Thanks for the nice catch of Radio China. Do you use two antennas on your R75 and have you done any of the mods? I am thinking of getting this receiver. I need to decide also on two antennas. Can the R75 pick up Digital Radio Mondiale stations? I hope you keep uploading catches you make.
Thanks for the comments...I have two antennas i use a 60ft longwire and a EWE bemaing west the Icom can receive DRM but you need a seperate decoder or software. For DRM SSTV I use Easypal you can see some SSTV examples on my website cheers Mark
Nice video! I often received CRI on 1521 in Germany, too, even on my portable Lextronix Eton E5 with its built-in ferrite bar antenna. Your Icom seems to be a good MW DX receiver. How would you rate it in comparison with the Lowe HF-225 Europa (my main MW/SW DX receiver)?
Hi thanks for the comments! I also had a Eton E5...a very good portable. The Icom is very good on mw and is also the best all rounder I have used. it has all the functions I need to DX hunt for utility/ham reception it is awesome. and it is sub £1000. As for the Lowe HF-225 I have never used this receiver so have no idea...cheers and beers Mark
Thanks for your comment. I'm still very satisfied with my HF-225 Europa which I obtained some 15 years ago. It's a good performer on MW and SW. I 've now uploaded some videos of recent MW DX catches. Seems like I'm the only YouTube member so far owning an HF-225...
Hi David howz things MW DX has been pretty sparse here nothing that is too exciting I wonder if its going to stay poor all summer....thanks for watching and the comments cheers and beers Mark

I like the low noise floor level with your ewe. It sounds like a great antenna.

Hi Mark,
Nice reception of Radio China, it seems to be the transmitter site of Xingjiang ( NW of China ) Transmission power is 500 KW !
You can see it in Google earth in N 43°42.962 and E 87°35.749... On the picture we can see 3 towers and the ground plane radials.
