I've played guild wars from the beginning and with GW2 on the horizon I just can't wait I hope Anet gives out the beta keys to the players who have been playing the longest and not the people who are jumping on the bandwagon

I personally dislike the PvP system in GW2, don't get me wrong though, cause I do like that it will be skilled based rather than geared based. However I think it will get boring for hardcore PvPers to not have any gear or items to obtain from PvPing.

GW2 has a lot of things that is will be bringing to the MMO market, in fact you can already see how a lot of current MMO's (WoW,SWTOR) are trying to Incorporate things that GW2 is doing. First thing that comes to mind is the no-auto attack like in SWTOR/GW2 and how WoW is trying to do that with the monk class now. Because of this I expect a lot of MMO's to jump on this "Band wagon" and remove auto attacking. just a small example thou as well as my opinion.

i'm too excited about GW2 its not even funny anymore. the fact that Mike O'Brien said that it will be released later this year nearly killed me out of excitement, and Yes this game will definitely spearhead next gen MMO and we will be looking back in gaming history and say "Guild Wars 2 changed it forever". that or im just crazy and everyone else are just stubborn buffoons. :)

Well, i am looking forward to the Mists of Pandaria beta that should be on soon, got my annual pass ready for it.

On GW2, no idea. I think it will be one of those MMO's that people will go to and then play Warcraft at the same time since GW is B2P.

On SWTOR, 1.1 was a joke, hence why I un-subbed, if Bioware do not test the content and to quality assurance then I will not fund there new cash cow.

GW:2 has clued up developers, whereas ToR is like amateur hour. Full of basic noob errors and tons of EXTREMELY BASIC mmo content is missing from that game. It doesn't even have a combat log for gods sake. SW:ToR = disappointment of the year.

Agreed, with Mists of Pandaria and GW2 Bioware's lack of basic MMO elements will harm the game they created.

Blizzard are the king of MMO developers, many complain about the direction of the new expansion but it will sell millions anyway.

A-Net are proving to be a bit interesting with GW, however I am not interested in a "new" MMO. I prefer the traditional approach hence my decision to get Mists of Pandraia

"Extremely Basic mmo content" basically means it isn't as much like WOW as other MMO's, I mean for gods sake MMO is a genre which just like any other genre rewards new ideas and concepts which are not achieved through doing the same thing as every other MMO, combat logs are not needed, stop complaining about the little things just because you have no real argument

The problem is Warcraft has had near 8 years of content and development. With SWTOR's release content is quite basic.

That is why people are leaving, to go back to World of Warcraft or indeed wait for Guild Wars.

Traditional MMO = World of Warcraft king, will not be dethorned any time soon

New stlye MMO = Guild Wars, yet to be seen if popular model to use for the future.

Rift, SWTOR, LOTRO, Warhammer.. they all failed with the goal they set out with, to kill wow
