Found this just far too easy in many places, and very few challanges compared to "Sands of Time". No balance required on beams etc. Thought the graphics were great though compared to the Disney type charactures of "Sands of Time."
Although this soundtrack is great..this feels nothing like the previous good old PoP games..it feels more like 65% of Lord Of The Rings mixed with 35% PoP.Sorry but Ubi's latest PoP adventure was a steel chair to the face..for Pop fans of course.Oversimplified for dumb masses, feels like a poor man's God Of War..this game is a Forgotten Fail..sorry..this game brought me to tears..in a bad way of course.
this game was definitely a very dignified sequel to sands of time and a great addition for the series. but im sure you agree: it was too short!! i think it took me about 5 hours, i dont know. that made me a bit sad, but i hope our prince will strike back soon!
PoP is definitely one of the greatest game series ever. no matter what some fools say. ubisoft did a fantastic job, and they prooved that they are the ones who got the mojo for keeping our prince epic and alive.
@10taclearts They can never kill him off. Nor Farah, or the old man that watched over him. The only thing I want them to do is reveal the Prince's true name.
This game has one of the most epic boss battles ever, i loved it. I can recommend everyone who plays this on the PC to buy a 360 controller for this game, though.
No offense to fans of the soundtracks of all games, but i like this one the best because it wasnt by stuart chatwood. i just dont like metal and dont think it fits PoP
The wii version was kinda bad. I tried both of them. I first had the wii version because i had no Xbox. Then, my wii stopped working and i got a Xbox. I tried the Xbox version and it was better than the wii. The soundtrack, the powers and the gameplay. It's just my opinion.
wow! i want to thank ubisoft for composing such beautifull soundtracks.from SOT to TFS.i got goospumps.with out soundtracks it is not possible to play.the main roots of POP is the surrounding environment, acrobatics moves giant bosses, powers and puzzles solving.i never get tired while playing this game pop is the best game of ubisoft in history.i love ubisoft $POP
I think Jablonsky is much better composer than Zimmer, when works in projects with more freedom developes much more complex and interesting melodic lines without the repetitive "chan cha chan!" of Zimmer's ones from last times. For the record... I'm a big Zimmer fan...
I wouldn't bet on it. As long as there's money to be made, I'm sure Ubisoft can come up with another adventure for our Prince. There's supposed to be a seven year gap (?) between SOT and Warrior Within - plenty of time to unleash another evil curse upon the world! :p
This is a beautiful piece. To me it almost feels like two themes since the part from 1.10 onwards is used as the pause menu theme. Both of them equally beautiful.
Correct. The PS3/Xbox/PC Forgotten Sands is a completely different game to the one you get for the Wii/PSP/DS. Jablonsky composed the main theme and cutscene music for this one (Penka Kouneva composed the rest) and Tom Salta composed the Wii music.
Great game. It had all the elements of classic Prince of Persia. The soundtrack was excellent and among the best I have heard. I say it ranks up there with God of War 3 in epic quality. I also loved the fact that Yuri Lowenthal did the voice of the Prince again. That was most enjoyable as he is the perfect voice for the prince. Aside from all of this, my only complaint of the game was that it was too fast and short. It could have been longer.
100% agreed! Most of the criticism over the game has been aimed at the weak combat, but POP has always been about the platforming for me, so I didn't care about that. Actually a bonus for me, because I absolutely suck at combat - Warrior Within was torture! lol
Could have been a little longer I guess, but better too short than too long. I actually prefer to finish my games before I've grown sick of them. XD
Warrior Within was the least favorite of the Sands of Time Trilogy. Hence, I understand your dislike of the combat. I actually like the combat engine of the original Sands trilogy better than the Forgotten sands. My biggest complaint with the Forgotten's combat was that you could not defend with either the L1 or L2 buttons in order not to incur damage. I really enjoyed the combat of the original three; reminded a little of God of War's combat style.
@BunnyBoiler72 Too true.. I disliked the combat at first, because it wasn't as fluid and acrobatic as, say The Sands of Time, or Two Thrones, but eventually it really grew on me. I learned that you can jump on enemies and hit em kinda late in the game, and that you can jump head to head even later, and kick off an enemy even later! I was impressed, then. Loved fighting 20+ enemies, bouncing from head to head, kicking, slicing, stabbing, it was all so fluid. Just wished you can fight off walls..
@Novistadores Did you play on the Wii or on the Ps3/360. The wii game is completely different to the other platforms but it makes full use of the Wii system... does make me wanna get a 360 and play the other version though!

@YesimSasori It is. I've beaten it in one day. Well maybe because my PoP thirst was unbearable, but it's quite short. Around 7hrs.

This is the way I see the 3D PoP games:
-Sands of Time had both great story and gameplay going for it.
-Warrior Within had great gameplay but "meh" story,
-Two Thrones had great story but "meh" gameplay. (That and what I said about WW's gonna be controversial, I can sense)
-Forgotten Sands has OK story and OK gameplay.
(I haven't played the one just named "PoP")
So, Sands of Time is best, Forgotten is second, then the other two.
That's just my personal opinion though.

I know what you mean, I much prefer this soundtrack to the Wii one, but then it's all a matter of personal taste. :)
But considering the Wii version of the game is so different to the next-gen, I think each soundtrack suits the style of the game perfectly.
