Blood type O's need a meat based diet to maintain their muscle and strength.. they are the old hunters.. and have a highly acidic stomach to digest these proteins.. the A;s do not need red meat at all.. same with veg and fruits some work for one person and not others.

Oh the zone is sooo hard really? What is so hard about measuring this zone breakfast. 2 cups spinach, 3/4 cup egg beaters(eggwhites), with olive oil, and 1 cup strawberries. the zone instead of being a hassle gives me ideas of what to eat, and is a great tool for seeing what foods to avoid at all cost. 40 30 30 is refering to % of calories from carb / protein/ fat BUT functionaly is determined to be 40 30 15 because some fat is assumed to be in the protein - it worked well for me but is WORK!

The zone diet works and is actually healthy and comfortable to be on. It's nearly the same as Dan Duchaines Isocaloric diet. Very good diet for bodybuilders.
It IS a fact that insulin has EVERYTHING to do with storing fat. Over fat people have hyperinsulinism. This is due to eating too many carbs, too much refined carbs - read: high fructose corn syrup, and not getting enough exercise. This shuts down the body's insulin receptors and leads to hyperinsulinism and too much stored fat. Incidentally, this is actually low-grade type II diabetes. You are not a diabetic yet, but you are not normal either. This is reversible, as is type 2 diabetes.
