  • what width board is good fo a size 9 boot?

  • im a beginner snowboarder, but i can already do lots of jumps and sum rails

    im 5'2 1/2 105lbs and a size 7-7 1/2 shoe

what board and bindings should i get?

  • @TheSchmidty69 its been six monthd but i recommend for anyone like you a burton custom. but i have to worn you they dont come cheap. bindings dont matter to much but u should try (again) the burton custom bindings.

  • So if im 6'3 180lbs and I have a 12" shoe and I want to start snowboarding places like Big Bear/ Snow Summit. What type board should i buy? Should it be wider than normal. I keep hearing things about All-mountian boards. Help.lol

  • @calibeach1 you need an all mt. board that is wide enough to fit Large bindings. I just went through this problem and I just looked everything up online and now I have a perfect setup for what I was looking for.

  • @calibeach1 Seeing that you're a tall person you probably need a 160 - 170 cm board with a stiffer-flex but feel free to start on a soft-flex because you're a beginner. Also depending on your snowboarding boot size you may need a wider board, If you wear a boot that is size 8 or smaller, a board that is 24 centimeters or less wide at the waist would work for you.

If you're wearing a boot that is size 10.5 or larger, a board that is 26 centimeters wide at the waist is your best bet.

  • Doesn't a persons height matter too?

  • Actually thats what I thought to, but the two most important factors are weight and boot size. If you have larger feet you will need a wide board. Height isn't an important factor.

  • @DalhousieBoy

    and weight?

  • @DalhousieBoy it does alot because if ur too tall for the board u have, it can be uncomfortable since your feet would be so close together, though also it could make u loose ur balance easier, though if u have a too big board, the bindings might be too far apart to the point where it could hurt riding, along with that it would be harder to turn, so getting a board inbetween ur chin and nose would be good
