For the record, Lepus is the genus name for hares. So, like, they figured that nobody would know animal genus names (I certainly didn't before I went to Wikipedia). I'll go ahead and assume this was so they could say what the movie was about without actually saying what it was about (a statement that made way more sense in my head).
Now that that rant is over, the way the narrator says the title makes me happy. "The NIGHT...of the LLLEPUS."
XD LAUGHING MY MUTHER FUCKING ASS OFF! i dont think they showed they eyes enough! LOL. i loved how they kept asking "what could it be"?!!? RABBITS! ya dumb fuck! LOL
The weirdest idea for a movie! giant killer bunnies, they are too cute and cuddly to be giant killers and aren't scary. They should do a remake where they are actually mutated with sharp teeth and red eyes yet tear their victims to shreds and needs a director who is a fan of the original.
I can't take the idea of this film seriously, when I just saw a pair of bunnies in my garden 'fighting' over a shred of grass. IMO, too cute to be deadly.
WOW this film looks good. LOL This must be a very low budget film. The idea is not a old one I give them that, kinda creative. Did any of you every think of killer rabbits before hearing of this film? LOL I had not.
Wow. "Let's make a horror movie!" "Yeah, great idea! What should it be about?" "Something everyone's afraid of: GIANT RABBITS!" "Dude, just because you have Leporiphobia doesn't mean everyone does." "No, no, trust me, it'll be great!" "Alright, but I think it'll sell better if we don't say they're rabbits in the trailer..."
Hey in old horror movies, why do they have to say the title like 50 times!? NIGHT...OF THE LEPUS!! NIGHT...OF THE LEPUS!! NIGHT.......OF THE LEPUS!!!!!
@TheNYCDestroyed I saw this Movie as a Kid and I keep telling people about it and no one believe me it's real because I didn't know the Movie name. But now I know. Now I can tell my mok the Movie I been talking about for over 15 years.
I would like to a see a remake, with the Rabzillas invading (1) A salad processing plant (2) A carrot farm (3) A Child care center where kids are watching Bugs Bunny.
hahahah i love watchin movies lk Black Sheep (the one with the killer sheep not the chris farley one lol) and Killdozer cuz theyre so rediculous but i probly wouldnt watch this if it never shows em
You're all real brave when it's on youTube, but admit it! A 12-foot bunny rabbit that can tear you apart and eat you with its vicious pointy teeth would make you soil yourselves with fear!
I only saw this because it had De Kelley. Thing that cratered it? The "effects people" had no concept of scale. The bunnies are terrorizing the cardboard street, galloping past HO scale street signs, towering over them. Then one of them crashes through a window, with PLENTY of room to spare. Hello?
Well aren't you clever? I don't think anyone was implying that they'd happily go up against a 12 foot insane rabbit trying to eat them in real life, but I can't really imagine being scared by a fucking film about a giant bunny, if mostly because it's so fucking bizarre.
WOW, that trailer sure does NOT scream of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! Of course not the fact that the narrator says it over and over again just like in both trailers. I laso love how they never show that it's just killer bunnies. The studio probably did their homework for 5 minutes. After realizing lepus means bunny, they made sure people had to pay first before they also got to figure out it was just killer bunnies. It was probably secretly directed by Andy Kaufman. Haha. :P
Okay, I'm halfway into this movie and it's pretty bad. I'm taking an intermission break.
I always liked Stuart Whitman, probably the only reason I'll watch the rest.
Previews have come a long way. The cheesy, echoing voice is pretty laughable, but endearing.
There's a scene in a mine where Whitman fights off a giant (magnified/stuffed) rabbit. You see a sheet of glass (?) with a hole in it. I wonder if it's part of the magnifying apparatus.
Behind those big floppy ears, those adorable twitching noses, those big, innocent eyes, lies a cold-blooded monster of which the likes of you can never hope to understand! Don't fall for their cute charms- it's all a facade! Run away! RUN AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Gotta give the filmmakers one thing, at least they used real bunnies instead of fake demon-looking bunnies because THAT would have just looked silly. :)
I'm a Stu Whitman fan, too. And Rory Calhoun. The trailer looks good, but the flick in its entirety pretty much sucked. But that's showbiz. They're actors. When they don't act, they don't eat.
