It runs crysis at good fps for it's age, but CPU seems to be having flaws when calculating physics :(, I see omnidirectional bullets when using a sniper, water flowing upwards and koreans walking towards the sun.

Is this normal?

aaahh good memories. I used to play this on the 8500gt, which was a poor choice. I late upgraded to a 8600gt with GDDR3 memory, it allowed me to play at higher settings, and the game was gorgeous.

A vast difference between medium and high shader settings.

The shortstick was that I could only play it in 800x600 resolution, on a 4:3 monitor. Which wasn't bad at all.

I just built a comp. Runs crysis no lag smooth as at high settings with a couple set to very high. If all set at very high it runs fine then crashes after a while. I'm pretty sure with a little bit of an OC I could max it out with little effort.

I can run Crysis fine on very high, but objects quality has to be down to medium and shaders have to be down to high to keep things above 30fps. I have Hd5770 crossfire and phenom II 965 @3.68ghz and 4gb DDr3 I get 30-60, but 40-60 most of the time.

@izzydemon The hd 5770 is almost as fast as the 4870.XFX is the name of the brand that makes video cards for ATI.You should've bought a quad core but that phenom II is preety good :) you can run this game at very high settings with no problems.

@EnthusiastGamer Quad core processors don't do you any good in video games. If you want more processing power for games, go with a single or dual core with a higher clock speed, at least 3 Ghz. I recommend the Intel Core i5 670. Check the specs on your own time but it's a fuckin beast, and overclocks like a champ.

Try closing all the background processes that are not needed, make sure you are using all of the same ram and that it is all inserted propley, get a 750+ watt powersupply if you havnt already got one, and make sure your mb has full crossfire compatibility. If you do all that try running with just one 5770 and see what the difference is. If all else fails you either have something wrong with your hardware or your game is corrupted. Oh and your pc could be overheating.
