For the record, Lepus is the genus name for hares. So, like, they figured that nobody would know animal genus names (I certainly didn't before I went to Wikipedia). I'll go ahead and assume this was so they could say what the movie was about without actually saying what it was about (a statement that made way more sense in my head).

Now that that rant is over, the way the narrator says the title makes me happy. "The NIGHT...of the LLLEPUS."

The weirdest idea for a movie! giant killer bunnies, they are too cute and cuddly to be giant killers and aren't scary. They should do a remake where they are actually mutated with sharp teeth and red eyes yet tear their victims to shreds and needs a director who is a fan of the original.

I only saw this because it had De Kelley. Thing that cratered it? The "effects people" had no concept of scale. The bunnies are terrorizing the cardboard street, galloping past HO scale street signs, towering over them. Then one of them crashes through a window, with PLENTY of room to spare. Hello?

WOW, that trailer sure does NOT scream of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! Of course not the fact that the narrator says it over and over again just like in both trailers. I laso love how they never show that it's just killer bunnies. The studio probably did their homework for 5 minutes. After realizing lepus means bunny, they made sure people had to pay first before they also got to figure out it was just killer bunnies. It was probably secretly directed by Andy Kaufman. Haha. :P

I always liked Stuart Whitman, probably the only reason I'll watch the rest.

Previews have come a long way. The cheesy, echoing voice is pretty laughable, but endearing.

There's a scene in a mine where Whitman fights off a giant (magnified/stuffed) rabbit. You see a sheet of glass (?) with a hole in it. I wonder if it's part of the magnifying apparatus.

Watch Calhoun in "Motel Hell." Good flick!
