If you had a choice between an 05 Brute Force 750i and a 06 Arctic Cat 650 H1 SE, both having 800 miles, which one would you get? This is the dilema I am currently faced with.
@jnstrcklnd THat's a tough choice - you sure you don't want to keep looking? The pre-05 BFs are the worse of the Brute Force line and the AC650 is an alright ATV, kinda heavy, kinda tall and tippy. Not great but the better of these two
@ATVTVCOM What do you mean pre-05? I thought 05 was the first year for the BF? Im looking to trade my snowmobiles for a 650+ cc atv, and this guy responded to my ad and I can pick one of the two. And I want to make the best choice. I want something that wont leave me stranded and wont cost a fortune to upkeep. I just want it f or around the yard, plow my driveway and some light trail riding.
@jnstrcklnd Sorry, I meant pre-08s for the Brute Force....Which machine is cleaner. If you plan to change the tires on the BF to a good set of radials it would probably be the better choice for reliability. Which dealer is closest to you?
@ATVTVCOM The BF is def. cleaner. The Cat has some stitched plastic. There is a Kawa dealer and Cat dealer about 45 mins from me. What kind of problems can I expect to see down the road? And which are more costly to repair? Im really leaning towards the BF but I just dont know enough about either one to make a smart choice. Ive seen the teat videos for each one but they were new at the time. I wish they had test videos for used machines with some miles and history behind them.
If you like to ride fast, I would go with the prairie, just like the clip above says, the Brute feels like it gonna tip at high speeds. I've owned the brute 750, 650 and a prairie and I prefer the prairie - And it's the least expensive!
I have an 08 brute force 650 and i was climbing a hill and it overheated because the fan would not come on but now it is fine. Great atv overall i wouldnt want anything else.
I am looking for reliability, power and fun to drive
I like the sound of the brute force for sure!
But no one has one around my area either (which is a good thing as I like to have something different) but I also dont get to see first hand how they perfrom.
I hd a Kodiak 450 2003 since new and have not replaced a single thing on it and it has never let me down, but I was looking for a reliable change, and most seem to thing the Brute Force 750 is a good choice...
@989kriss Perhaps, but 'ultimate power' is not what we worry about so much once you get as much power as these things put out. Just about anything over 650cc is fast enough for us.
@ATVTVCOM hm yeah. But i think the outlander 800 have most power. and i need a machine whit power, and a good quad to drive........ so is the outlander hte best then ?
@989kriss We DON'T like Park positions in the tranny and no Parking Brake! But, the notchiness of the shift linkage we talk about can be adjusted out.
@ATVTVCOM But i really need a machine whit power. and i have thinked abat the outlander 800, but i want a quad whit good power and smooth. but i don't know which one... so you have taked the KQ 750 EPS, rigth ??
@989kriss Look, I don't want this to come across wrong, but YOU need to do some investigating on your own. First, look at all our reviews of the ATVs you are interested in. We have them all here on You Tube and on our website. Also you might look at what some of the magazine tests say. Make a list of what are the most important items you desire. Each ATV has strong points and weak points. Find which ATV fits YOUR needs best. The perfect ATV for me might not be the perfect ATV for you.
@ATVTVCOM But all the quads have a problem. BUT the quad hwo have allmost no problem is the BF 750,i think...... But i don't really like the dif loock on it. The dif lock the the BF shud have a button, like the grizzly.
@989kriss The advantages of the lever-locker is that you can just quickly pull it in to engage it even on the fly and then just as quickly release if when not needed. Or give it just a momentary lock for climbing over or through the difficult spot. We've found that although we like to run in 4wd most of the time on the trails, we use the locker just in times of need. The BF locker is great for that.
omg the brute is the best you can get... trust me ...i consider them all...i got an 05 so awesome. realiable insane power and 4wd...my ocusin has a 08, and muy uncle a kfx700. the best you can get
@ATVTVCOM But i need a quad whit power and good to drive-(easy to drive) so i have thinked abaut the outlander 800 or the KQ 750 EPS.But i don't know which one!
if you want a brute for fast trail riding, get a 650 sra, no body roll and lower center of gravity. also quicker off the line than the 650i due to less drive shaft angles losing power and no rear squat.
this tester is a very small man---a full size man like me 6'3" 250lbs the 750 brute feels super stable and adgile and the seat height is just high enough for quick transitions-great very quick sport 4x4-----get one-its really fun
Any simple ATV - foot-shift, swingaxle, air-cooled, like the Rancher, Foreman, Big Bear, and King Quad 400 will be great work ATVs. Just don't expect them to also be great trail machines. Doug
All I can say is that's quite the odd comment. Everyone that comments on any of our videos here on You Tube needs to put a little more thought into what they say before they say it - make a comment that adds to the value of the video. Doug

@ATVTVCOM But can i and what's the charge?
MegaGmodder 2 months ago
@MegaGmodder While I'm sure it's possible, I'd say it would be less expensive to sell the ATV and get a 650i.
ATVTVCOM 2 months ago
@ATVTVCOM I'm wondering if i can get a split rear axle to my 650 with solid rear axle?
MegaGmodder 2 months ago
@MegaGmodder Why? That's a great (GREAT!) system....

I cant decide between a 700 Grizzly or a 750 Brute Force...Which is the OVERALL better bike?
yamran 2 years ago
Each have their strong points:
Grizzly - power steering
BF - engine sound
Both - great drivetrain
What's most important to you?
You really can't go wrong with either the Brute Force 750, Grizzly 700, or the King Quad 750.
