What is it to this Jesus Christ guy you might ask. Unless you have the holy spirit, God's signs and holy word will wash off you like water on a duck. Jesus Christ, to put in layman's terms, was a guy that just went around and healed the sick, helped the poor... just wanted to make the world a better place. @GodsServant05 I understand what you said here, & why you would say it, but unfortunately it is simply not true. And it actually comes from religious teaching in Christianity. The truth is... you WERE unworthy, but now you ARE worthy, because what Jesus did made you worthy. My suggestion... read all the New Testament scriptures that show you what you are IN HIM, then tell me you are unworthy. Plus you are no longer a servant, but a brother & a friend of Jesus. I hope you learn this truth.

@ozWeb2 I think that what GodsServant means that they are a bondslave. A willing servant of the Lord. And I do want to know what religion you follow because I agree that we will never be worthy. But we are made righteous(?) through the blood of Jesus Christ. Not worthy of His sacrifice. I have not come across a verse in the bible that tells me I'm worthy so if you have please let me know. @atheistdawn Jesus was 100% man when He was on earth. He being God, can down from earth to give his life so that we can be forgiven from our sins and go to to heaven. If I was God, there is no way I'd do that for humans who are so undeserving. You just called Him a pile of sado massochistic tripe and yet still He loves you and if you were the only person on earth, He would have still died for you. Read the Bible if you truly want to understand just how important His sacrifice is.

@atheistdawn There is more than enough proof for God's existence. There is no way that this all formed by accident. The Bible is filled with prophecies and they have been 100% accurate which shows that it's not just a book filled with stories. There are future prophecies in Bible that will be fulfilled when Jesus returns. Very, very few non-Christian scholars doubt Jesus' existence. The debate is not his existence, it's whether he is who he said he was. Anyway who seeks the truth will find it.
@atheistdawn My evidence for God is all around me. I look at creation and know that there is a creator. Beyond that, I now have a relationship with the creator. He is changing by day by day and speaks to me though His Word, the Bible. I have God, the Holy Spirit, living inside of me. He convicts me of my sin and points me to Jesus. This all doesn't make sense to you. I understand that. It doesn't make sense to anyone until he experiences it himself.

@atheistdawn Sorry but it brought no light at all. My light will continue to be Jesus, nothing will change that. Also have you tried seeking Him without books, facts, science etc.? Because science has never been able to explain spiritual things. Just try seeking Him without backing things up with things scientists claim. I've been homeschooled so I'm simple minded, I guess :)

@atheistdawn Doctors diagnosed a genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. My muscles would degenerate over time. Meaning I would grow weaker, and weaker. And it usually affects most of my breathing and lung capacity. So I can get breathless and die easily. Right now, my lung capacity is 20-23 max and 15-17 min (Or less) instead of a normal person's 98-100+. So it's already a miracle that I'm living. In fact the closest shave was when I was 3, the age doctors said I would not live past.

@atheistdawn God is a Holy and just. If a judge let his son off the hook without punishment would he be a just judge? No, of course not and neither would God. God said without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. Because we all have sinned, he had to send His only Son to die for us. The definition is of sin missing the mark. We have all missed the mark and every sin is a sin against God. When Jesus died, he had the sins of the world placed on him so that we can be forgiven.

Sorry, I meant to write anyone who seeks the truth will find it. God promises that those who want to find Him, will find Him if they seek Him with all their heart. When I came to God and asked His forgiveness, He changed me into a new person. I used to struggle with lying and rage and tried to stop on my own. I failed over and over again and I couldn't change no matter how hard I tried. God changed me and gave me His strength to overcome it. My desires have changed and I want to please God.
@atheistdawn I asked him to forgive me from all my sins. I know that I was a liar, had horrible problems with anger, was disrespectful to my parents and husband, was selfish, rude, and unloving to my neighbor. The list goes on and on. I still fail to keep his commandments and when I do sin, I ask him to forgive me again. No one on earth will ever be perfect and it's a lifelong process to become like Christ. He was the only perfect, sinless person to ever live.
God changes everyone if they will only let Him. He loves us so much that He would rather die than be without us. We are saved by His grace through faith. No good works will ever get us into heaven. If good works could save us than Jesus wouldn't have had to die. I will be praying for you Dawn. :)

He is alive and changes peoples lives every day. You were created in His image and His likeness. There is no other you & there is no other GOD. What is it to this Jesus Christ guy you might ask. Unless you have the holy spirit, God's signs and holy word will wash off you like water on a duck. Jesus Christ, to put in layman's terms, was a guy that just went around and healed the sick, helped the poor... just wanted to make the world a better place. What did people do to him, they brutalized him and killed him. Now Jesus Christ is the king of all the nations. He is the way to God and all we desire. Simple trust is all we need.

The truth is... you WERE unworthy, but now you ARE worthy, because what Jesus did made you worthy. My suggestion... read all the New Testament scriptures that show you what you are IN HIM, then tell me you are unworthy. Plus you are no longer a servant, but a brother & a friend of Jesus. @atheistdawn There is more than enough proof for God's existence. There is no way that this all formed by accident. The Bible is filled with prophecies and they have been 100% accurate which shows that it's not just a book filled with stories. There are future prophecies in Bible that will be fulfilled when Jesus returns. Very, very few non-Christian scholars doubt Jesus' existence. The debate is not his existence, it's whether he is who he said he was. Anyway who seeks the truth will find it.

He is changing by day by day and speaks to me though His Word, the Bible. I have God, the Holy Spirit, living inside of me. He convicts me of my sin and points me to Jesus. Because science has never been able to explain spiritual things. Just try seeking Him without backing things up with things scientists claim. I've been homeschooled so I'm simple minded, I guess :)

@atheistdawn Doctors diagnosed a genetic disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. My muscles would degenerate over time. Meaning I would grow weaker, and weaker. And it usually affects most of my breathing and lung capacity. So I can get breathless and die easily. Right now, my lung capacity is 20-23 max and 15-17 min (Or less) instead of a normal person's 98-100+. So it's already a miracle that I'm living. In fact the closest shave was when I was 3, the age doctors said I would not live past.

God said without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. Because we all have sinned, he had to send His only Son to die for us. The definition is of sin missing the mark. We have all missed the mark and every sin is a sin against God. When Jesus died, he had the sins of the world placed on him so that we can be forgiven.

Sorry, I meant to write anyone who seeks the truth will find it. God promises that those who want to find Him, will find Him if they seek Him with all their heart. When I came to God and asked His forgiveness, He changed me into a new person. I used to struggle with lying and rage and tried to stop on my own. I failed over and over again and I couldn't change no matter how hard I tried. God changed me and gave me His strength to overcome it. My desires have changed and I want to please God.

I know that I was a liar, had horrible problems with anger, was disrespectful to my parents and husband, was selfish, rude, and unloving to my neighbor. The list goes on and on. I still fail to keep his commandments and when I do sin, I ask him to forgive me again. No one on earth will ever be perfect and it's a lifelong process to become like Christ. He was the only perfect, sinless person to ever live.

People can make a god out of anything and worship a mud pie if they so desire, but the difference between "a god" and "THE Living GOD" is exactly that. He is alive and changes peoples lives every day. You were created in His image and His likeness. There is no other you & there is no other GOD. Trust me, if you seek Him like your eternity depends on it, He will make Himself known to you as well. He loves you!!!
