I recommend a good history class to learn about how nations work. Countries always form out of other countries or nations. That's the way it works a lot of the time. I recommend a good history class to learn about how nations work. Countries always form out of other countries or nations. That's the way it works a lot of the time. I find it saddening that throughout the course of history, my family lost all of it's gaelic roots and now I am more familiar with the Anglo-Saxon language of conquerors,capitalists and exploiters, but I know not one word of Gaelic, except Eire.'Tis a pity. I haven't seen much fighting out of Quebec since the French and Indian War. Do you think the British would have ever given us independence if we asked nicely for it here in the states? No! @Mujangga I will say this 1 more time. The French in Canada gave up Canada in exchange for sugar islands in the carribean after losing Quebec 2 the British Canadians. But the Irish didnt give up & leave Ireland after coming under British rule like the French canadians did. As 4 the Irish speaking English, let me inform U that the Irish have their own language that they speak, called Irish. & many countries around the world use English or French or Spanich etc. & Canada is a marvelous country
