Yes, sure. Include mention of the Latinos. But perhaps not possible to do justice to all who were in the war. Example, of all the American ethnic groups, As a percentage of their numbers, the Italian-Americans were most prominent in the US Armed Forces. But this is not mentioned. Ken Burns focused on four TOWNS, NOT ethnic groups, during the war. He asked if any veterans wanted to volunteer to tell their stories, NO LATINO VETERANS STEPPED FORWARD. After he had made the documentary, all of these arrogant and conceited "La Raza"-type organizations stamped the words "racist gringo" on his forehead. What a bunch of self-righteous malcontents.

Good points. 28 minutes were added to the film to accommodate the angry Hispanics. I wonder what this woman and others now think, knowing that Burns deviated from his film to accomodate them? Some groups will stay angry just for kicks.

It'd be great if Burns had taken more of a factual preparation, but he's always made himself to be more of an artist than a researcher and while a civil one, will still make these omissions without realizing it.

500,000 Latinos out of 16 million Americans whom served in World War II is a serious contribution. While the charge of trifling multiculturalism or political correctness may be levied, history is unsympathetic.

Take the 442nd all-Japanese regiment that took the highest casualties and the most decorations in World War II - over 5,000 Bronze Stars. There are films about them, however.

Good points on both sides.

On one hand, artists work is not a democracy.

On the other hand, minorities HAVE been excluded.

And here's the other, you've got some kind of nerve being a minority and only trying to promote yourself without even a mention of the many OTHER minorities that have been excluded.
