@joek0617 Most engines carry at least 750' of supply hose, and since it usually is connected in one long length, you don't want to charge all 750' esp. if there is a lot of hose left in the bed. The hose still left in the bed is going to fly all over the place when you open the hydrant and you want to avoid having to repack all 750+ feet when you're done.
why not run a pipe up to the hose bed so u can run ur supply line preconnected?
