My mum always used potato bread, spread butter onto it, added sugar and cinnamon that she always had in a shaker, then put it into the oven for a few minutes without a pan (just directly onto the clean racks. It gets that wonderfully crunchy topping. So good.
This is a show? I'd unsub but there are good shows on this channel that I wouldn't want to miss. I guess I'll just put up with this stupidly simple show.
Who doesn't know how to make cinnamon toast? Stupidly simple snacks should be something that most people with more than 10 brain cells haven't thought about for snacking.
@Pantalooniesconqueso sometimes it's not about whether you know something, but whether you actually take the time to do it and do it well. I create a show for unpretentious food lovers who want to be entertained regardless of their cooking abilities, which, as you can probably guess, takes more than ten brain cells. In any case, thank you for watching :)
@MacCoreTV These people are me, Amy Cao. I prefer the taste of caramelized cinnamon sugar, which happens when the broiler scorches the granulated sugar. But don't let that stop you from making your cinnamon toast @peleefarmers's way.
LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has oven issues, I've gotten distracted and had to come running to the stove when the alarm went off quite a few times!
Anyway I was so excited (beacuse I love cinnamon!) that I paused your video and went and made the cinnamon toast and that was super yummy, quick and easy! I plan to make it for my sister and I on our way to Yoga tomorrow! Thanks! :-)
Amy no offense but I fail to see what benefit you bring to a food channel when you know nothing of food it seems and are not a chef nor a cook, just acting clownish and trying to be cutesy is highly annoying and does nothing for the channel. I mean its cinnamon toast, CINNAMON TOAST for gods sake. You make toast and add butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Change the name from Stupidly simple to just STUPID.
@amyblogschow I may have been a touch harsh, sorry about that, I was being a crankpot. Your cute, and seem nice and pleasant, and if nothing else that is something, keep doing what you do.
@santi781 well, to be specific, I'm an American born and raised in Brooklyn; Fiona is from Australia. Certainly, we're Asian, but we're a bit more multicultural than what your stupid comment would suggest.
@faylinameir I like the recipe and think you should try it before saying it's lame. You can get the shirt through the company I work for, Foodspotting.
@thePowerPlant actually, after making this video, I learned that mixing the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl before sprinkling it on top of the butter is easier!
@peleefarmers Exactly! I made cinnamon toast like that with my mom when I was little. Toast bread, spread on butter, shake on cinnamon-sugar combo, eat and enjoy. So much easier.
@peleefarmers I thought everyone that knew about cinnamon toast, knew that you are suppose to toast the bread before the butter, sugar and cinnamon. This video made me sad for my race.
Well, not everywhere. Everyone I know makes it like she showed it. But I also live in the Midwest, so there may be cultural differences. It turns out quite different, though, because the sugar forms a crust over the bread that is crunchy, and it's honestly a lot better than just adding sugar at the end (because that can cause it to get soggy).
step 1) put sugar and cinnamon together in a container with a lid step 2) shake the container mixing the cinnamon and sugar together step 3) put bread in the toaster and toast the bread step 4) when the toast is done toasting spread butter on the bread step 5) place the buttered side of the toast down into the container step 6) take out the bread and put it on a plate step 7) put a lid on your container storing your new cinnamon and sugar mix step 8) eat your cinnamon and sugar toasted bread!
wel thats what i call just ridecusly IMPLE snacks !
how do you get those ideas /
gonna try it real fast.
you seem to have a lot of fun with your youtube acaunt, so nice ! ^.^
choclatchipcookie 10 months ago
This is way easier if you pre mix your sugar and cinnamon and then make your toast in the toaster, butter it and sprinkle away!

@AmandiD They're our Foodspotting company t-shirts! Google Foodspotting & take a look at our site :)
amyblogschow 1 year ago
1. Buy a toaster oven. They have more uses than a plain toaster.
2. Use spreadable Smart Balance. Better for you and SPREADS.
3. Pre-mix sugar and cinnamon in a clean, air-tight container to your preference so you always have it available until you run out.

amyblogschow 1 year ago
Even easier
1) Mix cinnamon and sugar in parmesan shaker (large holes)
2) Toast bread
3) Spread butter or margarine
4) Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture on top
5) From here you can sort of work it all together with your knife or eat as is
