  • Gaius *Caligula" Ceasar, was 29 when he was assassinated. Why do they use such old actors? it makes them seem like they don't know the real history of it all.

  • Comment removed

  • @agfaulk Actually, he was. And if YOU did some research, you would realize I am correct.

  • @agfaulk Born 31 August AD 12

    Birthplace Antium, Italy

    Died 24 January AD 41 (aged 28) almost 29

Place of death Palatine Hill, Rome

  • Meh, History Channel! Alert, avoid, avoid! Sensationalism and free cocaine ahead! Proceed at your own risk. From a Greek, LMAO!

  • Rome was built on blood and plundering! Once the centurions could not receive their share of the loot ( in silver and gold) the illusory State was rightfully destroyed from the pages of history. Rome was an aberration for 500 years. It greatest feats was murder, theft, genocides, and disorder. Even its architecture was stolen from Greece, Egypt, and Carthage. It had no sciences, little philosophical thought, and no arts.

  • @TheAfroCapitalist I don't mean to be rude but you're full of shit.

  • @spinmonkey4401 Dare to argue my point with evidence rather than engaging in nonsensical insults!

  • @TheAfroCapitalist OK, I apologize for the insult but there is no way I could argue with you on your points because the subject matter is way too big and complex to try and do it on YouTube. I'm not saying that there isn't some patina of truths in your comments but you have completely discounted all 1,000 years of classical Rome as a complete farce. We'll just have to agree to disagree on your thesis.

  • @spinmonkey4401 I am not discounting Rome's history; but I find it interesting that great monsters like Napoleon Bonaparte, Adolf Hitler, and Mussolini all looked up to Rome as a model; and, as a foundation for their "projects." Now, you can say all you want about " classical rome"; but the fact of the matter is that the Roman State did not produce much of value; but stole and plundered its way to dominance.

  • @spinmonkey4401 Even the modern Nations that are now " celebrating" the great Roman empire were all systematically annihilated by the Romans. Case for example being the " Gauls" of today's France. More than 1 millions men, women, and children were murdered by the armies of Julius Ceasar! What is the ratio of 1 millions people 200 bc with today's world's population? I don't even want to know! But Julius Ceasar is celebrated as a " GREAT GENERAL"!

  • @spinmonkey4401 You might not realize it, maybe, but there is an inherent fascination with murderers and tyrants in Western academia! Napoleon Bonaparte is a hero in France ( a man who restored the slave trade after it was abolished); Abraham Lincoln is celebrated in the US ( Despite being a vicious racist and a totalitarian mercantilist); Mussolini is a hero in Italy, Hitler ( How many documentary there is about the SS on the internet?)..etc All this fascination stems FROM ROME!

  • Good history, but the acting, animations and music are the reasons I fucking hate the history channel.

  • I need to watch more before i comment >:-( :-1

  • What is the name of this?

  • @GodfleshR21Tiamat watever

  • @GodfleshR21Tiamat dude shut ur fuking mouth and GTFO take ur hate somewhere else

  • @GodfleshR21Tiamat Yea! Much better to be an unwashed, illiterate backward nomad who has to struggle for survivor every day!

  • its kinda scary/exciting/nerve racking to think how the world really is getting faster today, widespread instant media, no wonder it took rome so long to crumble :P but the british empire only need a couple hundred to fall, kinda gives you a pessimistic way to think of the future of USA haha

  • Your not gonna get a coherent history of rome from the TV or US History books in school. You don't really need it because what happened to rome is what is happening to USA right now

  • History channel can not be trusted...

If we learn history from Robert Murdoch we will be lied...

  • @Summanininruhu is that Rupert's brother?

  • @keithburgun father

  • hey cesar, never heard of a boat?

  • @dontbeannoying would have probably taken just as much effort to build the hundreds or thousands of boats that would have been needed to cross as it did to make the bridge. Or would you have had them build only a few boats cross a few hundred of soldiers at a time and watch them get slaughtered by the barbarians as the next batch was rowing across?

  • WE CAME WE SAW WE CONQUERED!!!!

  • Sorry, this stinks. And it's all been done dozens of times. You call this "The History Of Rome - it's an account of the Roman Empire Period, the last 400+ years - so you leave out the 500 years of kings and 200 years of the Republic. I've always been dismissive of Henry Ford's 'History is bunk' quote, feeling he had No interest in it. It's clearer to see what he meant when we get "Newspeak history" like this.

  • @slideharp1 I agree with you, however you are wrong on one thing. The Republic lasted for 500 years, not 200 :)

  • @Laz24 Right - I got them ass backwards.

  • Does anyone know what this actual DVD is called?

I'd like to buy it because I need the footage for a school project xD

    Any help ?

  • This is wrong. Caesar was killed in the Theater of Pompey, not in the Senate. So far this is off to a bad start!

  • @herrtimburkhardt Yes he was killed in the Theatre of Pompey, but also the Senate. The Senators met in various places, but wherever they met was called the Senate.

  • @bob32dt Oh that's interesting. From the way they phrased it it sounds like they mean the Senate House, but your interpretation is more charitable. Thanks for that.

  • @zazenzach no it was the weak mentally of Christianity which slowly destroyed the Roman empire

  • The Collective Destiny of the World was determined for a thousand years by three cultures: Rome in the West, The Caliphate of the Middle East, and China in the far east.

  • Julius Caesar my nikka. Dnt fck with him ya dig.

  • Rome and China.... Rome with his legions are very disciplined... and china hmm many soldiers and lasted much longer... still rich

  • What was the name of this mini series? When did it air on the History Channel?

  • @steel888 engineering an empire

  • Dramatic American documentary's fuck me off

  • Roma caput mundi

  • MARY BOATWRIGHT... you're wrong, he didn't want power out of greed, he did it because the Roman state was in trouble. Afterr the death of Sulla the senate was corrupt shown by Pompey's multiple rejections, the catilinarian conspiracy of Cicero... Caesar had to have the power.

  • Finally, a good documentary! The "Rise and Fall of an Empire"'s got waa~~ay too much theatrics for my liking; the actors and props for any documentary should be illustrative, not dramatic. IMHO :)

  • are there any documentaries covering rome when it was just a city state kingdom?

  • The complete Roman Empire/Republic endured from 753 BC til 1453 AD. Nothing else like it. The Roman Empire was so vast, it was split into two regions: West and East. The Eastern Roman Empire, labelled as the Byzantium Empire, endured till 1453 AD till the Ottomans usurped it.

  • @fortune1972 if youre going to go back to 753 BC you have to say Roman Kingdom, Republic then Empire

  • @fortune1972

china lasted much longer than rome.

  • @zazenzach Gaius

  • @zazenzach because rome hand expanded the known world what did china do , sit in china and conquer asia i doubt china conquered the world, the reason rome fell is because they got lazy they thought they were king shit once that happens it was all over they didn't realize they were in danger of being taken and when it happened it was like being shot your like wtf then your dead pretty much

  • @nyphix4321 Europe and northern Europe is FAR from the world ;). Doesn't China qualify as known world?

ANd you are right, both China and Rome got lazy at some point and got shot in the face. Also, it is interesting that Roman Empire at its height and the powerful Han dynasty in China existed at the same time. Coincidence? I don't know...

  • @nyphix4321 SOrry: I mean Europe and Northern *Africa*

  • Peter Weller always seems to be drunk off his ass in his narrations of these shows that he appears in - an angy drunk.

  • "They were driven by a collective cultural ego" .....oh I thought it was the story of the USA. damn.

  • It is not how big is the land you occupy, it all about how big is your people's heart for you . Understand? We said, commons like water, it can support you, also can overcome you. Only wise leaders understand this and they have not too much frills too, let people like them. :) Therefore they are greater one in the world.

  • While due to my own observation, we Chinese have a famous quote that : the rich can not last over 3 generations, while they have lasting more than 20 generations now, but some commons families fit to this agenda because their 3rd generation been spoiled and begin to commit to gay or other mess relationship. I guess the Royal family is still a good model because they doing right things, even also have scandles, but good wishes for them. I also guess they must have some big secret to rule. :)

  • While still have good impression with British leadership though, because they not only give money for welfare for their own people, but all they accepted. And nobody can actually doing this for now in all worldwide. The money is little , but make sure they won's need to beg on street as long as they work hard. Who can do this now in such enviroment? They also fight war for free the blacks. Impressive indeed. Nobody can do so. Because they all dispise them and abuse them too.

  • I just impressed that their leadership and royals are nobeler than Italians because they did not murder their top leader just for jealousy. In oppsite, they always singing God save the Queen. How can you stand when you murder your leader for no reason , and just for the lust of power? Not too much respect with these kind of people too. Simply silly enough. :) While in China, due to very wicked and do not want give up power, some dynasty also failed, such as Song dynasty. This is self shameful.

  • Rome ruled Palstain very earlier before Christ. Will do some research later of this interesting nation and Empire. :)

  • Like Caser though, because he is very smart in engineering and is a real leader, but, both him and Hilter are all not as smart as Empire Qin Shi Huang in China, because he is quicker and he has better intuition than all of them, well, smart people will know what I mean ONLY. :) He is looking for forever herb though, passed away in rich and nobody can murder him. :) haha. I guess all rulers are kind of divine beings though. But he is really sb. :) Not die upset let them. :)

  • Rome is a funny empire though, like Hiliter's empire, the worst enemy just themselves. :) Now , they are all--very small. :) While British is the biggest. :) Well smartest too. :)

  • @MrNA1010 I don't think you understand that Rome lasted for one thousand years and laid the foundation for Western Civilization. Britain has yet to do anything that substantial. The British Empire didn't last to long at all.

  • @MrNA1010

brits only had the largest empire since they claimed 2 of the largest continent sized states such as canada and australia. As well as the most populated = India.

the largest country in the world is canada, also one of the least populated.

So the British Empire was hardly impressive

  • @USMarineRifleman0311 Russia is in fact the largest country in the world. Canada is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. The least populated country is Vatican City (800 citizens).

  • @USMarineRifleman0311

Dont mean to be a know it all, but isnt Russia bigger than Canada?

  • @BobaFett7789 Russia is bigger then Canada. *Points to a map*

  • WTF 3:20 Peter Weller from Robocop? Robocop in Syracuse Univerity!?! So Robocop is a scholar of ancient rome?

  • y does this start at Caesar and not at creation of rome 8th century bc..... full history of rome, no?

  • @PhunnyPunny it actually goes back later on in the series, idk why

  • @danagarro Yeah I saw that later on, its weird

  • This video is PURE EURO centrists!! Non of this is true, ROME was civilized by eastern ASIAN civilizations, they gave the world nothing BUT child molestation, racism & sexism!!!

  • 1:30 gayest julius caesar LOL

  • oh no... that ''dramatic'' soundtrack is on this documentary as well.... -_-

  • I was born 1,500 years too late. What a general I would have made. Destroying my enemies seeing them driven before me and hearing the lamentations of their woman. After I was done killing and expanding the Empire, I would have retired to a farm outside Rome and had me a few hundred Slaves from areas I conquered. I would fuck a new female slave every night and live the rest of my days in happiness.

  • These documentaries aren´t quite accurate. But it still is good story telling so I enjoyed it.

  • Ancient Rome was a civilization that grew out of a small agricultural community founded on the Italian Peninsula as early as the 10th century BC. Located along the Mediterranean Sea and centered on the city of Rome, it expanded to one of the largest empires in the ancient world.

  • In its centuries of existence, Roman civilization shifted from a monarchy to an oligarchic republic to an increasingly autocratic empire. It came to dominate South-Western Europe, South-Eastern Europe and the Balkans, and the Mediterranean region through conquest and assimilation.

  • Plagued by internal instability and attacked by various migrating peoples, the western part of the empire, including Italy, Hispania, Gaul, Britannia and Africa broke up into independent kingdoms in the 5th century AD. This splintering is the landmark historians use to divide the ancient period from the medieval era and the "Dark Ages".

  • The Eastern Roman Empire survived this crisis and was governed from Constantinople after Diocletian divided the Empire in 286 AD. It comprised Greece, the Balkans, Asia Minor, Syria and Egypt. Despite the later loss of Syria and Egypt to the Arab-Islamic Empire, the Eastern Roman Empire continued for another millennium, until its remains were finally annexed by the emerging Turkish Ottoman Empire.

  • This eastern, Christian, medieval stage of the empire is usually called the Byzantine Empire by historians.

  • Roman civilization is often grouped into "classical antiquity" with ancient Greece, a civilization that, along with the Etruscan civilization and the many other civilizations they conquered and assimilated, inspired much of the culture of ancient Rome. Ancient Rome contributed greatly to government, law, war, art, literature, architecture, technology, religion, and language in the Western world, and its history continues to have a major influence on the world today.

  • Did anyone else watch this on TV before?

  • Caesar's idol was Alexander III of Macedonia

  • hail ceasar

  • Im proud that the Romans were my ancestors and thanx for uploading the videos!!!

  • This is great

  • yo get a tv bitch

  • SPQR huh? Does that stand for Sono Pazzi Questi Romani? These Romans are crazy? lmao jk

  • Rome was only a military superpower...almost all of their architectural/scientific/philosophical/artistic etc. achievements they owe to ancient Greeks whose civilization they borrowed: hence the term: greco-roman civilization...

  • Lets go build a bridge guys! *General applause from everybody*

  • Thanks for the upload! It is much appreciated PureEducation.

  • LIARS - Egypt was the MOST Powerful and technological Civilization the world has ever seen. To say otherwise is nothing more than white propaganda and racism.

  • @greatbydesign33 whilst i agree Egypt was a greater civilization before Rome/Greece etc they were minor players in terms of war; they were conquered by Persia, Greece, Rome and others...cultural greatness is fine but Rome has that too, and more.

  • @greatbydesign33 eeeerrr....Egyptians were white too you know...

  • @steveharrismetalgod The Egyptians were black Africans. White's (the Greeks) invaded and came as conquerors in a much latter period. Even the Greeks like Heroduts - your "Father of History" CLEARLY stated the Egyptians were Black. And before Egypt was born - there was the Nubian dynasty of Tai Seti where 12 black Pharos reigned even before Egypt's very 1st Dynasty. Also, Egypt was very proud of where she came from and always acknowledged that she got her Civilization from "the South" - Kush.

  • @greatbydesign33...I've heared about this theory, but problem is there are no clues/evidence with which to substanciate it...In the hieroglyphs the Egyptians picture themselves as tanned-white,not black...Furthermore,could you please send me a link or sth. containing this quote you mention by Herodotus, 'cause I haven't read anything about him saying that the Egyptians were black...

  • @steveharrismetalgod Read "Black Athena" by Martin Bernal. He is one of your white scholars who documents the evidence you claim is not there. Also, - Egypt is in Africa so it really is not a stretch to imagine that Black Africans created Civilization in Africa (Egypt - Their own homeland). The REAL problem is your personal racism and the racism of some "scholars" who deny the linguistic, archeological and anthropological facts that do not fit in with their racist paradigms and agendas.

  • @steveharrismetalgod Also, you may want to go learn how to spell. The word "Heared" is correctly spelled "heard". And as for your research on Herodotus - stop being lazy and go find it yourself like I had to do. You may find it fascinating that the first Gods and Goddesses of Greece where indeed Black Africans. The Greeks did not know racism as we do today and they had great respect and reverence for the Black people (Egyptians) who taught them the arts of Civilized life.

  • @greatbydesign33 oh,OK now you went too far...claiming that the Egyptians were black is one think (there was actually some remote possibility you could be right-after all they were from Africa), but going as far as saying that the 12 olympian gods were black,???wtf?!-this is just plain random and rediculous...also: ''the egyptians taught greeks about the art of civilized life''?yeah, you wish...you can't re-write/make your own private afrocentrist version of history as you go kido...grow up

  • @greatbydesign33...friendly word of advice: quit whatever afrocentrist/black supremacy organization you've been dealing with 'cause they've really messed with your head-seriously!this is sad...next thing I'm gonna' hear from you is that the ancient chinese or japanese or even the american indians were black... Oh!and the quote by Herodotus, you couldn't find/reproduce 'cause it simply DOESN'T EXIST...grab an actual history book and educate yourself if you want anybody to take you seriously...

  • @steveharrismetalgod Friendlier word of advice Mr. KKK. I did not say these things. Ancient eye witnesses - the Greeks stated these FACTS. And even modern day WHITE scholars (not racist like you) have substantiated them. Yes - in the earliest days of Greece, the Gods and Goddesses were Black.Eventually the Greeks appropriated the images to look like themselves, but Greece was very proud of admitting the truth about the blacks. Racism as we know it today did not exist at that time dumb ass.

  • @steveharrismetalgod Oh. And by the way ... You are correct. Maybe your not as dumb as I thought you were. The first Dynasty of China was the Shang Dynasty, and this was an all Ethiopian Dynasty. Wow, and you figured that out all by yourself. It is not me re-writing history my friend. It is racist white people like you who rewrote history in order to justify the African slave trade to cover up the truth about how abominable your ancestors were and still are today as evidenced by you.

  • @greatbydesign33 LOL the first dynasty of china was not black lol what the hell you on about?

  • @AlexiusMoore Yes it was. Go look up the Shang you Fucking idiot.

  • @greatbydesign33 No they wern't u Black Supremist Moron.

HAHA i like how some delussioned black people are claiming that everything was invented by black people. First they said Egyption were black, then when that was disproven now they claim the Chinese where black, Please shut the fuck up and stop making shit up. Cos next it will be that the Eskimo's were black

  • @AlexiusMoore I did not say the Chinese were Black you MORON. I said their civilization originated from Black people. But being the RETARD that you are I know you do not have the ability to comprehend.

And how was ancient Egypt so called proven to be non-black you Liar? Don't you know that ALL races (including yo Ugly Ass) came from the BLACK race?

  • @greatbydesign33

HAHA Moron, We all didnt come from black people, we all came from africa. So we have African origins. But at that time the Africans were not Black DIPSHIT!.

As people migrated they evolved to adapt to their surroundings, The people who stayed in Africa evolved to the increasing Heat in Africa, and so their skin turned Black.

We all came from Africa but we were not Black, Africans turned Black later when climate change scorched Africa.

Hope your Dumb ass is taking notes

  • @AlexiusMoore

No we did not, there is no evidence at all!! If you respond show SOLID evidence!! As this theory has been debunked!!

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL

EMM Its hard to try and prove what skin colour people had a100,000 years ago , bcos skin disintegrates quickyl after death and remains shed no light.

But the fact that the climate was much different back then and Africa was not hot as it is now, gives light to the theory, also the ancient cave paintings found in Central Africa that show the Humans as having pink skin also reinforces the theory.

Now then only thing that needs Debunking is your head from you Ass!!!!!

  • @AlexiusMoore

    You have serious issues!!

SKIN COLOR does not state what race you are!!! My point is that you state that people originating from Africa is as ridiculous as KULUMBUS discovering new world!! CLEARLY your head is in UR ASS to state such a comment!!

If you respond do so with EVIDENCE!!

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL

Also what is up with u? Who the hell is kolumbus? LOL

HAHA your an Indian Supremist haha thats the funniest shit i've ever heard.

Romans where from East Asia hahaha ok whatever

Child molestations, says the Indian who believes in arrenged marriages between 5 year olds haha

If Indians are so Great and superior? Why are they living in a diseased shithole. They had a 15,000 year head start according to ur Indian encyclopedia yet still most live like rats

  • @AlexiusMoore #

LOL you are one of these NEGRO SUPREMACISTS, ancestors of slaves hehehe!

No wonder you have swallowed the BLACK lies of monkey theory & Africa being the origins, which it is NOT!!

Do you even know where the word Africa comes from??? A clue, Its not roman!!

Truth must hurt to know that we did not originate from monkeys or Africa!!

SHOW EVIDENCE WHEN YOU RESPOND ancestor of slave!!

  • @TheBENGALHANNIBAL

I'm not Black you Moron. The fact that i was arguing with a black person saying that many black people are dissilusioned would suggest that

Also wich means your whole paragraph of trying to degrade me has gone to waste lol.

Anyway Einstein, come on then tell me where we all originated from and tell me were the word Africa came from, and yes it is Latin, no such thing as roman lol. Also show evidence when you respond if you have the time to find any between your KKK rallies

  • @AlexiusMoore

heheh Actually the word Africa is from ASIA India, SANSKRIT APARA meaning west!! The Phoneticians too have some influence.

Ancient European languages Roma, greece & even older ie CELTS, Norse, slavs all stem from SANSKRIT India.

As for the source of humanity, if you do your own research, u will see what u have been taught v TRUTH reality is very different. BUT Africa or Europe are not the birth of anything, as they were civilized!!

  • @AlexiusMoore The only race that hasnt created anything of worth is the black race. Arabs=Math. Medicine, Asian=gun powder, European=Advanced math. Science and exploration. Blacks=free labor to build empires

  • @cwood4ever I agree with u there bcos the facts are there..... But its not because of their race, its more to do with their culture. All Race are just as capable as one another but it depends what they do with their capabilities

  • @cwood4ever

    You have pure ignorance, I will correct you;

    ASIANS are ARABS & Chinese!!

1,Arabs did not invent maths it was the Indians, here you are talking about thee most ancient civilization of all!!

2, Europeans did NOT invent advanced maths, this was practiced 10s of 10s 000years!! Europe civilization is what 2500yrs old ASIAN is 20 000+ yrs!!

3, BLACK, color is not a race!! YOU have much to learn, MUCH!!

  • @steveharrismetalgod Hey dumb dumb. do a Google on some of the topics I am educating you about. You will be in school for the very first time if you are brave enough to research it punk.

  • @greatbydesign33 ahahah this insult made my day, funny shit ahahaha

  • @greatbydesign33 China?

  • @joejoejoe532 Go look up the Shang Dynasty.

  • Its " Guy-us" (Gaius) get some pronunciation guides, funny how these fellas always get hitlers name right.......mind,it is The Hitler Channel......mind,saying all that, cuzcatlan has got it right....he waxed his legs too......funny lot them Romans, all those mini skirts and gladiator sandels....makes a mockery of Dont Ask Dont Tell...

  • One of the few good documentaries they still show on the history channel.

  • julius "GAY...US" I heard he tried it

  • We couldn't even get one pi lone in the bed rock in 10 days.. Caesar, and his Engineers would make a mockery if the saw how things were done today:)

  • @1958louief

agreed ha ha. I think the fall of rome is happening once again in America and Brittian.

  • @johnnyfive222 Yeah I agree with that one too, idk well see tho hopefully not. We might be worse off

  • the caesar guy in this video is hot :D

  • Romans were super bad. lol

  • o if she never fell

  • Some people say that the reason why Christ came during the time of Rome is because it was the greatest time in the history of humanity.

  • @yojo12ify If it was so great why did they kill him?

  • @DrDavidHowler because humanity isnt perfect.

  • It's sad that today all we see are the destroyed ruins of these great civilizations. The time of Rome was possibly one of the greatest times in the history of mankind.

  • @yojo12ify If i could choose a time, and place in history to live my life.I'd be in rome,at it's height.Sipping wine in a hot bath with a loosely robed servant girl rubbing me down with oil....ahhh.

  • @noblepuker haha. who wouldnt enjoy that??

  • @noblepuker

Or you could be born as a frigging slave chugging it out at some farm, being whipped by your handler...

Even if you were born an aristocrat, you might lose your life in a political intrigue. I think you should be thankful that you are born in modern times, and go to some clandestine massage parlour where they provide sex ;)

  • @1tephania Your undoubtly correct. In rome, I'D be the loosely robed servant living a nightmare.

  • @noblepuker Rubbing me? I'd hope your a woman. Anyway, its something like 2 slaves for every person in rome, so your odds of being a slave would be 2/3. what is 2/3 of the 43,205 ppl that watch this video?

  • FOOLS. they most likely could have bottlenecked them on that bridge if they didn't run.

  • Gayus Julius Ceaser

  • @lordspike100 Uh ha ha ha? Oh wait calling things gay isnt funny.

  • When a government shifts from a republic of law to a democracy of mob rule, it's the beginning of the end

  • 03:18

    Its Peter Weller

Robocop is an historian lol lol

  • history of Rome part 1 of 9..and it begins with Julius Ceasar?

  • @Frankie3112Nld

    Yes

    "Engineering an empire" the title

He played a critical role in the gradual transformation of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire.

  • @sansez ..Rome's history in fact started with 7 kings:

    753 - 716 B.C. - Romulus

    716 - 673 B.C. - Numa Pompilius

    673 - 641 B.C. - Tullus Hostilius

    641 - 616 B.C. - Ancus Martius

    616 - 578 B.C. - Tarquinius Priscus

    578 - 534 B.C. - Servius Tullius

    534 - 509 B.C. - Tarquinius Superbus..

a republic and then the empire.

  • wher is ezio auditore da firenze

  • How is this a "Complete Full-Scale History" when it starts in40BC? Where are the first four and a half centuries? Typical History Channel crap.

  • Why do history shows have people guessing shit and say it as if it's fact not one person from back then is alive to tell what happen histrory is a shit loud of lies on lies if people want to know what really happen in the past we will need to brake the speed of light and fire something in space to take pictures of it

  • History is written by the victors so we often only get one side of the story. The Romans were quite good as they had a lot of historians and social commentators like Cicero who wrote what they thought and were often apposed to the people in power.Julius Caesars war diaries from Gaul are worth a read as there quite revealing about the man.He comes across as a bit of a git which is the opposite to what he intended when he wrote them.

  • The bridge - building is amazing.

  • so...why does this only have 20000 views and snukie has 2 million? are we going to fall faster than rome?

  • @1266west

yes, we will fall faster than rome.

  • @1266west snookie aint roman shes mexican. lol

  • @1266west What do you think in ancient Rome - people saw the greek tragedies more or the Gladiator fights?

  • @Spandex08 i think what they saw, was who was next in line at the weekly orgy.

  • @1266west Grand social structures and civilization made it possible to organize such large scale co-operation. The understanding of human nature in a more natural way must have been more common and wide spread before Christianity began to twist people's vision of what the human animal is like.

Old cultures and religions had more human-like gods and myths with lots of creative variety instead of all this same degenerative self deception and hypocrisy that modern Christianity based culture has.

  • @ZardexM right, and dont you get the idea, that knowing less about the world, in fact, make some one want to learn more about the world? i realy feel like they were, in truth, smarter then than we are now-as a group.

  • It's difficult to understand when you think about what a global nation of passive slaves modern human society is that we can actually be from the same species as our ancestors from ancient times.

  • @ZardexM no kidding, good point.

  • so...why does this only have 20000 views and snukie has 2 million? are we going to fall faster than rome?

  • Hi, thank you for posting this. This is amazing. Orgoglioso di essere figlio dei Romani.

  • Not in ones fingertip but in an educated society that votes for a group of educated perfect leaders. I mean like one believe and one holly book for all men and one country with one law for everybody in the Earth.

That is what I wish to happen, I know it is almost just a dream. Is there any other solution or Idea that will provide a peaceful human life?
