I have a Bluetooth A2DP Receiver and it was recognized by Apple TV's BT stack but I don't know how to let it communicate. The receiver does have a pairing code.
I'm having issues getting my older (with the white keys & numpad) apple bluetooth keyboard to stop falling asleep. It'll sync properly the first time, but after it falls asleep, the keyboard constantly has to be re-paired to wake it up again. Any ideas?
pairing just sets up a link key between both. Also, the current version has an automatic disconnect after a few minutes, but the keyboard will happily re-connect to the last used device (in this case the ATV). to change that you need to connect to it from e.g. your mac
For whatever reason, The iPad seems to be privy to a plethora of minimalistic writing programs so I'm glad to see that it supports Bluetooth keyboards. Hopefully, the community will have full fledged iOS apps running on the new ATV in the none-too-distant future as I'd love to have a power-efficient, feature limited computer for typing up drafts and other such things. It's an odd thing to desire, but I'd like it just the same :)

Could you please give a detailed instruction on how to do it? Thanks in advance....

@otisecennai Sorry, I wasn't clear. You cannot do that yet. (Just saying that It would be easy to implement support for pairing)

Is there a way to pair a bluetooth speaker on an Apple TV device?
otisecennai 1 month ago
@otisecennai pairing is easy, but a) getting the audio from the system is hard, and b) sending it over A2DP is some work.

@scotthemedic the ATV is ready for incoming connections. It should just reconnect when you start typing. No idea what happens if that fails.

I guess you're driving it via DVI.

@mantakun nope. HDMI->DVI->VGA. DVI to VGA is done by the HD Fury box

That setup is very interesting setup. What kind of a monitor or panel are you using?
mantakun 1 year ago
@mantakun We bought a cheap 15" LCD VGA monitor some years ago and got rid of the plastic around the actual panel & PCB.
