i have 2 questions. i just bought this case and i want to know what does the desiccant silica gel do and whats the use of the defuser

the silica gel removes the moisture and humidity in the marine case for the diving

Valtyful hello, I use the TZ10 submarine mode to manual. silicagel for I replace it every year for not having a problem. Now I use a new HD camera to experiment GOPRO NAKED. good day micheljanine

@MICHELJANINE - Cher Michel, why do people go GOPRO nowadays? just to have their hands free? or are there more advantages when comparing with normal compact cameras with housing?

Hi, did you use the underwater mode on the TZ10? The colors and WB look so natural. All I've been shooting with my TZ7 has been while snorkeling so maybe that's the reason I get overexposed whites and no so real colors.

@LumixTZ7 yes I used underwater scene mode with the TZ10 and lighting for near video greeting.

the depth is 6 meter , you can see another video at 20 meter deep and compare picture between TZ10 and SD20 of PANASONIC (TZ10 test underwater and SD-9 MARINE CASE UNDERWATER SEA LION SIREN ) the characteristic of marine case TZ10 is 40 meter maximum .I have realise another video in a lake in trouble water at 5 meter deep (silures en plongée Saint Cassien)  see you soon michel janine

@MICHELJANINE hi! you said you used the underwater scene mode, but was that on the inteligent auto scene mode, or did you choose the underwater scene mode in the manual mode? and what about pictures

did you leave the camera in inteligent auto mode allways, regardless of different depths?
