what the hell Konami developers had in their minds to make players shoot penalties like that.They should make like International Superstar Soccer or FIFA,where you have a "3rd" person view,which is much easier to know where you are shooting and where the goalkeeper should move to.I have never scored a goal because I can't choose the best direction the ball will follow.

I just started playing this game, and the penalties ar frustratingly hard BUT one thing makes me feel like this might be the best penalty system ever in a game. In previous FIFA nad PES, penalties were only "luck" (point one way, and if the keeper goes that way he will save, even if you shoot at the top corner) with this system, if you get the shot high , you score, just like in real games the keeper will only save the low ones

I found that PES 2011 has the best penalty system in footballing game... once you know how to do it, you'll love to take another chance... you must be smart to do it, not just 'point-&-kick' penalty like the previous version,...

here's a little trick for you:

- if the taker a righthanded, shoot it to the left..

- if the taker a lefthanded, shoot to he right..

- always press a final up button in a flash..

Has anybody ever had the ball hit the post and come back directly to the penalty kick taker without it touching any other player? I got scored on PES 2010 this way a couple of times, seems like the programmers forgot to add the proper rule. I wonder if in PES 2011 they've corrected this.

pes online is the most shit thing i ever seen. ive been playing football games since 94, and this game has made sure that this is the last one i ever buy. its online play is shit, you have to rely on people not fucking you over and you cant. dirty spain dirty france and dirty italy will screw you over at any opportunity. ive had this game since the reklease date and ive been screwed over hundreds of times. Good tutorial. I only wish the Konami designers hadn't made it so your in game penalties and practice penalties are from this angle, but in a penalty shootout it goes to the 'classic' behind the player camera. It just cost me a shootout because I took two penalties getting the hang of how the hell it actually shoots.

my 2c

1. using the cross pad is easier for beginners;

2. up and down direction is the most important input, while left or right is not. Try practising without pressing left or right;

3. left is "lob" kick, which doesn't have much practical use; while RIGHT ONLY is controlling the height. The longer you hold right key, the higher the shot.

4. there IS penalty training. Go to freekick in training and move the ball anywhere inside the box, it turns to penalty automatically. Enjoy!

The noobie developers at Konami fucked up again. What a terrible and complicated system for the easiest way to score in real life football. PES series can be so many times better if they just fired the sound engineers and some developers who haven't hit a football in his or her lifes. The gameplay and basis is great but please, just detail this game much and much more.
