  • we ddent have em over here in reland but in northern ireland(uk controlled)  i would pop in when i was up there to get the huge bars of cadburys choc they sold!!!!

  • I must admit, I only went into Woolies for mainly confectionary

  • oh, but we only sold groceries, cereal, meat etc, it was a food store, nd it had shampoo etc, mini toys.

  • in australia, we have woolworths as well, but in victoria, (where i am), we have safeway.

  • Our British Woolworths didn't sell much food, except chocolate etc

  • I remember Woolworth's stores, I even (at the Henry Ford Mueseam) got weighed and my fortune told on one of those scales in the 70's as a teen it was operational coin operated/worked/and allowed the public to use it, I wonder if they still do?

  • I always thought that Woolworths was 100% British before I did a little bit of research.

  • Woolworth's also owned the Ben Franklin 5 and 10cent stores here in the states.
