Scotland's big not so secret problem is the sectarianism especially in the west. On one side Protestants of largely homegrown stock and on the other Catholic of Irish immigrant stock. It totally overshadows any supposed anti-Englishness. Of course as a nation as a whole Scots don't dislike the Irish.
