I tried out for the solo Rachel sings. I didn't get it though. This girl who has been getting a lot of the solos. Almost all of the same people get the solos at my school and it's SO unfair! I sing good! (Not trying to be a showoff.) And I think I should get a solo because I haven't gotten a solo since 4th grade!

@JustinBieber4496oxo I feel your pain. I never got a solo until 8th grade, and I really only got that because the girl who DID get the solo decided she didn't want it anymore and I was the runner-up. My first real solo wasn't until my senior year. You'll get your chance. Sometimes, you've just gotta wait a long time to get it.

@maddiesav101 Kinda. Basically its all of the music students learning popular pieces (ex. Don't Stop Believing, Somebody to Love, band learned the theme from Superman, chorus is singing Les Mis and Wicked, various students sing different songs like Ordinary Day, Hallelujah, etc., vocal workshop students are doing a piece from Chicago...) Basically, its a compilation of all kinds of popular music :)

This actually helped me a lot in rehearsal... I got Rachel's solo. Thanks again! :D

Wow great job! Our choir is singing this too! I'm sorta sad though...It's all the Jr. High choirs so seventh, eighth and nineth graders are singing it. I wanted the solo...but because I'm only in eighth grade, I have no chance. My choir director wants to be fair, but she can't help to pick favorites. Lol I want our solo so bad, i haven't wanted anything so bad in my entire life.

We vote in our choir for solos...although sometimes our director decides who she wants even if we voted.

Everyone who's interested auditions and we might have a day or two of that, and then our director makes the decision by the end of the week. And sweet!
