  • In America, the Stewball ballad was "...most popular in the Negro south, where the winning horse is known variously as 'Stewball' or 'Kimball," and was apparently one of the chain-gang songs. The song was recorded by Leadbelly in 1940 (cd available via the Smithsonian Museum), by Joan Baez (album title Joan Baez/5), by Peter Paul and Mary, and a number of successive artists.

  • Très belle interprétation. Bravo : 5*

  • To ragazzocasalino.. I dont agree.. this man sings this french version beautifully .. he reaches my heart..! I also do this version in English .. but the French version , if well sung as bruno sings , it here , why not.. He reaches French people too.. don't forget.. Just my opinion.. no hard feelings .. OK?

  • Bravo! Très belle version! Bravo ! Den

  • you have a nice voice and you play the guitar very well....but somehow "Stewball" just doesn't sound the same in French ...there are some things that you just cannot and should not translate. leave as they are in the language that they are made.
