@meganification17 He was joking in the book. He didn't fall in love with her until she was older. It's called sarcasm.

Yeah I think they changed the moment when mr knightley fell in love with her. I guess it goes well with the movie but i wish they stuck to the book. O well.

my favourite book and TV series! Jane Austen was a brilliant author and it's such a shame she couldn't live a happy life with the man she loved...

I love the way they reveal their feelings. Knightly is great and JLM isn't to bad either xx i didn't know until today that he also plays edmond in mansfield park back in the 90s which he is also great at but i definitely prefer him in this. I loved this version

@ladycrick did you also know that the Mr. Elton in this version played Edmond in Mansfield park the bbc version SMALL WORLD

@Jfad18 I just realized that both "Edmund Bertram"s are in this Emma! I think the fact that Jonny Lee Miller (from the 1999 version) is Mr Knightly while Blake Ritson (from the 2007 version) is Mr. Elton is indicative of which Mansfield Park is superior. ;)
