  • wel thats what i call just ridecusly IMPLE snacks !

how do you get those ideas /

    gonna try it real fast.

you seem to have a lot of fun with your youtube acaunt, so nice ! ^.^

  • This is way easier if you pre mix your sugar and cinnamon and then make your toast in the toaster, butter it and sprinkle away!

  • @thiskidglows excellent suggestion! thanks :)

  • That was a waste of time...

    Sorry.

  • Stupidly stupid show

  • was not a fan of this recipe but a big fan of your shirts ;)

  • My mum always used potato bread, spread butter onto it, added sugar and cinnamon that she always had in a shaker, then put it into the oven for a few minutes without a pan (just directly onto the clean racks. It gets that wonderfully crunchy topping. So good.

  • This is a show? I'd unsub but there are good shows on this channel that I wouldn't want to miss. I guess I'll just put up with this stupidly simple show.

  • @fegolem and I'll put up with you commenting here.

  • I'm jealous. You have an awesome gas range. lol.

  • what is the name of that song??? LOVE IT!

  • @wkp413 "Till This Goes Away" by Kelly Harper. I always list the song title in the credits :)

  • Who doesn't know how to make cinnamon toast? Stupidly simple snacks should be something that most people with more than 10 brain cells haven't thought about for snacking.

  • @Pantalooniesconqueso sometimes it's not about whether you know something, but whether you actually take the time to do it and do it well. I create a show for unpretentious food lovers who want to be entertained regardless of their cooking abilities, which, as you can probably guess, takes more than ten brain cells. In any case, thank you for watching :)

  • My family mixes butter cinnamon and brown sugar and puts it in a margarine container that you can take out and use anytime . :)

  • @MacCoreTV yikes, bad day?

  • @MacCoreTV These people are me, Amy Cao. I prefer the taste of caramelized cinnamon sugar, which happens when the broiler scorches the granulated sugar. But don't let that stop you from making your cinnamon toast @peleefarmers's way.

  • Where did you get that t-shirt?? I think it's so cute.. and I'm guilty of taking lots of pictures of my food creations. Thanks!

  • @AmandiD They're our Foodspotting company t-shirts! Google Foodspotting & take a look at our site :)

  • 1. Buy a toaster oven. They have more uses than a plain toaster.

    2. Use spreadable Smart Balance. Better for you and SPREADS.

    3. Pre-mix sugar and cinnamon in a clean, air-tight container to your preference so you always have it available until you run out.

  • @limalicious thank you for the suggestions!

  • LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has oven issues, I've gotten distracted and had to come running to the stove when the alarm went off quite a few times!

Anyway I was so excited (beacuse I love cinnamon!) that I paused your video and went and made the cinnamon toast and that was super yummy, quick and easy! I plan to make it for my sister and I on our way to Yoga tomorrow! Thanks! :-)

  • @NekoCylestia phew, thank you for your sweet comment. I'm so relieved this video left someone happy!

  • lame. just toast the bread in a toaster first

  • Amy no offense but I fail to see what benefit you bring to a food channel when you know nothing of food it seems and are not a chef nor a cook, just acting clownish and trying to be cutesy is highly annoying and does nothing for the channel. I mean its cinnamon toast, CINNAMON TOAST for gods sake. You make toast and add butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Change the name from Stupidly simple to just STUPID.

  • @nls8520 that's why it's called "stupidly simple snacks"-- for people that don't know how/don't feel like making something involved.

  • @nls8520 no offense taken.

  • @amyblogschow I may have been a touch harsh, sorry about that, I was being a crankpot. Your cute, and seem nice and pleasant, and if nothing else that is something, keep doing what you do.

  • god ilove your comment lol... but amy is like a little bird... we just have to let her sing and chirp...

  • @santi781 Yeah thanks! I came off pretty harsh and actually kind of apologized. It was funny though.

  • gooks

  • @ballietbran lol

  • wtf is this,u ladies ugly ones at that over complicated something so simple

  • I can't believe that I forgot about cinnamon toast!!!

I LOVE this stuff. I don't think I have made it for years.

I may make it a little different but THANK YOU for reminding me about this truely simple snack!

  • @sjbethke happy to bring back good memories! thanks for watching :)

  • stupidly simple asian girls. :)

  • @santi781 well, to be specific, I'm an American born and raised in Brooklyn; Fiona is from Australia. Certainly, we're Asian, but we're a bit more multicultural than what your stupid comment would suggest.

  • aww come on Amy... you cant take us seriously... i'll stop hating on you i promise.

  • this is so unhealthy for my cholestrol. could you also feature healthy recipes. Thankz

  • @sushi0802 of course. Any suggestions for healthy snacks?

  • the recipe is kinda lame but I love the shirt, please tell me where to buy it at!

  • @faylinameir I like the recipe and think you should try it before saying it's lame. You can get the shirt through the company I work for, Foodspotting.

  • @amyblogschow I think its lame because who honestly needs a recipe for making cinnamon toast?

  • That's a lot of butter X_X

  • @Silverstarlightt there wasn't enough butter :)

  • I think this may be easier if you make a compound butter with cinnamon and sugar, toast the bread and then spread it with the compound butter.

  • @thePowerPlant actually, after making this video, I learned that mixing the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl before sprinkling it on top of the butter is easier!

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your t-shirts!! :) Nice video as well, thanks! :)

  • @krukka aw, thanks! It's the Foodspotting company logo. Visit our website! We're like a home for food photos on the internet and on iPhones :)

  • lol this is too much work for such a simple thing

you just gotta put the bread in the toaster

and spread the butter on the toast while its stil hot and add the sugar and cinnamon

i thought everyone did it like that??? lol

  • @party6panda apparently there's another way :)

  • Fuck white bread.

  • 1:41 on repeat.

  • Looks delicious Amy! Thanks again! ^^

  • @iluvchocolate1019 thanks for watching again :)

  • Even easier

    1) Mix cinnamon and sugar in parmesan shaker (large holes)

    2) Toast bread

    3) Spread butter or margarine

    4) Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture on top

    5) From here you can sort of work it all together with your knife or eat as is

  • @peleefarmers Exactly! I made cinnamon toast like that with my mom when I was little. Toast bread, spread on butter, shake on cinnamon-sugar combo, eat and enjoy. So much easier.

  • @peleefarmers ok ok! you got me... it does sound easier this way :P lol

  • @peleefarmers I thought everyone that knew about cinnamon toast, knew that you are suppose to toast the bread before the butter, sugar and cinnamon. This video made me sad for my race.

  • @sukibarafucci

Well, not everywhere. Everyone I know makes it like she showed it. But I also live in the Midwest, so there may be cultural differences. It turns out quite different, though, because the sugar forms a crust over the bread that is crunchy, and it's honestly a lot better than just adding sugar at the end (because that can cause it to get soggy).

  • @missiworld yes, the sugar caramelizes under the broiler. Thanks for pointing this out :)

  • @sukibarafucci your race?

  • @peleefarmers thats exactly how I do it except it like to put a little lemon juice on top. That way, it tastes just like beaver tails!

  • @PlatypusGuitar Beaver tails! I am Canadian too, eh. Enjoy your cinnamon toast beaver tails. I have to try that now.

  • @peleefarmers We use an old spice bottle instead!

  • Can I just kinda make a cinnamon-sugar-butter spread in the microwave and put that on? I like my cinnamon foods to be very cinnamon...ny.

  • @yasharox I've never tried it, but you should feel free to try it! And add as much cinnamon as you'd like.

  • Yum!

  • @yasharox yes, very!

  • step 1) put sugar and cinnamon together in a container with a lid step 2) shake the container mixing the cinnamon and sugar together step 3) put bread in the toaster and toast the bread step 4) when the toast is done toasting spread butter on the bread step 5) place the buttered side of the toast down into the container step 6) take out the bread and put it on a plate step 7) put a lid on your container storing your new cinnamon and sugar mix step 8) eat your cinnamon and sugar toasted bread!

  • @kiekie84 thats mostly what i do the only thing different is i store my C&S mix in a spice jar and spirkle it on the toast:) lol

  • You are great Amy! Thanks!

  • Sounds GREAT:p Ty
