  • Did they have the decency to have this song in the remake?

  • It's bullshit that you can't get this song on iTunes!

  • this pictue was pretty decent and i didnt think it had any real flaws not like i was really looking for any and of course it always helps to have the great roddy mcdowell in any film even the real dull film overboard.

  • Lost Boys sucks. Near Dark is a classic.

  • 1: Bram stoker's Dracula

    2: Lost Boys

    3: Fright Night

Anyone got any other Vamp movies that belong in your DVD collection?

  • @rochey1010 It's newer but let the right one in...or let me in (us).....and of course Nosferatu (any version, I like the Type O negative soundtrack one but the silent one is extremely creepy)

  • @rochey1010 the 1931 version of Dracula and all the Hammer films

  • Dr Who playing Peter Vincent??? Er no thanks.

  • This is the only vampiremovie I loves the werewolf movies are best.

  • love this song..it never gets old =D

  • The makeup and effects were REAL ART. Not like today's computerized fake shit. Scary Movies of the 80's were the BEST!!!

  • @pkbosslac Here's a fun fact about "Fright Night". This is about the part at the end when the vampire Dandridge turns into a bat-monster and explores from exposure to sunlight. That bat-monster was a puppet originally made for "Ghostbusters", but was rejected and just put into a studio storing room. One year later, somebody digged it up and used it for that scene in "Fright Night".

  • @sparrowsanzo Improvisation haha.

  • @pkbosslac And good improvisation to boot. I'm much more of a fan of practical effects anyway. It's nothing like CG because FX people built stuff that were meant to perform in front of a camera. I still wonder how they can pull effects like that off.

  • @sparrowsanzo Im still amazed on the effects in those days. When they kill Jerry's roommate on the stairs and he literally decomposes at sight is amazing haha. That was true art. The way they made Charlie's girl look at the end was awesome as well. That was a golden era of horror/scary movies. They don't make movies like they used to. I just saw the trailer for the re-make of Fright Night and it looks fucking pathetic. Those days were classic and can't be duplicated.

  • @pkbosslac One thing that immediately started to give me doubts about the remake is the fact that Colin Farrell is playing Dandridge. Nobody will deny that he will never ever have the smae charm that Chris Sarandon had in the original.

There's also a rumor going around that a remake for "The Lost Boys" is gonna happened too. If it does, I think I'm going to be ill.

  • @sparrowsanzo I own The Lost Boys also. It was inevitable that a re-make would be made for that movie as well. I doubt it will ever top the original. You can't top classics. Look what happened to Rob Zombies Halloween haha. So many great movies that started in the late 70's and all thorough the 80's. Im glad I was a prt of that era.

  • @sparrowsanzo be ill because it will probably happen along with the child's play remake (using some original people though), the thing (which is a second remake), as well as IT, AND Its alive, and a bunch of others rumored to be remade. Horror movies never get recognized at award shows but when a studio want's to make money back from a flopped "artsy film" they revamp horror movies because even though they are remakes they bring in big money.

  • Awesome Song at the end of the movie!

  • Catchy as fuck, it's has the same mixture of awesomeness and camp as the movie. A perfect fit.

  • I wish I could punch the 1980's in the nut sack.

  • Is that Roddy McDowall?

  • @gabrielgray7 Yes it is.

  • This song is very similar to "Kyoto song" by The Cure. Both was released in the same month of the same year. Too much coincidence.

  • I still can't believe a remake for this is coming out this year.

  • I betcha the remake is going to be so gory & bloody. I loved Fright Night 1 & 2, I don't know why most movie makers can't do sequels instead of remakes. It makes me sick when they remake movies & make them worse than the original.

  • @hott1995 I agree with that; but no matter how horrible the remake will turn out, it won't destroy my love for the original.

  • fright night 2011 trailer on my channel

  • Top 5 best Vampire Films: 5. Dracula (1992), 4. From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) 3. Lost Boys (1987) 2. Lost Boys : The Thirst (2010) 1. Fright Night (1985)

  • Is it just me or does Chris Sarandon look like one of the bad guys from The Goonies?

  • @Jigsaw082 I assume you are referring to Robert Davi. and yeah I suppose I could see that a bit. except for Davi's acne scars of course.

  • @Nate2764 Yeah thanks i couldnt think of the guys name

  • @Jigsaw082 Careful. Sarandon was the acting voice for Jack Skellington.

  • @angrypostmanfilms you know they mite fuck up the movie with cgi right?

  • this would make an awesome halloween party song!!

  • the 80s were awesome, i'm an '89 kid so i barely made it! lol but from the 80s to the 90s, those were the times! RIP roddy mcdowall, good sir.

  • Dammit I love the 80s

  • didn't that guy on the left become a gay porn star or something?

  • @aeronuk1 He became a gay porn director

  • @SCBOI82 is HE gay or does he just direct them?

  • This movie look's older than 1985.

  • Great movie, shitty song, (like the entire J Geils Band catalog post Peter Wolf). Of course their entire catalog sans Wolf consisted of this & the horrid, (but wittily titled), "You're Gettin' Even While I'm Gettin' Odd album. John Geils & Magic Dick went on to create the decent blues band Bluestime which released two albums.

  • @ProfesorCavann:

Roddy Mc Dowall died in 1998

  • Man i love this song. MCR could totally cover this song and get a N0.1

  • MCR could totally fuck off if they ever thought about covering this song.

  • Calm down ya looney....they not gonna cover it so chill out.

  • William Ragsdale is a gay porn actor??

Amanda Bearse after played in tv series "Love and Marriage".

Roddy Mc Dowall died in 2005.

Fight Night and its score was the great hit in vampire movies of the 80's.

    No doubt on it.

(Radio speaker and writer from Spain).

  • No the guy who played Evil Ed is the gay porn acrtor.

  • @usababykiller 4real?

  • William Ragsdale is still pursuing a legitimate career as an actor, making guest appearances on various TV series.

Amanda Bearse went on to be Al Bundy's next door neighbor and foil on Married With Children.

IMDB has Roddy McDowall passing away in 1998.

IMDB also confirms that Stephen Geoffreys, who played Evil Ed, did work in the hardcore porn and a period of time.

Oh, and Chris Sarandon portrayed one of the best movie villains of that period. He was the best part of the movie.

  • Correction it was Stephen Geoffreys (Evil-Ed) who went into gay porn not Ragsdale.

  • awesome movie and soundtrack. they don't make movies like this anymore.

  • ce film est culte pour toutes ses musique...et un super jeu d'acteur!

  • J. Geils Band is beast!

  • Is there an actual video for this that was made by the J. Geils band?

  • yes there is but its not to be seen on youtube beacause of licence issues

  • Yeah, I've only been able to find it on MySpace Video though. Try looking there.

  • like this

  • The boy on the far left is a gay porn-star....

How's that for a Fright Night?

  • Great song; weird opening though.

  • les musiques de "vampire vous aveez dit vampire" sont vraiment superbes!! c'est incroyable le nombre de personne qui danse sur ces musiques lors de soirées... si seulemnt on avait des musiques aussi belles au 21 eme siecle

  • I think this is the only theme song I've heard in a horror movie that actually has a connection with the film.

  • We're all in for a most frightening night, night, night!!!

  • Thanks for posting. Fright Night was a great 80's flick but this is a lame J. Geils Band song. But, without Peter Wolf??? What did you exspect. (I think I spelled that wrong)

  • I like this song.

I wish someone would upload the actual video for it.

I saw it a few years back on VH1 Classic (but stoopidly didn't record it) and haven't seen it since. :(

  • no, this is j geils best song. i would rather listen to this song than 'centerfold' or 'freeze frame' this song is just better, maybe it is because i love the movie so much

  • Nice song...whenever I hear this I am happeh. XD

  • this fucking video is fucking goob shit

  • fright night and lost boys rocked but everyone seems to forget vamp starring grace jones and that was just as cool

  • The J. Geils Band's last hurrah - I don't blame then for closing shop afterwards...

  • I only seen This movie once back in 1985 and it wasn't until a few years ago when I got to see it again. Fright Night is one of the best films of the 80s. The end theme is nice and suspenseful.

  • Superdoido!!!

  • Excellent movie, one of my all-time favorites.

  • Hi everybody!

  • I have this movie and for years never knew this was The J-Geils band. Thanks

  • Doesn't sound like Geils, but it is after Peter Wolf left as vocalist. No wonder they disbanded.

  • When I was younger I recorded this song off the tape onto cassette with my recorder so I could listen to it with my walkman.

  • love the song and the movie is classic

  • I miss the 80's!

  • Is that really J. Geils Band? Time for Google! Wow, Google backs it up. Go figure.

  • I actually tracked this soundtrack down a few months back along with their "lost" album from '84 "You're Gettin' Even While I'm Gettin' Odd" with the one hit "COncealed Weapons". Very RARE! Peter Wolf left b4 the album was recorded and that LP doesn't exist according to their official website! Really good album BTW...a shame really. ALthough "Fright Night" BITES! LOL.

  • cool song , why dont you play with the scenes ..

  • Awesome i love this song! Great 80's film too!

  • great song! great movie
