Page Down does reverse thrusts on all engines.

The Landings at that airport are generally, quite rough. As mentioned before, the runway is very short and many jets use the entire runway with reverse thrust engaged until about ~ 20 knots. Many pilots also, try to touchdown well before the touchdown zone to give the aircraft as much space as possible.

I flew in few weeks back on Tiger Airways and we had a soft touchdown but we exited quite early, and used enormous reverse thrust.

Why do so many pilots achieve hard landings at MCY?

Well the runway for jets is 18/36 and the dominant wind comes from the ocean which means that there is often a crosswind.

Also the runway is slightly to narrow for jets, but a allowance was made, and the runway is very short compared to others used by the 737 and A320.

You exited early because there are only 2 taxiways wide enough for jets to use and if they miss those they have to back track down the runway.

Most pilots don't allow for these factors and so have hard landings.

Anyway, I love MCY airport, one of my favourites. I can go to the beach in summer and have planes landing right over my head! One other time we landed Jetstar at MCY and we used the full runway, then backtracked down the runway.

So I guess if they are all over the place on finals, little bit high mabye?, they just dump her down!

Well its hard for me. I am used to landing at this airport, because I learning to fly there, so it should be a lot smoother.
