  • i love russian folk dance... =)

  • 10, OK.

  • could be better learned.....

  • look better turkish folk dance lol ;)

  • roman and romanians - diffrent words , aren't they? if to read hystory, "gupsy" culture begins from europe (italy or spain, i dont remember exactly, dont you see the same dresses and dances details?). By other version, they came from india (frankly speaking, can't see anything same in indian gupsy culture and russian gupsy). Now, they can live anywhere..They could and they can

  • funny

  • what is the name of this song? is there a place i can buy their cd?

  • ahahhaha AHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAH WOOW, IS THAT GUY DRUNK?

he almost slips so many times

  • they ar a nomadic people, they ar all over the world, and they will be nomads for ever. Is in their blood.

  • for all people that don't know culture: this is russian cultureas well as gypsy culture, russian culture is/was influenced A LOT by the gypsy culture.

  • his gypsy russian and he does probaly live russia because im one of them my self and thats how you dance in russian gyppsy way.

  • it looks like the dude is trying to kick a mouse or something

  • The ones you are talking about must be gypsies FOR SURE! Don't call them Romanians...

  • it has nothing with russians to do, im russian so I know better, so you may change the name of this video

  • It has to Roma or tsiganie from Russia and Ukraine!

  • These are russian gypsies, and the Roma(gypsy people) in have developed a music/dance that is similar to all other gypsies but for the most part its distinctly unique to tsiganie (russian name for gypsies). I have a lot of gypsy frieds who have never heard some of these songs and dont dance like this because they arent russian gypsies. The point im getting at is that there is a difference. Anyway great video; I loved it!

  • igen szukar, KEEP IT UP =)

  • theses are Gypsy's from a another country

  • It is not Russian at all. They are gipsy/is.

I tell you, because I am Russian.

  • Of course it's Russian to: there are lots of Roma (or "gypsies" as you call them) who've been living in Russia for centuries, so it's part of the Russian cultural (or choreographic) heritage too. Being Russian and Romani is not mutually exclusive!

  • According to your logic they are american and europenian and maybe japanese too. Because they have been living in this countries too.

I would call them europenian dancer rathen then russian dancer.

  • If this dance is European, not Russian, it's Indian too: That's where Roma came from originally and their dance still carries those influences.

My point was: this particular dance is RUSSIAN Romani dance - not "just gypsy - not Russian". This type of Romani dance was developed specifically in Russia by Russian Roma, so it's Russian too. You might want to read a bit about Roma before writing about them. Keeping your mind and ideas about cultural belonging open isn't harmful...

  • Well, May be my thinking is linear, but if look on the population of Roma, the most part was living in Europe. So that the culture should be develop by majority or people WITH THE SAME RELIGION or ROOTS and besides the enviroment for the new culture was better in Europe.

Both, music instruments and closings are not russian and develop by other culture. May be they have develop this dancing style while living in isolation in Russia, but it`s hard to belive.

  • Guys, one comment FOR EVERYBODY.

Please spell correctly all of these words about the Roma people. If you are not Roma it's OK, if you are that's also Ok, but please at list study how to spell right. Actually the best way to say it in English, like that: Roma (Gypsies), because we are not a "gypsies" but some people don't know who are Roma, so it is best way to write.

Best wishes to all of you,

    Devlesa,

    Roman.
