved psychological mechanisms that religion exploits to propagate and spread like a virus.

  • @anubis2814 I'll check it out.

  • Brilliant woman!

These religious types have no logical rationality for anything.

  • Also, these people who think life isn't worth living if tyhere's no afterlife. they RE#ALLY need a hobby.

  • @dechha1981 And what makes them think the afterlife is any better? I'd think it extremely boring, after a billion years of playing monopoly in heaven, we'd find that we've only just begun...

  • @Atheistblindchick true eternity would be boring it functionally makes heaven and hell identical as one could get bored with anything given enough time.

  • There are people who claim that Kent Hovind should be sent free because they believe that paying taxes is optional.

The very fact that he's IN jail for Tax Evasion in the first place, and the very fact that they even NEED to set up a petition to get him out of jail for not doing something that is supposedly optional, would seem to contradict this idea.

Especially since Tax Evasion was the ONLY thing Al Capone went to jail for.

  • Fred Phelps tried to warn you!! L Ron Hubbard tried to warn you!!!! Lol my goodness.

  • There are a lot of things I don't understand about these comments you addressed. If we're to live forever in another realm after this, we might as well just be born in that other realm rather than on Earth. So why aren't we? Also, is it really that unthinkable that some people just can't believe in any god? I mean, I was raised religiously, but I could never bring myself to believe anything I was taught.

  • @DeathsPictures Some people are born with less of an ability to accept certain things than others. And I've wondered about it too, why would we need to spend time here when we're going to be in heaven or hell forever. It's not because god wants to separate the chaff from the wheat, since he supposedly already knows if we're good or bad...

  • Yeah, that's something I addressed in one of my own videos. Allegedly, this god is alknowing, therefor he already knows why you commited the "crimes" you commited, in which case why should we have to explain ourselves to him, when he obviously already made up his mind?

  • You have a beautiful voice and I completely agree with your points. Knowing I won't get to be with those I love forever makes my time with them now worth a whole lot!

  • Christians always imply that atheists are sinners. As in her comments here... that if atheists acknowledged god, then they couldn't sin as much as they want.

But the fact are this: the vast majority of rapes, murders and other violent crimes are performed by Christians. The vast majority of the prison population consists of Christians as well. Atheists make up the smallenst amount in these categories. And this holds true when looking at the numbers proportionally as well.

  • Could anyone please tell me what type of accent she has? I am very curious since I've heard similar accents in games. Like, what general region/country did the accent originate from?

  • Sounds like a Scottish accent to me.

  • @nikolka1992 Foreign parts...

  • Excellent points, 5 stars. I've missed your videos, and forgotten how nice your accent is!

  • Nice philhellenes reference. Nice video.

  • @Yesitis808 Philhellenes reference? Wasn't aware that I made one.

  • Brilliant veedjo dearie. For me true bliss is six choobs of spesh and a shelter belter in Renfrew, no the promise of an eternity with my family.

  • ... You have a very expressive torso.

  • "Hello, YouTube. Do you ever get comments that make you go, 'Excuse me? Could you repeat that, because I'm sure I misunderstood?'"

Yes. A few times so far. xD

I don't buy into any of this, either. I find it increasingly silly as I continue to use my brain. Thanks for the video.

  • Delicious cake. I'll kill its head.

  • If you, the Proverbial Christian (pun very much intended), pushes me out of the way of an imaginary falling piano and causes me to fall and break my arm, you are not saving me from anything. But I will be suing you fro very real damages.

  • IDK about that one. They THINK they are helping, so I would let that slide. I don't mind people who warn about hell, etc. What bothers me is the fact that not only can they not PROVE it, but they act as though it is one of those universal truths we hold self-evident.

  • *****

  • It's more like someone thinks he knows that an invisible rope which holds an invisible piano tore and that now he needs to save you from it.

  • Awesome video. Now that's logic! ;)

  • What should I think about a person who shoves me out of the way of an invisible piano that they read about in a 2000 year-old book?

  • I'd think they're insane, then punch them in the face for ruining my new jacket.

  • I'm not drinking the kool aid'

    Nice closing comment there.

  • Comment removed

  • But you have to drink the Kool-Aid otherwise theistic arguments won't make any coherent sense! You want the theists to make sense don't you? I see no other means to make sense of their arguments.

  • Hottest atheist blind chick ever!

  • @RadicalAwesomeness

I don't get your comment? What gives you the impression she's hot?

  • @Dhorpatan

    Her sexy accent, that's what.

  • This is an excellent one, and it puts the issue straight onto believer's doorsteps.

Unfortunately, those questions raised by believers I think exposes who they really are. Personally, when a believer tells me, by implication, that if they didn't have god watching over them they would be out raping and murdering...it scares the crap out of me.

  • @GetMeThere1 I agree completely. But I don't think they really mean it. It's something they have been told since they were very young, so it's a "fact" to them. However, it sometimes scares me too when they profess to be complete immoral bastards who only behave because of their sky-daddy. I hope they never lose their faith.

  • Great video. And I don't need to see your face. People listen to the radio without seeing any faces and take the radio seriously. People asking to see your face are making a dishonest argument if they say otherwise.

  • Spot on...

  • I would even say that "their God" can be plainly denied. There is simply not enough "love" in this world.

And rewarding love with cancer, well, if I were "God", I wouldn't do that, which makes me more compassionate, merciful and beneficent than "God". :-)

  • I get the "you chose to be gay, so u deserve not to have rights", yeah last time I checked when I was five years old and had crushes on the neighbor boys older sister I had chosen to be a homosexual (even though I did not know what a homosexual was). Do these people even listen to what they are say?

  • @RavenBlaze I don't think they understand what they are saying very well. Lucky for them, they have an imaginary friend to stand by them and support their ignorant bigotry.

  • another stunning vid, abc

  • @eddygoombah Thanks! Hope you're well, you seem to be very busy with your cheffing

  • PEACE!!

  • Simple spoken truths.

    Well done.

  • I adore your accent. You have such a beautiful voice.

But I wish you'd sit down. I bet you're very cute, and I have a difficult time taking a talking belly button very seriously.

As far as the religious idiots go, don't take a word from them seriously. The only reason they believe anything they do is because they want eternal life and self-righteousness. To hell with them.

But damn, you have such a cute accent.

  • If that's all you care about (her accent and what here looks may be), you are quite shallow. Many religious people are better than that.

  • @AdamEtheredge She keeps her face off-camera because she's blind. If she was recognizable and some nut-case happened to see her on the street and decide to attack her, she wouldn't be able to defend herself very well...

Unless she becomes one of those blind butt-kicking buddhist monks, that is.

  • xVancha: Or Toph from Airbender.

  • @xVancha Ah. Ya got me there. Didn't think about it that way. I guess this is yet another case of the blindness of the Sighted. Sorry about that one, AtheistBlindChick.

  • @xVancha I am a blind butt-kicking buddhist monk actually. I thought my secret was safe... Alas...

You're right, I don't much like people to recognize me and approaching me without me knowing their intentions. Best to be safe and not show my face.

  • The "what's the point of living" type comment is just the Christian being an a-hole. Unless they're going to provide some evidence for their beliefs, all they seem to be doing is encouraging suicide. They're no better than the guys yelling JUMP at a guy on a ledge.

  • Spot on as usual, ABC.

  • I'm having a PM discussion with a most ignorant theist I have ever encountered.

  • @Saukko31 Frustrating, isn't it? Sometimes, it's just best to step away from the keyboard and let it be. Difficult, but definitely better.

  • @Atheistblindchick Yeah, when he claimed that God makes snow flakes, I decided it was better to back off.

  • The sexy tummy returns to us.

    :)

  • I don't get a lot of nutbars on my channel, oddly.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

  • Hey, that's such total crap! I did everything in my power to be a nutbar at you. Sigh. You're just too nice, Keight, just far too nice...

  • Spoken like someone who has never seen me pissed off. :D

  • @BionicDance LOL! Actually, I saw you get pissed at one of the more obtuse commenters on one of your vids who just kept posting and you and didn't really seem to get anything you were saying. It went on for pages, and you got more and more and unwound until you finally told him that it was like talking to a brick wall and to just go away. Again, FAR too nice. I would dropped the A-bomb on his ass from the get-go. Then again, I'm great at apologizing and hatchet-burying.

  • That was me frustrated...not pissed off. That might seem like nit-picking, but in me the nuance is actually quite significant. You don't wanna see me when I actually full-on lose my cool and lose it on someone.

    Trust me.

  • @BionicDance No, no. I really can imagine you going full-tilt Kamikaze on some jackhole. It's the problem I have: I figure myself to be a pretty nice guy, so when someone starts with me I just get completely livid that someone could be a complete cuntbag to such a nice guy. You know, the "principle thing." So I lose it on that basis. I bet it's something like that for you, too. Like a rat in a corner. And what makes it worse is that are so nice and give so much ground. Then you completely flip.

  • Well, for me I tend to do the slow boil preceding a sudden loud ka-bang. I keep trying and trying and trying to get it all worked out in some amicable way, but the more it fails, the more the pressure builds...until finally sh-BOOM! I go all, "GRAAAGH! DIE! DIE DIE DIE, YOU PIG FUCKER! GRAAAAGH!"

When people are just simply completely stubborn AND patently wrong as hell...it's just...guh! Difficult to take.

  • @BionicDance Yeah, yeah, right, that's exactly what I mean. You really nice. I used to do the same thing, until one day I realized how much time in my life had been wasted on beanheads. I think this was about the time I embraced my Aries nature. At any rate, now when someone makes that thing in my head go "SNAP!" I just fullbore lose it on them, say something incredibly insulting that they probably won't get, and storm out. I feel bad later, but I addressed that. Either way, I save time.

  • @BionicDance I don't know either. You should have tons of nutjobs seeing your videos... Shall I send some of mine your way? ;)

  • Aww, I suppose I could do without 'em. Better to help my fellow atheists fight off their own, neh? :)

  • @BionicDance LOL I was willing to trade you a muslim bigot for a christian one... Oh well...

  • so well said :)

  • I admire your ability to provide simple, yet perfectly suitable, analogies. Thank you.

  • Nice shirt.

  • Goddammit that first one was seriously emo! Sounds like their Christianity is just a salve for their Nihilism.

  • I know!

Thats a great way of putting it. High five.

  • Very intelligent girl with a damn cute accent <3 =)

    Greets from Germany

  • Great job. I enjoyed the piano analogy.

Christians like to pretend it all makes sense, but its terribly circular.

God sacrifices himself, to himself, to exploit a loophole in a rule he created, and not send quite so many people (but still a lot) to the place of eternal torture he created.

Anyway, great to see you back.

  • @DarkDDexter Exactly. I never got how people portray their god as loving when he's the one who demanded a blood sacrifice to save people from a place he created and he can choose not to send people to...

  • @Atheistblindchick Indeed. Another thing that bugs me is that even the loophole is unjust. Even the result of all his circular BS is that anyone can get away with anything they want to, without any punishment, infinite or not, if they want to. There is no sense of cosmic justice in it at all, because no matter how bad you are, you can hit your knees before you die and get eternal reward.

  • well done well said 5 stars

  • Great video as always! I kind of always wanted to know what your face looks like though : (

It's hard to place an accent when you can't see a face lol. You do have an accent that reminds me of a character in the recent Mass Effect 2 game though.

  • she's scottish

  • a gem of a video, faved!

  • lol people are stupid just ignore them, you'll drive yourself crazy trying to reason with them.

  • All the more reason for living this one life we have to the fullest:)

  • excellent job, I really enjoy your videos :)

  • I have a human need for you ABC!

  • Yes - they sell religion like any product. Your armpits stink!! You need "Stink-Be-Gone" (tm) Pay up.

  • @claudiaquat Damn, I had hoped you would not notice ;)

  • great video! you are pure awesomeness <3

you have such a great way of saying things! i love smart chicks :)

  • Love your message and accent. :)

  • what a treat to see an ABC video! Great as always!

  • @TheAist hey Coz, hope all's well. :)

  • I don't get comments... But it's great to see you back ABC!

  • Hmm... cake :D

  • HEY :D

    NEW VIDEO :D
