@etin12 what version of FS are you using? I dont rember witch one it is the needs FT 2.1 and the other works with FT 2.2. In 2.2 look at the output tab you will see 2 boxes to chose from FSUIPC for 2002/2004 and simconnect for FS-X. If thoes don't work try FT 2.1 and it shuld work fine. I havent had FS instaled on my PC for over a year.
The next best thing for flight simulators is voice control.
It can be tough to adjust speed, altitude and heading in virtual cockpit.
That's why i use something called "Multi Crew Experience"(for which a free Demo is available). I can just bark voice commands, and the virtual co-pilot executes for me. I can even talk to native ATC or Radar Contact ATC.
All you need is a headset with microphone to check it out LOL :-))
it can only be used with games that support head tracking. arma2 supports head tracking there are not very many FPS games that support this setup. mostly simulators.

Clip stile on a coat hanger that wraps around my hat. works very well. If you cam cant see the lights try adjusting the threshold. Do you know the power of your LED's? are they IR or lights. I find that if myin starts having problems with seeing my LED's I just replace the 9v battery. and it works perfict agin. I am working on a direct line to my PC 12v power suply so I dont need to buy batterys.

As far as settings go, you do not need activecamera installed. I use freetrack 2.2 with a Wiimote.
Select the FSUIPC output, and then selectTrackIR mode output (this will grey out FSUIPC option, but it is ok)... You also need to download TrackIR's software (free) and you have to copy the TIRview.DLL file to your freetrack program's folder. After this, it should work fine.
Well, first get Freetrack 2.2 and install it. After doing this, you need to get your Wiimote connected to your PC. This is a bluetooth connection, and you can probably google for the answer. Microsoft's BT stack sucks though, and will likely not work. Depending upon your BT adapter, you may have had other BT software installed that will work.
Once you get wiimote talking to PC, get TrackIR's free software, and put the TIRview.DLL file into FT's directory. Should work for 6DOF control.

the FreeTrack website goes into details on making a 3point LED model for tracking. I prefer a vertical arrangement mounted to my headphones, positioned above my head in the center. Pretty much anything is possible though. Larger point models are better for low resolution cameras... but the problem is that if you are too close to the camera, larger point models can easily cause one of the LEDs to leave the viewing area. Likewise, this limits the amount that you can move your head.
This video was made whin I first got FT 2.1 and realy didn't know much about it. I am running 6DOF in the DCS Black Shark. It has way better flight moddel than the FS seires

In both actualy :) If it's 2fps in FreeTrack, than it's giving me the same 2fps in the game. Ok, will try setting that exposure to the minimum.

I am now using 2.2 but no longer fly FS9 or FSX. I have moved on to a much better combat sim made by DCS. I have added a video responce to show it.
