i remember when i was 13 years old, i had only met my grandfather twice in my life and my dad and i went to go see him because he was in hospice care. i hadnt seen him since i was 4. he hugged me and cried, because it had been so long. the third day we were there out of the week, he fell and broke his leg and died during surgery. that was the first time i had seen my dad cry in my whole life.
