2nd. It is not exactly thruth what you wrote. I don't know about other Balkan nations music, but Bulgarian folk music is mainly Bulgarian, not slavonic, nor grecian/Byzantin/Roman/christi­an. And old Bulgarians are eastern people, more related with celts, than with slavs. There are Balkan influences of course, just like in language, but they are shallow. In language - only in lexis, not in grammar.

Actually, the name is not "Radina," but it is "Rada." The word "Radina" is used because of the way Bulgarian grammar works. People almost never use that case nowadays if at all... Since the song is an old folk song though, the language is old too... Hope that helps you understand better. The actual name is "Rada" and it sounds similar to the Romanian "Radu." The male version of that name in Bulgaria is "Rado."
