this is.... such a bad way of interupting patterns because he's isn't giving his (client) that more than goood feeling inside..he's making him feel more and more annoyed.
infact, one of the more interesting ways to interupt and fill that void with those enchanting good feelings is to start talking and when you say.. " I was wondering the other day..................................." and after a long pause look at the person you've interrupted and give that brilliant warm smile :)
the client can think that you are not interested and rapport will vanish. People take their own problems very serious, and when you communicate that you don't, they will ask themselves questions about your intentions. That's what I think.
@Maartenn100 You are exactly right in thinking that. The fact that you noticed the rapport vanish between them means you are already we'll versed in the theories of NLP. In a situational or clinical setting pattern interrupt are usually only used once or twice to change a line of thought.
The guy in the black shirt has the worst glasses, he can't see what he is doing to the situation. Clap clap clap, I'm brilliant. Really, all this does is exacerbate the state and underlying problem. It does not serve to release the psychic energy to then reveal and diffuse it. Shame SHame Shame. Tsk Tsk. Have some tea? Really? TMI! Oh thanks. Now, what is your problem? That's sunshineY! Clap clap clap
I think it's a bad example of a pattern interrupt. The guy who was willing to share an unresolved problem was actually a bit ridiculed. Not nice.

Thanks for sharing your current perspectives. Can you say a little bit more about what you mean by psychic energy?
