His accomplishments certainly are incredible and Rudy is very qualified to be president. What happened was that he did horrible in the early states on the primary: Iowa, New Hampshire, Michigan, SC, because he wasn't socially conservative enough. I am extremely socially conservative, but I would definitely vote for Rudy if it came down to a Rudy/Obama vote, and I think most people would.
The problem for him is winning the primaries.
