Personally i don't think that Avatar should've had the hype it had because it wasn't that great to be honest. I can fully appreciate the special effects, they were amazing; but i wouldn't say it was that great. Wheras the hurt locker was just amazing and i highly recommend it and she soo deserved this award instead of James Cameron!

If its was made to be realistic then it would be a documentary.

It was a really good film, my brother who is serving in the army said that even though the film exaggerates and is unrealistic, it still shows people what goes on in Iraq and Afghanistan and what the soldiers are put through and their feelings about being in war and the trauma.
